Just a quick bit of Squeeing!
I went into the big shopping strips in the city today for some retail therapy after my shitty lesson yesterday.
I went into HMV, checked that I hadn't been hallucinating on previous visits, and went up to the front counter to Pre-order the 5 disc set of Lord of the Rings! *squee*
It's going to cost me $174.95, apparently. Minus the $10 I put down today :)
I then wandered into the big city store of the store chain I work for and did the majority of my retail therapy there. Wanted to buy some black pants and a blazer/jacket for work, but realised that I didn't have my name badge on me which entitles me to a discount on black and white clothing :(
Did end up getting a nice red polo shirt type thing and also a black hoodie with a zip down the front, which I will return tomorrow because said zip is dodgy.
I then wandered down to Officeworks, my stationery crack house. Cos yall know I'm a stationery whore. I love me some pens and pencils and erasers and writing paper and everything like that. I find it calming when my eyes glaze over when I walk through the door.
I was looking for a new ink pen because my twice refilled Uni-ball Elite had run out and I wanted to see what nice, new, shiny yet inky toy I could replace it with. Couldn't find anything that I was excited about for a price that I thought was reasonable. Although, I did see a nice ink pen that was erasable :) But two for $6.50? Not this time :P
Ended up just getting some nice soft 4B pencils for my violin and viola cases and some tiny little really soft erasers. Why so soft? Cos you need em both really soft and totally erasable when writing and erasing markings on music. The softer the better.
I then popped into the big sci-fi shop that is a few doors down from the Stationery Crack House. I get ogled every time I go in there simply because I'm a chick going into a cultish sci-fi place :P
I had my turn to ogle whilst going through all the imported DVDs and videos, their Buffy/Angel section, the action figure section, whipping round through the book section and then through the LotR section. I ogled muchly at all the ceramic busts of LotR:FotR characters...and then stopped dead in my tracks when I saw burgundy/red action figure boxes.
They contained TTT action figures. One of them was Legolas. And he was all suited up for more Dagger Slashing Action cos I'm pretty sure he was holding his two daggers rather than his bow. I was too awestruck to actually step around the counter and start fondl..I mean, looking at the box. *cough cough*
So that was the retail squee part of my day. I'm actually home from uni early today because I had a migraine which is now a very bad headache :(
