The Heart of Everything is an epic AU fanfic for the lovely anime
Princess Tutu, which I adore quite a bit. <33 It involves the same
characters from the show in a new world as well as a new plot that draws
from the elements of the original series but adds its own twists and
alterations. This story will be epic length, most definitely, and
could top out at as many as fifty chapters. XD;
As of right now, this fic will be updated every Friday! I am far enough
ahead in my writing that I feel I can keep up with this set schedule.
However, as we all know, life can be unpredictable at times. If any delays
have to occur, then I will be sure to post an alert as soon as possible.
This fic will follow the same pattern as the show concerning pairings,
which means we’ll be starting off with Ahiru + Mytho at the beginning,
but this will change as the story proceeds. <33
The rating for this story is PG-13/T. This is not due to
extreme language, or because of anything sexual (nothing past kissing
occurs.). This rating is due to violence. Characters are hurt,
and quite a few gruesome scenes occur and are described as such. Many
mentions of blood are made. If this will bother you, then it might be
best to turn back now!
The story takes place in a more primitive time period than the series.
Though it is meant to echo the structure and various lifestyles of the
medieval period, there will be anachronisms, variations, and unique
elements that set it apart.
The characters are a little older than they appear in the series.
Both Ahiru and Rue are sixteen. Mytho is seventeen (as you’ve read in
the prologue, his eighteenth birthday plays a huge role in the plot).
Fakir is eighteen, soon to be nineteen.
The story begins eleven years after the events in the prologue have
taken place. There are around four months to go before Mytho’s eighteenth birthday.
There are two characters who will seem OOC, at least initially. One
is Mytho, who has his heart (and whom I’ve supplied what I think is
an appropriate personality. :D) The other is Edel, who is human, and
therefore is able to express varying emotions, though she should still
remain...Edel-ish in various ways. All other characters should retain
their original personalities! If you have a problem with anyone’s
characterization, please let me know! :D
