This update comes with me catching a really, really goofy error.

An edit of the 'i throw in sugar' meme, from the cooking show 'Chopped.' It shows someone handling a dish of sugar, or maybe salt. The text is edited to read 'I throw in the title of act 1.' They go to pour the sugar into a pot, but the pot goes up in flames, and they recoil. one imagines their disbelief off-screen when they realize it's actually salt. The text is edited to say, 'Oh, my god. That's the title of act 2. I'm an idiot.'

You may notice we’re in “Act 1: The Last Year” now. “The Storm” was actually supposed to be the title of Act 2…. Uhhh. Oops!

How did this happen? Well, “The Storm” was originally a single act, but I split it into two when it got too big. In my notes, everything related to Act 1 was correctly re-labeled “The Last Year.” I even made a reminder to myself to change the chapter name in my files… but as you can see, that didn’t happen. You get so used to seeing something, you can see it a million times and you just don’t use your brain to think about it, I guess. This is how I operate in general. Get so lost in the minutiae of the story that I forget about something as mentally inconsequential but functionally consequential as… the act’s name! I guess!!!!!

Anyway, that’s fixed now. Sorry for the confusion. God I wish we were in Act 2
