EWR Editing Suite is a cross-platform desktop editor for Extreme Warfare Revenge 4.2 data files and save files, built with Tauri + Vite + React + TypeScript.

The goal of this project is simple: make EWR database and save editing faster, cleaner, and safer, while staying as close to native EWR behavior as possible.

This project is not meant to be a vague “inspired by EWR” editor. It is being built specifically around the structure, limits, quirks, and workflows of real EWR 4.2 .dat files and save-game files.
What EWR Editing Suite Is

EWR Editing Suite is a modern desktop application for viewing, editing, and writing EWR 4.2 files through a consistent interface.

It is designed to help mod makers and save editors work with:

base database files from the DATA folder
in-progress save-game files
external CSV workflows
bulk editing workflows
record creation / copying / deletion
save-aware repair and utility tools where appropriate

The application uses a consistent editor pattern across modules:

left panel for file controls, search, sort, filters, and record navigation
right panel for record details and editing
reusable card-based layouts
shared import/export and multi-delete workflows where supported

Hi everyone!

I’m currently developing Main Event: Wrestling Manager, a wrestling booking simulator, and we’re starting to open up the creation suite for custom data packs.

Because modding communities are such a huge part of management games, I’d really love to get some experienced data pack creators involved early.

To help with that, I’m giving away 3 Steam keys for the pre-alpha specifically for people who enjoy creating wrestling databases, rosters, or custom universes.

The idea is to let creators get hands on with the tools early, experiment with the creation suite, and give feedback so we can improve the workflow before release.

## Gimmick System
- Brand new gimmick system for your wrestlers
- Give each gimmick a custom name, nickname, image and alignment
- Gimmicks adjust stats like charisma, technical, brawling, aerial and psychology
- Effectiveness rating influences how well a wrestler performs
- Gimmicks naturally lose their edge over time so you need to keep things fresh
- Manage gimmicks from each wrestler's career page
- See all active gimmicks at a glance from the Office dashboard
- Create new gimmicks quickly right from the Office widget

## Effectiveness System
- Every wrestler now has an effectiveness rating
- Track how hot or cold each wrestler is over time
- Bad segments drag effectiveness down
- Great segments give a bigger effectiveness boost
- Wrestlers appearing in multiple segments per show feel the full effect
- Effectiveness now plays into how well segments are rated
- Control how fast effectiveness fades in Quick Settings


## Booking & Segments
- Random segment generation now respects team size expectations
- Interface panel to choose who interferes, against whom and when
- Past gimmicks shown correctly when viewing older shows
- Team size is enforced on team selection based on the segment type
- New production rehearsal view with reworked before/after
- All stats change based on promo or segment performance

## Gimmick Integration
- Wrestler lists now show the gimmick they had at the time
- Championship reigns display the correct gimmick from that era
- Factions and title histories reflect past gimmicks accurately
- Tournaments and rumbles show the right gimmick for each entry
- Storylines update to reflect gimmick changes as they happen
- Gimmick changes now appear on your calendar



## Settings & Configuration
- New slider in Quick Settings to control how fast gimmicks go stale
- Choose how quickly effectiveness fades each month (0 to 10)
- Removed the minimum effectiveness floor so wrestlers can truly bottom out

## Talent Usage Dashboard
- Brand new Talent Usage page in the Office section
- Each wrestler card shows their recent and upcoming show appearances
- See who is ready to go and who needs time off based on morale and injuries
- Pin your key wrestlers to the top so they are always easy to find
- Book wrestlers into shows directly from their activity card
- Add segments to upcoming shows without leaving the page
- Filter between active and unused wrestlers, plus search by name
- Past and upcoming shows combined into one easy timeline
- Switch between brands to focus on one roster at a time
- Browse through wrestlers page by page with handy activity summaries
- Pie charts for male and female wrestlers to see how active they are


## Office Layout
- Office widgets are now organised into swipeable carousel groups
- Choices, Booking, Roster, and History groups set up by default
- Swipe or use arrows to browse through widgets in each group
- Collapse entire groups by tapping the header to tidy things up
- Groups remember whether you left them open or closed
- Move widgets between groups using the Layout Customiser
- Other and Custom groups available for your own layout
- Grid and carousels can be reset on the sidebar panel
- Added rating graph this month widget
- Added best segment this month widget


## Fixes & Improvements
- Championship widget now only shows defences for the current month
- Injured wrestlers correctly return to available status after recovery
- Stat sliders are easier to see in dark mode
- Light theme is less severe on the eyes
- Under-the-hood improvements to how data is loaded and saved
- Office widgets now highlight when you hover over them
- Tidied up the Office section layouts
- New site bg for light and dark themes
- Show and date fields now sit side-by-side when booking
- Championships display in a better order

UI-related updates:
1. I have made some UI improvements, currently I'm trying to adopt a modular architecture where users can configure their own home screen.
2. I'm trying to create a wrestler sprite generator system; it will be in beta version and based on players feedback it will be in the first stable release or not.

New systems:
1. Chaos System: Unexpected things can happen before, during and after shows. These moments will be rare but they can have a big influence on the game world.

2. Chaos-Driven Stories: Some chaos events can become story opportunities.

3. Story System Expansion: Stories now grow in stages, they can escalate, stall or resolve naturally.

4. Story Control & Authority: Each story has its own level of control, player decides if a story is fully locked or can evolve freely.

5. Echoes of the Past: Some long-ago completed stories may resurface naturally over time. Players can choose whether to continue it or let it remain the past.

6. Match Chaos: Botches and referee mistakes can happen and these moments can affect current or future stories.

7. Chemistry System: Match type is now a variable of chemistry system. Some wrestlers will work better in certain environments than others.

8. Memory & Legacy: The game will remember important stories and past moments will influence the future. Some stories can define careers, for the good or for the worst.


These systems are evolving and will be shaped by early access users feedback. Not all features are fully connected yet but I am actively working on it.
