About Berify.com

Who We Are:

Berify is a reverse image search service based in Southern California. We help you find where else your images are being used on the internet.

What We Do:

Our advanced search algorithm allows you to know where else your images are being used online. All our blog and social content is geared towards helping you protect your intellectual property. Whether you're a photographer protecting your photos, or a lawyer helping a creative client, we have your back.

How Can We Help You:

We understand you have a busy life and work schedule. With Berify you can have systems in place to notify you when someone else uses your photos. You can keep tabs on your content without having to constantly check up on it. Let us do the heavy work so you can.

How Our Reverse Image Search Works

Berify searches over 800 million images using a multi-engine approach. We don't just rely on one source—we query Google, Bing, Yandex, and other major search engines simultaneously, then combine and filter the results using our proprietary matching algorithm.

This matters because different search engines index different parts of the web. Google might miss an image hosted on a Russian website that Yandex catches. Bing might surface a match on a small blog that other engines overlooked. By searching everywhere at once, you get results that no single search engine could provide alone.

Exact Matches vs. Similar Matches

Our algorithm detects both exact duplicates and modified versions of your images. Someone cropped your photo? We'll find it. They added a filter, removed your watermark, or flipped it horizontally? We'll still catch it. This is where most free reverse image search tools fall short—they only find exact copies.

We use perceptual hashing, which means we're comparing what images look like, not just their file data. Two images can have completely different file sizes, formats, and metadata, but if they show the same content, we'll match them.

Who Uses Berify?

Professional Photographers

Wedding, portrait, and commercial photographers use Berify to monitor their portfolios. When a client shares photos without credit, or a website uses images without licensing, they know about it.

Stock Photo Contributors

Artists who sell through stock agencies often find their work used without payment. Berify helps track unauthorized use so contributors can pursue licensing fees or takedowns.

Copyright Attorneys

Lawyers use Berify to build infringement cases. Our search results provide documentation of where and when stolen images appeared online, which is critical evidence in copyright disputes.

Digital Artists & Illustrators

Digital art theft is rampant, especially with the rise of print-on-demand stores. Artists use Berify to find unauthorized merchandise and take action against sellers profiting from their work.

Models & Content Creators

Models need to know where their likeness appears. Berify helps track photos across the web, identifying unauthorized use or violations of usage agreements.

E-commerce & Brand Managers

Companies use Berify to monitor product images and brand assets. When competitors or counterfeiters steal product photos, brands can identify and address the issue quickly.

Why Image Theft Matters

Image theft isn't just annoying—it's expensive. According to industry research, 64% of professional photographers have had their work stolen, with average losses of $446 per stolen image. For photographers who shoot hundreds or thousands of images per year, those losses add up fast.

The problem got worse with the rise of social media and content marketing. Businesses need constant visual content, and not all of them are willing to pay for it. Many assume they can grab images from Google and use them without consequences. Others deliberately remove watermarks or alter images to avoid detection.

Free reverse image search tools like Google Images or TinEye help, but they have serious limitations. They miss modified images, don't search all corners of the web, and don't provide ongoing monitoring. That's why we built Berify—to give creators a real tool for protecting their work, not just a basic search that misses half the infringements.

Our Commitment to Creators

We believe creators deserve to control how their work is used. Whether you're a full-time professional or a hobbyist who posts on Instagram, your images belong to you. When someone uses them without permission, you have the right to know—and the right to do something about it.

Berify exists to level the playing field. Big companies have legal teams and monitoring services. Individual creators usually don't. We provide the same capability at a price independent artists and photographers can afford.

We're not lawyers and can't give legal advice, but we can give you the information you need to make informed decisions about your work. Whether you want to send a DMCA takedown, negotiate a licensing fee, or just know who's sharing your images, Berify gives you that visibility.
