gah.
I had more to say, but can't for the life of me remember what else I had to say.
The Velvet Goldmine lecture and tutorials this week have been excellent. Read an interview with the director (Todd Haynes) which was really interesting. I shall scan and upload it if I get a moment in the next few days, cos it's really worth reading if you're a fan of the movie.
I hadn't watched the movie in it's entirety for quite a while, so rewatching it unearthed several things that I'd forgotten about or was unaware of last year. The main thing being the similarities between Citizen Kane and Velvet Goldmine - the reporters looking for the answers to "What is Rosebud?" and "What is the Velvet Goldmine?" respectively, amongst others. Mildly funny thing about those questions - the answer is that they're slang for a vagina. Amongst other actual answers, if you know what I mean. Learnt some great stuff this week and am getting quite into the whole queer theory and commodity fetishism ideas too, which is great.
Our lecturer also has a thing for JRM. *broad smile*

With a come-hither look like that, who could resist?
I think I'll leave it there for tonight folks, sweet dreams :)
