And, it's vaguely related to what I have to say next! Last night, I finally got around to watching St Elmo's Fire! So I'm pretty much finished with the big 80s films, as I saw 16 Candles when it was on TV here the other night also. This is the entry where I yack about The Breakfast Club and The Big Chill.

Out of the four of them, I probably enjoyed St Elmo's and The Breakfast Club the most. As madame_muppet mentioned in there somewhere, Big Chill is very overrated and is very blah in comparison to St Elmo's. 16 Candles was okay and amusing in an 80s Teen Angst way. Molly Ringwald is so sweet/cute in a typecast way.

Judd Nelson in St Elmo's was just plain funny if you see the role as a subversion of the rebel he plays in Breakky Club...I found this endlessly funny. I can still see elements of QAF Brian in there too, which is...interesting :)

So I've seen The Big Four 80s films...are there any others I've missed?
