Arizona Commission on the Arts hires Gabriela Muñoz as Director of Grants

The Arizona Commission on the Arts has hired Gabriela Muñoz as Director of Grants. Muñoz will leave her current position with the Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona later this month in advance of taking on her new role on April 6, 2026.

The Arizona Commission on the Arts is now accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2027 grants for arts organizations, arts festivals, and arts engagement programs!


Empowering Rural: A Capacity Building Training Series

Designed specifically for rural Arizona arts and culture organizations, this webinar series will provide free technical trainings and practical tools in some of the foundational pillars of capacity building.

Apply Now: Creative Youth Grants

Designed by and for young artists, CYGs support Arizonans, ages 12-17, as they develop new skills or advance their artistic practice outside the traditional school day. This may include paying for lessons, attending a workshop, or paying for supplies and equipment.

Arizona Commission on the Arts, Arizona’s State Arts Agency

An agency of the State of Arizona, the Arizona Commission on the Arts provides grants, programs, services and leadership in support of the arts and arts learning programs. In partnership with arts organizations, schools, festivals and individual artists, we endeavor to celebrate Arizona’s diverse communities and rich cultural traditions, inspire creativity, grow local economies and enhance quality of life for all Arizonans.
