The new DJI Mini 4K appears to be a light update to the entry-level DJI Mini 2 SE drone introduced last year<\/a>. It uses 4K resolution for videos at up to 100 Mbit\/s and weighs just 249 grams, which puts it in the A1 category.<\/p>\n

The DJI Mini 4K, which is now listed on Amazon and sells for 299.00 euros<\/a>, takes off without much fanfare. However, there is no mention of the new model on the manufacturer’s website. This is probably due to the fact that it is essentially the DJI Mini 2 SE, which is equipped with slight improvements.<\/p>\n

This mainly includes the video resolution, which is now available in 4K with 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and records at a maximum of 30 fps. Last year, the Mini SE2 only achieved 2.7K with 2,720 x 1,530 pixels. The bit rate for videos has also been increased to up to 100 MBit\/s (instead of 40 MBit\/s).<\/p>\n

Otherwise, not much has changed in terms of features. The camera is stabilized on three axes with a gimbal and EIS, while the 1\/2.3-inch CMOS sensor also takes photos at 12 megapixels. The video transmission has a range of 10 kilometers, whereby the Mini 4K can also take off from a height of 4,000 meters and master wind speeds of 38 km\/h.<\/p>
