Einerseits ist die Schachtel knallorange, andererseits jedoch so minimalistisch gehalten, dass nur das gl\u00e4nzende Herstellerlogo auf der Vorderseite zu sehen ist. Die R\u00fcckseite ist fast ebenso spartanisch gehalten. Au\u00dferdem ist alles durch eine Plastikfolie gesch\u00fctzt, was auch vor Schmutz sch\u00fctzt. So pr\u00e4sentiert sich auch das Fossibot DT1. Zwar ist dieses Tablet merklich dicker als die meisten anderen modernen Tablets, doch das Geh\u00e4use ist hierf\u00fcr bereits extrem robust. Damit spart man sich H\u00fcllen, die \u00fcblicherweise neben Mehrkosten ebenfalls die Dicke erh\u00f6hen. Auf der R\u00fcckseite des Fossibot DT1 finden sich auch griffig strukturierte Gummifl\u00e4chen, die bei N\u00e4sse oder mit Handschuhen f\u00fcr einen besonders guten Halt sorgen. Auch das Spiel zeigt sich als eher z\u00e4h &#8211; es l\u00e4uft zwar, aber die grafischen Finessen sind auf das Minimum reduziert. Aber hey: Realistisch gesehen kauft man auch kein Outdoor-Tablet f\u00fcrs Gaming oder Produktivaufgaben. Dagegen ist die Alltagsleistung in Ordnung und grafisch weniger aufwendige Arcade-Games laufen g\u00e4nzlich problemlos. Web-Browsing, Bilderbetrachtung und -bearbeitung sowie Textverarbeitung laufen fl\u00fcssig und sind doch deutlich eher das, was im Outdoor-Bereich relevant ist. Im PCMark Battery Test wurden ziemlich genau 15 Stunden erreicht bei mittlerer Displayhelligkeit &#8211; sehr solide! Entsprechend vermisst man einfach den Bass und das klangliche Ergebnis ist vergleichbar mit Smartphones. Mehr Megapixel bedeuten n\u00e4mlich nicht, dass eine Kamera bessere Bilder macht. Der Vorteil, den eine hohe Aufl\u00f6sung bietet, sieht man dann, wenn die Bilder nachtr\u00e4glich zuschneidet, denn hier bleibt auch nach kr\u00e4ftigen Zuschnitten noch ein Bild in einer ausreichenden Gr\u00f6\u00dfe \u00fcbrig. Und da die Kamera keinen optischen Zoom besitzt, ist der Zoom-Vorgang im Kamerabetrieb weitestgehend dasselbe wie ein Zuschnitt &#8211; nur dass das Endergebnis vergr\u00f6\u00dfert wird. Sobald es dunkler wird, geht der Vorteil der hohen Aufl\u00f6sung schnell verloren &#8211; da verwischen die Details schnell mal, sodass der praktische Vorteil von 48 Megapixeln gegen\u00fcber 12 weitaus kleiner wird, als die Zahl es vermuten l\u00e4sst.
