Poem: Nude
an intimate encounter
feet pressed against
grass: green, fresh, and crunchy
our reflection,
in the river water,
witness
naked bodies,
homo genus,
peel the first layer of skin,
muscle touch muscle,
cellophane wrap around each other
cum together with no seams;
heat, friction, ancient collision:
hunger recognising hunger

you are:
ใป a plant, taken home, potted ๐ชด
ใป a flower, cut at the stem, placed in a vase ๐ธ
ใป a butterfly, pinned down and framed ๐ฆ
ใป a bee, with which I must populate the hive ๐
ใป a steak dinner, Iโm a lion chowing down on ๐ฅฉ
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ ๐
dripping, rushing, blood pumping;
tendons wrapped around each other;
intimacy โ embrace โ thrust and place
take me apart, finger my heart;
turn my body inside out
and find a diamond at the start
shape me, mould me, like Iโm clay,
like Iโm terracotta, play
with your hands along my back all day
push your thumbs into my spine,
leave an imprint of your flesh in mine
fire me hot in your kiln
show me off where light can see
what youโve made of what was me
youโve named me, claimed me,
rearranged me,
Iโve become easier to hold
wholeness was just distance pretending to be holy;
the river quivers in disgust,
together, we merge into each other,
become a monstrosity only god could watch
