Thank you for visiting our website! My name is Betsy Dale, and I am the owner & creator of Betsy Dale Hats! I’m a self-taught hat designer that has expanded into a mobile western boutique that offers apparel and accessories to complement each hat we design! Our hats are one-of-a-kind pieces of art that provide individuality, comfort and affordability! Customers can purchase already made hats or order a custom design. We’re based in a small town in West Virginia and would like to share how our small business began!     

After being captivated by the old West, the rustic charm of Montana and its breathtaking natural beauty I returned home with a vision to create a beautiful hat with character! With a deep-seated enthusiasm for hats and an artistic background I decided to bring my vision to life!

With a small table, a hat, a few supplies and an old farmhouse as my backdrop; I sat down and started a creation! Designing my first hat helped me discover my “core” passion! After years of nurturing a deep affection for horses and owning a small farm I decided to embark on a new journey and change my career. I had spent years working in the horse industry, and it was hard to admit my love for horses wasn’t my true passion but rather a catalyst for what would follow! I made a handful of hats and started selling at Local boutiques, fashion shows, concerts & rodeos.

It turns out combining my two favorite things, horses and cowboy hats were the perfect combination!  After careful consideration I decided to start a business and name it Betsy Dale Hats! At Betsy Dale Hats every hat design is hand crafted with care and diligence. Our hats are a unique expression of your personality combining authentic pieces and bits of history that tell a story & make a great conversation piece!

I’m Dedicating my business to my parents who taught me the value of hard work my entire life! The name honors my late father Dale and my mother who insisted that I bear his name. Thanks mom!! I hope this brings a smile to your face, as it does mine!
