I saw Lord of The Rings!
It's been out in the cinemas here since Boxing day, but I had to wait because I couldn't get a booking for Gold Class (the small cinemas with recliner chairs and drink service and the like) because it was sold out...But we (my bf and I) saw it today.
Worth the wait it was :)
I wouldn't say that I loved it as such, but it was pretty fantastic. The only prob was that I kept comparing it to the book (which I love to pieces and finished for the first time last week). I guess that could be expected. But it was a damn good adaptation, better than Harry Potter was to film.

Some characterisations I didn't agree with...my main one being how Aragorn looked like he'd shunned responsibility for Isildur's sword - how in the books he had been carrying it around with him, but in the movie, it had been kept at Lothlorien...
Just things like that. I'll probably post more about that tonight when I have more time to think it over. But on the whole it was pretty damn good :)
On other things, we watched a couple of movies on video last night that I hadn't seen before - Mallrats (Kevin Smith dir) and Starship Troopers. Mallrats was pretty funny, although I prefer Dogma. And no, I haven't seen Clerks. But atleast now I understand the whole "Jay and Silent Bob" thing a bit better...or, not so much that, but I understand a bit more of their background. Kinda.
Starship Troopers made for some weird dreams last night, most notably, where me and my bf were being taken/going to a space academy type thing, and he was being taken away from me, which upset me greatly and made me feel like my heart/a part of me had been ripped out.
Enough for now, I'll probably write more later. Cheers.
