Public Service Announcement with regards to Yahoo...
With the changes that happened at Yahoo and Yahoo groups and Yahoo mail, etc a few weekends ago, they've done some nasty spam-eriffic stuff...
They've basically sold your personal info off to various companies and the like so they can send you "promotional information" ie spam. [This sentence is not to be taken verbatim.] This is only if: You have a slightly "old" account, ie, not from last year or so; ie, before the "Do you wish to receive special offers from us" type tick boxes.
To change this, log into your yahoo mail (and possibly yahoo groups aswell, i haven't checked yet), and go to Options, then to Account Information, then to Edit your marketing preferences. That last one is the crucial one, where all the boxes for "Do you want this.." are all marked as "Yes."
So, if you hate spam, go fix it and tell other anti-spam people. If you don't mind these kinds of information selling, breach of privacy things...just keep on goin.
