I swear I'm going to catch up on your entries eventually; work has just been SO busy the last two weeks.

I hope you're all well.

Stay safe in the coming weeks. I can't believe I'm actually worrying about potential violence after the election. What a (horrible) time to be alive.

I'll be making a Christmas/Holiday card post soon. I think we could all use a little extra holiday cheer this year.

If any of y'all are having to/deciding to be out & about and in desperate need of hand sanitizer, let me know.

I have generally been remarkably good at finding some. Varying qualities and quanties, but i can probably spare some.
Some is overly aloed though. Kills the germs but a tad sticky.

I actually found spray Lysol today, but I've promised the extras I got to folks already.

Stay safe.

(And if you have a Piggly Wiggly, Food Depot, or other random little country grocery store: that's where I've found most of the goods. Occasionally, at Dollar General).

No issue finding tp or hand soap if y'all need those.

Wow, I haven't updated this since the start of the year, and what a wild year it's been.

I've finally caught up on your entries. I'll try update this week, but it'll probably be next week. I'm decorating for fall/halloween this week and doing some hurricane weather prep to be on the safe side.

I got even further behind on your entries because we had a death last week. It was my "adopted grandpa." I never took time off work for my actual grandparents' deaths, but I took off that Tuesday and stayed with my "adopted grandma" and her family (both blood and non). I'll try to catch up this week.

Though that's going to be further hindered by: I got a new puppy. Her name is Lily and she's a GSD. I've never housetrained a puppy (just dogs), so send good vibes. lol. And you know the saying "be careful what you wish for?" Yeah, I wanted a smart buddy for Regan and this kiddo has already figured out how to remove the baby gate....

My computer keeps telling me that there's a hard disc problem so im backing stuff up in case the computer crashes.

I hope to be around some till wed, after which theres a definite holiday hiatus.

Computer guy is coming monday. Fingers crossed for me.

Lost power at about 10:40 Wednesday night. Had to bring the cat onto the porch about 10 before that because she had decided on a less safe place to ride out the storm than what I'd provided.

We survived the storm. No damage to structures, very messy yards.

No power at home, and probably won't have some till Sunday. And there are some potentially dangerous issues with power lines and poles I had to physically go to the EMC to report because their phone lines were so tied up.

Dad is using trucks and power inverters to run my fridge & their fridges.

Work has power so we are filling up on water and charging everything.

I hope everyone else who was in the storms path fared well.

Hurricane Hiatus

Michael is supposed to hit our area w/ a lot of wind and rain.

I'll be even further behind than expected, as I'll likely be without power tomorrow.

We're getting all the important stuff at work moved into interior rooms away from windows and then we're heading home.

So, the internet at the office has been in & out all day and the phone company won't be out till Thursday.

Mom's internet is via Dish so it's slow at best. Otherwise that leaves LJ mobile.
