A Big Change Ahead

As some of you know, but others may or may not, on September 22nd, I took an oath that will change my life forever. I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and took the first steps to fulfilling a dream I have had for as long as I can remember. Now I know there are people out there who will be opposed to this, and there are others who are worried for my saftey, but I'll tell everyone now that what I really need is the support from everybody I can get it from. This is going to be a very dificult journey, but it's something I feel that I need to do, just to prove to myself that I can do something without taking the easy way out.

Oh my god, a Livejournal update. Weird, I know. Anyway, I got a new job. Yay me. It's at Lowe's, doing the cash register. Which I hate. But at least it's a job. So now I can procede to get transfered onto the sales floor like I've done at my past three jobs.

It's unfortunate that I had to quit Circuit City, but, well, they were all a bunch of dicks anyway. I loved the store back home, but this store up in South Carolina was just full of redneck assholes. No offense to the many non-redneck South Carolinians who might read this page. Not that I think there's many people who'd still read this page. Ah well. Peace out.

Robbed

I don't know who bothers to read my livejournal any more. I don't care. I've been fucking robbed by the admin at M3. What? You heard me. Fucking. Robbed. For the past six years, M3 has held the Battle and Chase games. I should know. I participated in the first one. And every one since then. And every year, there's the car race. And every year, I fail to qualify to make it into the finals. Well this year. This year was different. I had everything planned out. I was going to build a fast car with a lot of endurance, and just drive. Not shoot anybody. Not crash anybody, just drive. And lo and behold, it worked. There it is. I'm first place. For the first time in my life I'm happy after the car race. And then, Io, being the complete and total fucktard that he is, disqualifies me for going idle and not posing. I wasn't idle. And I was posing. The problem? I was posing inside of my own vehicle. And my poses were, according to the others, 'too short. Ten word poses don't count.' What the fuck? Have none of these people /ever/ been in a Battle and Chase car race before?

I swear to god, I came within literally seconds of quitting M3 then and there. The term blinding rage? Yeah, that applies here. It took every ounce of self control to not start screaming at Io. So now I'm being told to talk to Leo about it. I can tell that's going to go far. I'll probably have a second post after this.

You ever get the feeling that your bosses don't give two shits about you? Because I sure do. I've been working at Target since January, now, and all I seem to be good for is as a damn gofer. Someone needs to take lunch at the service desk? Me. The cart attendant doesn't show up. Does he get fired? Of course not. I get to go do his job. And when I try telling them that I'm going into overtime, to help /them/, as well as myself, because we'll all get in trouble if I go overtime. But they don't listen to me. They NEVER listen to me. People, in general, don't listen to me. When I always end up being right in the end. I wish they'd just put me in charge already, so I could show them how it's done.

Okay, so I never update my Livejournal. I know this. And the reason is...Well, I never have anything to talk about. My life is really boring. But now I actually have something to talk about. Work. Or rather, my lack of it. I don't have a job, and my parents have given me two weeks to get a job or they'll make me get one. I don't see why it is that anyone can force you to work somewhere that you don't want to...So any job they make me get, I'll quit. It's that simple. Until I get hired at Gamestop or Toys R Us, I'll just quit any jobs they make me get, unless I find out a really like them. Doubt it.

Battle and Chase games at M3. This is the third year they've had them...And it's the first year that I've won a medal. Now, don't get me wrong, my faction won a medal in the first ever BnC when they had the search for markers around the globe. But that was a team thing. This, finally, was my own medal, that I earned by myself. Bronze or not, I'm happy to just have something to say I earned. As for tonight...It's the car race. The oldest event in BnC, really. The one that was made most famous by the Mike and Zero tie for gold in the very first one. Now this year, again, the cars are allowed to have weapons on them. As we speak, I'm watching The Fast and The Furious to get myself in the mood for the race. Hey, it's not the same, and Barrage's car sure as hell isn't as fast as those...But that's okay. Because this year, I intend to blow the living hell out of everything that gets in my way. And that's all I gotta say about that. Win or lose, I'm just gonna have fun. I already got my medal.

Well, since this seems to be the big topic around, lately, figure I may as well put down my own thoughts. I think that the idea is...Kinda cool. But then again, I've wanted to play psycho, Maverick Skyblade for months now, and this gives me a chance to do it. Hey. As far as the admin go...Honestly, I've never had any problems with anyone there. Now maybe Spinny and Sonic have, but me, I've tried to avoid conflict, and I'm going to keep it up when I go here, by just...Well, being myself. I hate OOC conflict, so I'm going to avoid it, when I can, and try to deal with it without hurting anyone's feelings or getting anyone upset at me if it does happen. Then again, as I write this, I'm being bugged to app Lance McLaren...Well, I may as well look into it. He does sound kind of fun. That's all for now, I'm out.

Resident Evil

How come all the characters in Resident Evil get to be in another game except Leon? At least, ones that have come out in the US. I mean, Chris and Claire were both in Code: Veronica. Jill was in RE3. Barry was in there too, even though you didn't know it was him, but I could tell. I mean, even Brad 'Chickenheart' Vickers got to be in Resident Evil 2 and 3! But Leon, does he get anything? He gets his name referenced to once in Code: Veronica. Even Rebecca Chambers is gonna be the star of Resident Evil 0. Why? She sucks! What good is she gonna be? I mean, as Chris, you have to save her ass over and over, I don't see the point. Can I help it if Leon is my favorite character? Now, I know there's supposed to be some GBA game coming out with him in it, since I saw the box at EB...But why a GBA game? Is he not good enough for a Dreamcast/PS2 game like Jill and Chris? Hell, even Wesker got an appearance in Veronica, and he's supposed to be dead. But...Well, what can you do. At least Leon didn't die like Steve Burnside did. Gotta look at the plus side, I suppose.

Medal of Honor

Yes, Medal of Honor. Probably the best World War II FPS that's ever come out. I salute the makers of this game. But why am I posting about this? Well...Because I want to prove a point. You see, currently at M3, Barrage is in trouble for rushing into combat and causing some damage to a conveince store to get at the Robot Masters. Yes, perhaps I was wrong in doing this...But, what am I supposed to do? Stand outside until they come out? As it was, Barrage was attacked first. But that's not the point of this post. To beat this one extremely hard stage on Medal of Honor: Frontline, I had been trying to hang back and snipe the Nazis. Snipe them while planning how to take out the Panzer IV I knew was around the corner. I had to have played this mission a dozen times, at least. Then finally, I got fed up. I thought 'Well, what would Barrage do in this situation? All the other memebrs of my squad are dead. That tank got 'em. So how am I going to handle this?' Then it hit me...She wouldn't think. She'd just ask. So I acted. I rushed forward into the heat of battle, shotgun blazing, grabed hold of one of the Nazi's own machinegun nests, and cut down those bastards with a hail of gunfire. Even took out the tank with no trouble. Impulsive? Yes. Reckless? Oh hell yes. But effective? You bet your ass. I got Gemini Man to retreat. That's what matters in the end, right? I mean, a little bit of damage done. I'm sure the entire store wasn't worth 100,000 Zenny anyway. Okay, am I a little upset about this? Yes, I am. But I'm less upset than I was the other day when I argued with Bastion over the radio, because I stepped out of character when I did that, and didn't even realize I was doing it. So...Yeah. Well, stuff happens that you have no control over, and this is one of those things. Now I just gotta wait for Anthem..

I took the Inner Dragon online quiz and found out I am a Black Dragon on the inside. If there ever was an aparition of Evil, my Inner Dragon is it. I really don't like the news. You know why? I mean, there's rarely ever anything good on the news. Like right now. It's talking about R. Kelly screwing some 14 year old girl. Yeah, like I care. Why can't the news ever tell about anything interesting? Oh well, whatever. I'll turn it off. Turn Winamp back on. Let's see...Watched Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone for about the sixth time since I got the DVD. Big supprise there, ya know? I really love that movie, and I'm quite enjoying owning it, even if it's taking me weeks to get my parents to watch it. However, I can be very persistant when I want to be. Anyway...Let's see. Still no character ideas for FFMUSH. Rhan, I know you wanna help me out, dude, but you should think of your own character first. I'm sure I'll come up with an OC. Or just ripoff Tidus. Or some other character from another game or movie...We'll see what happens when I get around to thinking about it a lot harder.

Hmm. Let's see. What else can I talk about today...Oh, Dirge came back to M3. Everybody cheer. :) I still can't get Pluto to draw Barrage, either...Oh well, guess I'll keep prodding.

Well, gee, another useless morning. Nothing to talk about, really. Still no ideas for an OC at FFMUSH. If anyone has any ideas, I don't suppose you'd tell me? Serious ideas only, please. And...Well, the other thing I want is to learn how to draw. No matter how much I struggle, I never seem to be able to do it right. I mean, I look at all these artists on MUSHes who draw EVERYBODY'S CHARACTER BUT MINE! >.< And it makes me mad, but...I know they have their reasons, which is why I want to learn how to draw myself, so I don't have to depend on anybody else to get a picture of my characters, because I could do it myself. But by the time I learn how to do it, I'll probably have dropped the character anyway, so it's a moot point, don't ya think? Whatever. I'm glad I have this thing, now. I've had dozens of rants about everything saved up inside of me forever, and yet, I've never been able to post them on MUSHes before, because usually they were pretty selfish rants, but here, I can post whatever I want. And...Well, guess that's all I really have to talk about today. Later.

So here I sit, 2:00 am. M3's down, and I'm RPing at FFMUSH. Ah, FFMUSH. I play Tidus, everyone's favorite Blitzball ace from Final Fantasy 10. But at the same time, I'm trying to think up a new OC for the place. But...Ideas are comin' up short. I'm thinking of apping for a SeeD, but I'm really not sure what I could do to be original, since that's my main problem. Ripping off other people's ideas is easy enough, but you get tired of it after a while. Ya know? To quote a famous SeeD: ... Whatever.

Okay...So, this is like, my first ever post in LiveJournal. So anyway, here we are...I don't really have anything to post about, cause...Well, I'm not doing anything. Playing Medal of Honor: Frontline on my PS2...That's really about it. Oh well. Only 6 more days until WWE Wrestlemania X8 comes out. And I hate that WWE crap. Stupid hippies at the World Wildlife Fund. I mean, yeah, animals are okay and everything, but why did they have to go and screw with the WWF? WWE sounds really stupid, if you ask me. Next thing you know, the National Wildlife Orginization is gonna make the nWo change their names too. I swear..
