I was in Borders today...
I sat down, had a cappucino and read the first chapter of Blackwood Farm.
Admittedly, I wasn't paying close attention to detail or anything and was also distracted twice, firstly by Beatles music on the speaker (it was Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band, y0) and by a few sms's.
It's...okay. I cringed two or three times due to certain wordings or wacky connotations or just "omg, I can't believe she wrote something that could wind up trashy like that on paper", but aside from that...it's..okay. I can't really give the first chapter anything more than a weak "okay".
Cos that's really all that there is. It's a vague okay.
And I saw L'uomo Vogue's Orliphaunt/Cowboy Orlando issue...and it just didn't do anything for me on paper. *sigh* Dunno why either. Cos yall know I went psycho with the jpgs. *shrugs*
