Nun schickt man mit dem Geekom A8 bereits den Nachfolger an den Start, der auf den modernen AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS der Hawk Point-Serie setzt, ansonsten aber nahezu baugleich mit dem Vorg\u00e4ngermodell ist. Statt des AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS kommt nun das neuere Pendant aus der Hawk Point HS-Reihe, namentlich der AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS zum Einsatz.<\/p>\n<p>Dieser ist baugleich zum Vorg\u00e4nger, bietet jedoch eine h\u00f6here Taktung der Ryzen AI Engine, was in einer deutlich gesteigerten KI-Leistung resultiert. Wer keine KI-Anwendungen lokal auf dem Mini-PC nutzt, merkt von einer Leistungssteigerung also nichts.<\/p>\n<p>Ansonsten ist die CPU mit 8 Kernen, 16 Threads und Taktraten zwischen 4,0 GHz und 5,2 GHz absolut identisch. 8 MB L2-Cache und 16 MB L3-Cache werden geboten, die maximal m\u00f6gliche TDP von 54 Watt reizt Geekom nicht aus und l\u00e4sst den A8 bei 45 Watt.<\/p><div Unter Volllast erreichen sie mit 34 dB(A) minimal niedrigere Ger\u00e4usche als der Vorg\u00e4nger.<\/p>\n<p>Allerdings zeigt sich im direkten Vergleich, dass der Geekom A8 die Leistung nicht so gut aufrecht erhalten kann, wie dies noch beim Vorg\u00e4nger der Fall war. Die Produktivit\u00e4ts- und Systemleistung messe ich mit PCMark 10 und Cinebench R23.<\/p>\n<p>PCMark 10 simuliert bei Durchf\u00fchrung des Benchmarks unterschiedliche Workflows, die Textverarbeitung, Surfen im Internet und Tabellenkalkulationen mit einbeziehen. Cinebench hingegen misst die Geschwindigkeit der CPU-Kerne einzeln, sowie im Multi-Core-Betrieb. Das gilt vor allem f\u00fcr die Multi-Core-Tests, w\u00e4hrend bei der Single-Core-Leistung beide Ryzen 9-Generationen etwa gleichauf sind.<\/p>\n<p>In Cinebench 2024 erreicht die neue Generation 932 Punkte im Multi-Core-Test, w\u00e4hrend der Vorg\u00e4nger auf 872 Pkt. kam. Das liegt vor allem daran, dass der Vorg\u00e4nger vor gut drei Monaten durch die Bank \u00fcberragende Ergebnisse erzielen und damit sogar unseren Platinum Award erreichen konnte.<\/p>\n<p>Hinsichtlich Design, Verarbeitung und Konnektivit\u00e4t liegt die Neuauflage auf Augenh\u00f6he, w\u00e4hrend die L\u00fcfter sogar ein kleines Bisschen leiser arbeiten.
