What is your LJ username and why did you choose it?
I don't think I've actually ever answered this on here...or atleast, not for quite a long time.
BeadPixie came about as a combination of a few things. Firstly, at the time I was absolutely obsessed with beading and beads. Secondly, my icq username around that time was "midnight pixie" because I was going through a phase where I just could not get to bed earlier than midnight. This phase went on for several months for no apparent reason. So when it came time to pick my actual journal name, BeadPixie seemed very removed from any of the other online names I've used in the past on lists and communities, and was also fairly removed from anything people in real life would know me for.
A funny thing I realised whilst writing my fandom essay, dredging up various memories about a certain X-Files community I was part of...one of my favourite posters that I worshipped on that list went by the name "Bead" which was short for "BeadSlut" b/c of her penchant for Mardi Gras beads. Just found that interesting :)
