wickedcherub and I saw One Hour Photo today
In short, it creeped us out and we will both be getting digital cameras now to cut out the middle-man.
*shudder*
It was a nicely made film however. Fairly straight forward and suspenseful and a good use of colour. Hell, I really liked the use of colour. Stark contrasts being the key - the Sy the Photo Guy (the loner and freak guy) and his house, work place etc being very sterile colours, white, neutral tones in clinical surrounds. By comparison, the protagonist family was all warm colours, technicolour, textures, woods and metals.
They also had a house that is coming second now on my Favourite Movie House List. The first being the house from Sleepless in Seattle. Very close running though. As I said to Cherub though, this is not a film that I will watch compulsively due to the house. I doubt that I will see this film again any time soon (if at all).
The clothing and hair was great too particularly on Connie Nielsen. I want my hair cut like hers in the movie.
I have renewed my lusting over Michael Vartan.

Robin Williams was suitably creepy and played the role very well. Very tortured, awkward.
It's not a film that I'm going to go pimping constantly, but if you're after something a little dramatic, psychologically creepy, go see it. If you don't like things that play with your mind and privacy and that kind of thing...I'd err on the stay away side.
