Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties is now accepting applications for our Afterschool Program at its six Club locations across Sarasota and DeSoto Counties.

Our After School Program, a comprehensive School Year program, serves kids ages 6 to 12 with on-site support and out-of-school time activities designed to foster academic success, leadership development, and career exploration.

What is the After School Program?

Our After School program is a comprehensive school year program that provides a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for students once the school day ends.

Are there snacks or meals provided?

Yes — healthy snacks are served daily as part of our After School Program at no additional cost. While we cannot accommodate all dietary restrictions, we encourage parents and guardians to notify staff of any allergies.

When does the After School Program take place?

Our After School Program runs Monday through Friday during the academic year, immediately following school dismissal until 6 p.m.

Bus transportation makes it easy for your child to get from school straight to our Club locations. We provide service from select elementary, middle, and high schools in Sarasota County and DeSoto County to our Club sites at no cost to families, ensuring a safe, supervised transition into our after school programs.

Scholarship Information

Scholarships for the After School Program ensure cost is never a barrier to getting the best after school care. Scholarships are available to families who qualify for free or reduced lunch through the National School Lunch Program.

The approval letter from the Sarasota or DeSoto County school district must be included with the scholarship request application. You will be contacted regarding the status of your scholarship application following acceptance into the program and before payment is due.

A limited number of scholarships are available at each Club location, and applications will be processed in the order received.
