Das Tastaturgeh\u00e4use ist kompakt gehalten und in schlichtem Schwarz larkiert, genauso wie die Tasten. Jede der Tasten ist jedoch mit einer RGB-LED ausgestattet, die es erlaubt, die Tastatur farblich v\u00f6llig an die eigenen W\u00fcnsche anzupassen. Im Zweifelsfalle verschmilzt die Tastatur zu einem bunten Lichtermeer, was mit Sicherheit sehr interessant ist. Dar\u00fcber hinaus zeichnet sie sich durch die stark hervorstehenden Tasten sowie durch die gro\u00dfe Handballenablage, die sich aufgrund ihrer magnetischen Befestigung ohne Werkzeug und ohne gr\u00f6\u00dfere Anstrengungen abnehmen und befestigen l\u00e4sst, aus. Insgesamt bewegt SteelSeries sich bei der Apex 7 designtechnisch in gut ausgebauten Pfaden. SteelSeries setzt bei der Apex 7 auf einen Metallrahmen mit 5000er-Aluminiumlegierung und macht sie so zu einem \u00e4u\u00dferst robusten und mutma\u00dflich langlebigen Produkt. Auch die bereits erw\u00e4hnte Handballenablage ist sehr robust und widerstandsf\u00e4hig gestaltet. In der Presse wurde anl\u00e4sslich der Ver\u00f6ffentlichung gemutma\u00dft, dass es sich um Schalter aus dem Hause Gateron handele. Es handelt sich jedoch um hauseigene QX2-Schalter. In jedem Falle wird die Apex 7 in drei verschiedenen Varianten, die sich jeweils durch ihre Schaltertypen unterscheiden, angeboten. Neben linearen roten stehen taktile braune sowie taktil-klickende blaue Schalter zur Wahl. Es handelt sich dabei um mechanische Schalter, deren Lebenserwartung von SteelSeries mit 50 Millionen Klicks angegeben wird. Im rechten oberen Bereich finden sich zwei Multimediatasten. Das Lautst\u00e4rkerad l\u00e4sst sich auch dr\u00fccken, um den Sound direkt stummzuschalten. Die andere Multimediataste &#8211; es gibt nur eine weitere &#8211; l\u00e4sst sich mit mehreren Funktionen belegen. Ein Klick pausiert beispielsweise die Musikwiedergabe, zwei Klicks lassen die Wiedergabe zum n\u00e4chsten Titel springen. Ebenfalls in der rechten oberen Ecke der Tastatur befindet sich ein kleines OLED-Display, in dem Informationen zu aktivierten Profilen, ge\u00e4nderten Einstellungen oder laufenden Updates angezeigt werden k\u00f6nnen. Zudem lassen sich spiel- bzw. anwendungsbezogene Faktoren auf dem Display anzeigen \u2013 so etwa Informationen aus CS:GO oder Spotify. So l\u00e4sst sich etwa eine Funkmaus per USB-Stick mit der Tastatur verbinden. Gleiches gilt auch f\u00fcr kabelgebundene M\u00e4use und andere kabelgebundene Ger\u00e4te, die normalerweise direkt mit dem PC verbunden werden w\u00fcrden. Dieses verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber drei Kan\u00e4le, durch die das Tastaturkabel gef\u00fchrt werden kann. So l\u00e4sst es sich problemlos und auf dem schnellsten Wege zum Computer bringen, ohne auf dem Schreibtisch f\u00fcr Chaos zu sorgen.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"software\"><\/span>Software<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Einstellungen lassen sich mit Hilfe der auf der Herstellerwebseite kostenlos erh\u00e4ltlichen Engine-Software vornehmen. In dieser sehr \u00fcbersichtlich gestalteten Software, die wir bereits mehrfach getestet haben, ist es beispielsweise m\u00f6glich, die Beleuchtung der Apex 7 an die eigenen W\u00fcnsche
