Well... I'm in America... and everything is just weird.

1st, the toilets suck arse. You wouldn't want to be standing too close when the automatic ones go off, cause there's splashback!!! They're also so shallow that you gotta keep you hands real close or you're gonna dip in the bowl. It's so disgusting!

2ndly, the food is weird. Nothing tastes like I'm used to, though I can say I have now tried a New York Pizza (not the really big ones though - the oldies wouldn't allow it), a bagel, and buffalo wings. Even Subway over here tastes weird. Wendy's is a burger joint attached to a lot of the servo's and petrol is so cheap - it's only about 90 c / ltr.

3rdly, everyone in the big cities are so impatient and rude. Oh and I dunno whether it was just the part of town we were in, but sometimes I swear we were the only white fellas. It was weird. Esp in LA. Everyone was staring at us on the busses cause we were the only white people around for miles!

Dad's getting used to driving on the wrong side of the road, and we're both getting used to following Tom (our GPS). Tom sometimes has a go at us for making wrong turns (told us to "chuck a 'uey'") but we eventually get to where we wanna go.

We started off in LA before we flew to NY to pick up Candy, and then we drove the motorhome to Binghamton in NY state and stayed there the night at a servo cause we couldn't get into the RV park. We then drove to Niagra and saw the falls and stayed there the night. After that we were running behind schedule (cause google maps told us the wrong distances and times and we've had to adjust everything we're doing), but we made it to Washington DC. I've taken like a gazzillion photos so far, and we still have like 3 weeks to go! Tonight we're staying in Kingsport in Tennessee, and then we're heading to Nashville and Memphis in the next 2 days.

This country can only get better right?????

Hi guys,

Just wondering what everyone thought of the final ending of BSG?

I liked that they found Earth and that those that lived, lived, and those that died.. well they had to die (cept maybe Kara). Oooh and I loved the Centurious helping in the fight! That was so frakken cool.

But I still don't know if I like the idea of Gaius and Caprica being angels.

Thoughts?

Thank you everyone to came along and wished me happy birthday (even though it's not until Monday).

I'm not really looking forward to turning 30. I've always thought of 30 as when you start to get old. I certainly don't act all of my 30 years of age though, so hopefully that will keep me young at heart.

Short version - my sister and I are moving out because of the white ants in our place and we're getting out before our lease is up in January because we both found somewhere else to go.

I mean sure Candy moved out to America, but she was moving out before she decided to take that job. And sure I've already signed a new lease (housewarming will be coming at some stage), but I've only moved on that so quickly because I'm worried this place is going to fall down on top of me.

Our real estate agent was going to try to hit us up for rent until the end of the lease or until a new tenant moved in, however there was no chance of them finding a new tenant when all the walls are falling apart in one of the bedrooms so we've been fighting the break lease repercussions.

We've issued them with a notice to remedy the breech and a notice of our intention to leave etc. - doing it all legit. AND we've finally had some good news. The owners are going to take this place as of the 4 Dec as a vacant possession so they can do some renovations around the place, AND also as a result of the renos - we don't have to get the carpets cleaned!! That is such a weight of my mind [and my hip pocket as I have to pay two lots of rent for the next two weeks :( ].

NOW I just need to get all my shit outta here by the end of this weekend.

Anyone that wants to do some cheap assed body building and wants to help move all my heavy furniture, feel free to come round on Saturday :D

Seeing as LG have stuffed my over (I've been waiting over 2 months for the tv I ordered), Clive Anthony's at Kedron have offered me an awesome deal.

I was going to be getting this tv for the bargin basement price of $1877.

I'm now going to be getting this tv instead for the same price.

Clive Anthony's were very apologetic for LG stuffing me around. So now I'm getting the new and improved tv and the same theatre system delivered next Saturday. WOOHOO!!!!

I like shiny things :D

So... I had a little accident... nothing too serious.

Ok, so the short story is a van ran up the bum of my car, and the force of that then smacked me into the car in front.

Extra info is - hardly any damage to any of the cars though. I was stopped in the bumper to bumper traffic along Brunswick Street just after 2pm today. Guy in van said "my phone rang and it scared me and that's when I hit you". I think it's a bullshit story, but what can I do? Guy in front of me is ok and was rather understanding about the whole ordeal. It was during work so... yay work cover!

I've been to the docs today, I'm very sore all over with a bit of whiplash and I've managed to jar or pull my right elbow or something. I have to go to the physio tomorrow and take the day off work because I'll probably feel even sorer tomorrow.

No big deal. Just thought I'd report in for a change...
