Reading update...

White Oleander has be furiously turning pages and speeding through. It has me totally absorbed in every twist and turn in the life of Astrid.

The writing is just wonderful. It's descriptive in such a poetic way, but doesn't get all caught up in bullshit like a certain author [Anne Rice I'm looking at You] does. There is a bit of art appreciation going on in the book, but again, by comparison to Rice, it's thoughtful and planned so that it doesn't outweight the reason why it is there.

It is an absolute delight to read just because of it's ease of style. I'm totally absorbed in it, I feel for the characters...well, those you are made to feel for anyway.

So all go get a copy, ya hear?
