Today is a special day! Our mod's birthday! YAY!

I promised a Beanie Movie but alas - my daily schedule and inherent lazyness are working against me lol

But Holmes discovered a new Beanie prop recently. Let's see what he is UP to :)

'Look what we have here...'
'Oh no, Holmes! Not Big Ben!'

But Holmes is already on his way.

Good old Watson can just hope and stare...

Holmes does not feel the cold and the wind in his hair...

'What a man.' Watson is fascinated.

Holmes climbs down again and is both excited and relieved.

'What a view, Watson. What a view.'
'Yes, old cock. Don't you think your are too old for that kind of things?'
'No, Watson. A man is never too old to overcome fear and proof his worth to the world.'
To that Watson can just smile.

Later at Baker Street they enjoy a good meal and Brandy.

Sad farewell

After losing Ellie recently. I've just said farewell to my rescue cat Mirren, who was also 14. She was very sick yesterday and was having problems breathing. My nephew Martin took her to the vet this morning, and phoned to say the news was not good. There was no point in prolonging her misery so we decided to let her go. I'm sure there's a corner of the Rainbow Bridge for cats, so she's back with Ellie. The house seems very empty now, and will be for a while. Martin and his family are moving in next week to look after me, but I will miss Mirren.

Under the cut for a little birthday greeting for Enkiduts- hope it has been a good day.

It is the late evening of February 16 and Mrs Hudson has been busy all day clearing up the boys rooms, because they have been on a case and made even more mess than usual!

At last she has time to read the 'Don't forget' note she had pinned to her kitchen calendar

Oops ! She realises it says Enkiduts birthday is the 17th!

'Come on everyone! we need to get a move on'she says.Soon everyone is busy.

The German boys with Gladstone and their dragon friends practise their 'Suprise !!' routine

While the Brit boys goes to the shops !

Meanwhile Mrs H bakes non stop :

and soon all is ready - they just need Enkiduts to ring the bell at 221B.

Found some adorable wicker chairs for the boys and Mrs H. I think they are meant to put plants on them, but hey! Size is perfect for the boys and girls :)

Just to say you have done a grand job = I really think I should send the boys to you to take a lesson ..

You can imagine what they get up to I suspect - like just now for instance when Mr Holmes ate all his chocolate eggs - for an experiment he said- and now he is feeling poorly:

but the doctor wisely tells him that a little sleep will do him good, so he closes his eyes, and while he is asleep, I can get on with some tidying up.

But in honour of your achievement, here are some flowers for you - hope your girls know that cats don't eat roses!

Found some new props recently I had to involve them in a tiny picture movie :) Enjoy!

Beanie Day Out

Hi there!

Awfully hot today so the Boyz decide to go out and have a nice walk to the pond where they found the tadpoles swimming around two weeks ago. In tow Fluffy, Gwen and little Glyn. No excuses this time :) Beanie Holmes is still wearing his angel's wings :)

Sunny day, nice fluffy clouds. It's going to be a great day.

The lake lays quiet and still... Where are the tadpoles?

Fluffy is curious as is Gwen and Glyn. 'Look there!' Holmes shouts.

'Awww!' says Watson. 'It's as tiny as your nose, Holmes.' 'Don't blame me, Watson. It would naturally fit into your ear.'

They stay a while listening to the humming sound of insects all around. Somewhere a mother frog is calling her kids. Big dragonflies surround them like small helicopters^^.

'Watson. Look. Over there!'
'Awww. Isn't he shiny.'
'Yes. It's a purple emperor.'
'Look at it.'
'I do.'
'...and keep your hands off my ears...'
'...oh Watson...'

Isn't he a great gem of nature?

On their way home they discover...

'Strawberries!'
'Holmes, don't. You know what happened last time...'
'They taste like sugar. Watson. Hop in. You look hungry, old boy.'

Together they plunder the strawberry field. Fluffy, Gwen and Glyn got their share too. Although they don't need much being so tiny.

Hopefully your day was as awesome as the Beanies!

Beanies in a Barrel!

Hi there!

New prop for the Beanie Boyz. This is a barell used for coffee. It's sold over here in beans so you can grind it yourself :) It's a tasty blend I must say and recently I tried to buy a coffee grinder on ebay. Someone overbid me. Damnit! :) Maybe next time. Anyway: Holmes and Watson did a proper inspection and are now proud owners of two barrels :)
Btw: Can someone explain to me when to use cask, drum, barrel, tun, etc?

The birthday tribute Adventure

Today is Enkiduts' birthday and Brit Holmes is prepared. He has a gift of a giant cherry brandy truffle.

and he is thoughtfully waiting

He is waiting for Watson to come and help him present it and plays at balancing it on his head !
Watson will be amused but will say 'Silly Holmes' in a very loving voice .Holmes likes that @:)

But whats this ? Watson is tucked up in a sheet and hiding. Oh dear has he forgotten ENkiduts special day ? ? No! but he is shy.Watson, shy ? What is going on?

"Come on my dear fellow! say hello to the lovely birthday lady" urges Holmes

"Hello dearest Enkiduts," says Watson, still hiding a bit but peeping out.

"You haven't !O my dear doctor ! " says Holmes lovingly " lost your moustache? poor Watson but Enkiduts will not mind and I love you all the same.Come on out now !"
and so a clean shaven and still very handsome Watson greets Holmes and Enkiduts

Happy Day ! say both Boys presenting their giant truffle

No moustaches were harmed in the making of this Adventure
though some reconstruction will be necessary
HOlmes monograph on Kisses with and without Tickles is in the press soon
AND Enkiduts is wished a grand day from all the Beanies and Nodbear

Happy Birthday Holmes ! The hat Adventure part 2

As today is the 6th we all wish Holmes a very happy birthday and raise a glass to him.

You will remember that the Brit Beanies are on holiday and have been resting in their big bed
But there was a mysterious hat hanging on the bedpost which neither of them had noticed.

well Watson has been getting up early to get all prepared for Holmes special day - under the cut for more birthday fun

Hat Adventure part 2

The good doctor has been up early to make tea and bring in some of Holmes' presents:

A red box contains a lovely new nightshirt from Mrs Hudson.

A very large parcel contains a remarkable book which Holmes just about manages to hold on his lap= he is very stunned at the title!

But he finds it absolutely fascinating:

and is soon engrossed:

"have you seen this? he calls out to Watson but the doctor has just come to let Holmes see the new improvised hammock swing he has made on the bed head using the mysterious hat. Holmes is delight and climbs in straight way :

" Come and join me!" he says to Watson with a beautiful smile and his own special big- eyed gaze :

Watson shakes his head and smiles "I think we need a more secure surface for your next present Holmes" he says.
Holmes agrees at once, he is a detective, after all, and knows just what Watson has in mind.

"Happy Birthday my dear fellow", murmurs Watson -"and very many returns" :)
