[Seems like any other regular day for her, at least. And while this has came on accidentally due to inhuman running towards a clearing, a very tall white haired woman is seen standing in front of it. Bloodied bandages that were currently in the process to be changed, one hand is holding strips of fabric and she stands before what could easily be interpreted as an altar. A nementon.

She's already fairly pale, even for her standards. Out of nowhere, in plain English - not even Gaelic or her native tongue - she utters-]

Your life.

[It's said flatly, she twitches as if she was about to bolt forward. Instead, she's biting her bottom lip to draw blood, drawing her tongue over it. For a split second, the white in her eye turns black, black veins course out of her skin. She gasps, holding her mouth. A few steps backwards and the woman plops to the ground. Holding her mouth tightly, she lets out a soft muffled cry.]

I'd never-

I would never.

[Right on cue, unfortunately, at the thought of blood, Regina's body begins to shake.]

No. No! Not right now!
VIDEO/ACTION/WHATEVER YOU WANT - 001;

[How are we all doing tonight? Pretty good? Yes?

If one is near by, you may feel something faintly off. Perhaps demonic in it's own right. It's dark, thankfully, so whomever this presence belongs to is able to slip by no problem. A very tall person adorned in long white robes, scraping the ground as they walk. In one hand, clutching a long spear -- curious, however, the handle appears to be made out of iron? Tall, in long white robes that echo an age forgotten, the Druids. They have a very erratic sense of walking, it seems, hunched low to the ground, occasionally peaking up to see if someone is coming.

If one didn't know any better, this person is certainly on edge. Their face is not easily seen, except once this person glances into sight, a faint red glow can be seen underneath their hood.]

[They keep going, of course, muttering can be heard now.

A woman? Her disposition echoes that of one in fairy tales, a witch. Bandaged and bloody hands, elongated fingernails that look like claws and black skin. What she mutters certainly can't be understood by anyone. That is, of course, if you know Gaelic...]

Wretched creatures -- you send me with the Fianna and this is what I get in return? What was your true bidding?

[She's speaking as if someone else is there, and clearly, they're not. It just makes her appearance that more unnerving...]

[ooc; HEADS UP, Y'ALL. Regina here is speaking Gaelic (Irish) until she finally works out the ability to speak English thanks to the City. Apologies for any confusion!]

RANDOM THINGS.

Idea ganked from here.

What is the deal with Regina's hatred of the Irish?
It was not uncommon for the Irish to constantly raid Wales, Britain and even Scotland. A king by the name of Niall of the Nine Hostages did this frequently and earned an reputation from it. Because of this, Regina dislikes the Irish, aside from her personal dealings with some Irish people. This hatred also borders on irrational, because, well, Regina is judgmental to the fault when it comes to a few impressions. She is also Welsh royalty and had to hide it because she did cross paths with Niall of the Nine Hostages at one point, as well as his relatives.

How come she goes by the name "Regina" if she doesn't get along with her mother?
As stated above, she had to hide her origins and her blood line. But more importantly, while she doesn't get along with her mother, she sympathizes with her mother. Her mother was scorned and was a victim of "victim blaming" in regards to her rape, so Regina took the name momentarily to not only shield herself, but as acknowledgement for her mother's rape. Even if it's a name derived from a saint, Regina doesn't seem to care. And no, on that note, she doesn't care if you call her by her birth name; secretly, she prefers it.

OH MAH GAWD WHAT'S UP WITH THE BANDAGES?
Regina's arms are black, blistered, and bandaged because of her "thorn curse"; the ability to manifest barbs from her arms and use them as weapons. Just because she's a half-demon, doesn't mean it draws blood and it constantly hurts to do it. This is an unstable power, aside from the pain it brings, Regina has to bandage herself constantly to keep it maintained. After a while, she stops caring.

Why is she living in Ireland if she's Welsh royalty and hates the Irish so much?
Regina lost her eye to the goddess Danu of the Tuatha de Dannan and the Wild Hunt/Hosting of the Sidhe and was also taken back to the Otherworld for punishment for freely eating humans, creating havoc, and rampaging with the other nephilims. She was taken personally because of her relation to a noble who heads this rebellion. She cannot leave Ireland, to be blunt. She is bound to the goddess Danu until her debt is repaid and her eye will be given back. It is simply not of her choice and Regina cannot argue with the Tuatha de Dannan. The command her to follow the Fianna and Regina quietly does.

Does Regina like eating people?
Absolutely not, she hates it. She lost her composure when she was a teenager and gave up hopes to control herself and thus joined the civil uprising of the nephilim. She accidentally killed a Druid that came with her from Wales to Ireland and because of that, Regina has a strong stigma to her berserker trigger and black it out, since the event was so traumatizing to her, apart from her bound to the Tuatha de Dannan. She hates being a half-demon as much as she hates humans; Regina has more self-loathing than anyone could ever know.

Why live in the forests?
She acquired this from her fear of people (she had a really bad social anxiety as a child) as well as Myrddin Wylt, who lived in the forest as a hermit along with his followers. It is a sense of familiarity and security to her, as well as something Myrddin did. Considering she wants to be like him, she does what she can to mimic what she has learned from him.

Does she hate humans as much as she says?
Not really. Her "hatred" is more of a stigma brought up by the grief she has gone through by others, especially of the Christian and Roman variety. Regina realistically has spent so much of her life away from people because of the fear of the ridicule and abuse, so she has no real true perception or knowledge of how people can be like. Basically speaking, Regina hasn't truly have had much of an exposure to people, outside of her circle. She adores Bards, Druids, and Ovates, because they were the only people who took her in and loved her and still treat her equally; Regina can't hate them, she does care for them quite a bit. She thinks she does, but she doesn't; simple conversations and acts of kindness confuse her.

Why does she eat people?
The Nephilim in the Book of Enoch were said to have unstable appetites (and were pretty much that, unstable) that eventually, these giants ate all the food and turned on humanity and each other, consuming them. Regina has this unfortunate part of her bloodline, because the concept is, that no human blood must linger with a fallen angel's blood, for it will produce unstable results and no human blood was meant to have their power. Her cannibalism is the result of what all Nephilim have, aside from their mutation and instability:

- The void that Nephilim feel, that they are never accepted amongst demons and humans, they are very lonely species and want nothing more than love and companionship. This is from the stress, mistreatment, anger, and sorrow a Nephilim will endure in their lifetime.

- Their powers and abilities, while fantastic as they are, also cost a lot of energy, since they have a fast metabolism. When you have a fast metabolism, you burn things off quicker and food doesn't stick. So...

So in summation, Regina snaps and eats people because of her energy and the pain that she feels constantly.
Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Since Regina is a Nephilim, of course she's unusually tall and a giant. She stands about six feet, possibly a few more inches; she's actually considered short for a Nephilm. The women of her race tend to be 6'3" to 6'5" and the men are 6'7" to 7'0". But for her time frame, yes, she's huge, even by today's standard. When in doubt, blame her mother, who possibly could have been short for a woman. Regina is of a very athletic build; she has some muscle on her, but is very tone and slim for the most part. She has long fingers and is pretty curvy. She does look like she can kick your ass and she can.

2. How old is she?
As of now, I've decided to make her 20.

3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?
She carries herself with confidence, rigid posture. She never slouches, unless praying.

4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Not really, no, she's pretty healthy for a half-demon, if you ignore her fast metabolism.

5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
She's a fluid, graceful woman, never clumsy, again, striding herself with confidence.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
Regina is a tall, pale, and curvy woman, so yes, she's very attractive. She is beautiful despite her strange features and having one eye. She knows that others find her attractive and has been known to use it to her advantage in the past. Truth be told, Regina hates her missing eye and that tick has lead her to belittle her features.

7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Clear complexion, extremely fair skinned, having scars all over.

8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
Long, soft white hair that is straight and goes down to her waist.

9. What color are her eyes?
Red.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
SCARS? White hair? Looks like a ghost? IDK you tell me. Although if she gets pissed off or channels her demonic side, her eyes will go red on black instead of red on white.

11. What are her chief tension centers?
I guess her scowl for starters.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?
AHAHAHA.

Regina dresses unconventionally, even for a Celtic woman. Her wardrobe can consists of rags and bandages, something she knows she can move in easily and yes, usually they're in white or really desaturated pale colors, so it lives up to her namesake of "white phantom". She'll wear bandages around her arms and across her dress, but the only real practical thing she wears are animal hide boots.

But really, she's an Ovate, so she'll be seen in white Druidic robes every so often, hiding her facial features.

13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?
... Sure? And yes, she's comfortable in them, because there's not much of them.

14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
Her white robes with her long hood, sometimes even a thin veil. During her "job", yes, she will be seen wearing this. On her free time, you will have a very scantily clad woman running about.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Commando. :)

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
She's got a very soft, yet husky voice, surprisingly low.

2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?
She usually speaks softly, evenly, without hesitation, she's pretty blunt and open. She can either be very soft when talking to someone or very short and clipped. Emotion in her voice can depend, too, ranging from completely apathetic, interested, or very irritated.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Of course she has an accent! I cannot wrap my mind on how a Welsh woman spoke during that time, unfortunately. She hovers between formal and and blunt tics, anything to get her point across. You will notice a huge difference with how she talks to people. If she likes them, she speaks softer and more casually. If she hates them, it'll be the opposite -- short and formal.

4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?
Technically speaking? Primitive Welsh and Gaelic, fluently. Welsh is her native language, of course and Gaelic is something she learned in her time in Ireland. Regina picks up pretty quickly. She'll likely pick up another Brythonic (Breton if you want to get technical) language sometime in the future, given who she marries.

In game, I kept it simple -- Welsh, Gaelic, and according to games, she speaks English fluently.

5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
Yes!

More often than not, she'll prefer to speak Welsh if anyone knows it. If she's pissed off, she'll be muttering something in Welsh on the side. Thankfully, in her troop, Lancelot is from Wales and speaks Welsh fluently, so she'll find herself talking to him in Welsh constantly, more than happy to criticize others in Welsh. Welsh is her safe zone and if you make her mad or upset, yes, she will be cursing you or making fun of you in Welsh. You will know if you upset her if she's speaking in Welsh.

She'll toss out Gaelic if anyone knows it, too. But Gaelic is likely the least one she'll speak in a game. In Ireland, Regina has to speak it fluently and people do make fun of her accent and in turn, she'll get annoyed.

In RP, she has to speak English, with a strange accent to boot. She doesn't like to, but she sees the practicality.

6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?
She can do both, really.

7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Normally, Regina is eloquent, unless, of course, she's under duress, angry, or upset. Generally emotional.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?
Regina would be considered to be very book smart for her time, given that she's probably had one of the most formal educations of her time. She can read and write both Gaelic and Welsh as well a speaking them. She can pick up on another language pretty quickly if she wanted to.

Regina could be considered street smart, to an extent. Survival in the forest? No problem, she's been at this a very young age. She can hunt, farm, kill, fight, and make weapons.

When it comes to basic social things, she has a harder time with them. She's had a limited exposure to social environments and a part of her childhood social phobia will show up -- there's a reason why she avoids people aside form misanthropy and her berserker trigger. She is exceptionally weirded out by compliments, gratitude, and generally anyone being kind to her outside of her social norms. Meaning that, if you're not a Druid or a half-demon, doing any of these aforementioned details will throw her off and make her confused.

She can't exactly treat others the same at times, she brings her pessimism and disdain out and may be a turn off at times when talking to people. She can be round about, vague, cold, and abrasive. She doesn't have tact at times or stifles her emotions.

2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?
She can do both, but she likes to consider things first.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Regina is very intuitive and idealistic, it's kind of painful. She is more about spirituality and feelings than being practical.

4. What kind of education has the character had?
She has had the formal training of a Druid for almost twenty years. Other than that, no.

5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?
Her area of expertise, shock, is her religion. She's a shaman and seer, as well as a healer. She knows her herbs, natural treatments, wards, channeling... the whole nine yards. Regina is interested in furthering her training and anything she can learn to advance her knowledge in her religion.

6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?
So, so introverted. Misanthropist? Almost all the time.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Regina is distant and pessimistic but pretty even-tempered. So very pessimistic. She likes to regulate space with people and acts as if talking to them is something of an inconvenience and to her, it is. She can be very easily annoyed by little things. She is most times overly serious and no-nonsense woman. Although more often than not, she will act very haughty with people, looking down at others, especially anyone she doesn't really seem to like. If you really want her moody, bring up politics, religion, and heritage.

If you piss her off, Regina will make sure that you know that and stop talking to you altogether. And this is a good day.

If Regina likes you, she's a bit more friendlier. If you're the same species as you, she's actually fully capable of having a complete conversation with you.

8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
Regina really, really hates change. Her first reaction to change and new things is the same as it has been since she was a kid: Run and hide. She will refuse to go out, unless there's something she needs desperately and an attempt to know her surroundings. She's never happy about it and she hates it. To be honest, she freaks out.

9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?
React, mostly.

10. Which is her default: fight or flight?
Flight. Again, Regina hates change and does not deal with it well and has learned flight. She will fight if she sees that she can, but no, not a lot.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
She's definitely got a deadpan humor, rather dark, so it's definitely Gallows humor. Other than that, it's almost non-existent. She's also not above any sort of flirty teasing or mocking manhood if someone hits on her :'(

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?
She might as well could have had Social Anxiety Disorder as a kid, because she would absolutely flip out and hide when new people approached her and was terrified of talking to people well into her early teens. This is because she was abused as a child. Schizoid Personality Disorder? She's almost there. Misanthropy? Yep.

And bonus, she is actually a compulsive hoarder, having no possessions to call her own as a child. She doesn't deal with any of this, she rather dwell in a creepy part of the forest, hoarding what she deems may be of spiritual value or just likes to hold onto things since she never had a lot. Regina has never dealt with any of her issues.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?
Regina was abandoned by her mother when she was little, probably three or five years old. She wandered around until Myrddin found her. When she met him, she met someone who was also a half-demon, something she never seen before, and as well as someone who acted as a parental figure to her. From that moment on, she followed him around like a lost puppy.

She challenged her step father, after seeing him go off on her mother, Regina stepped in, despite the abuse she endured from her mother and her mother actually expressed some form of regret to her for her upbringing. But after that, Regina was technically exiled from Wales and Myrddin sent her off to Ireland to continue to study.

Being dragged to the Otherworld by the Fairy Ride, because of her violent sprees and eating people all over Ireland's country side pissed off the sidhe. Since then, Regina has reformed like no other... somewhat. She lost her eye and was tortured for quite some time in the Otherworld. Also, she kind of... died, in a sense, so she doesn't like running around letting her demonic nature get to her anymore.

14. What does she fear?
She fears betrayal and abandonment. All the time. She is choosy with people but the people she meets and befriends? She clings to them like no other and she will immediately adore them, more than she realizes. She does this from being terrified of being left out in the cold again. She doesn't like change in people and if this happens, Regina won't hesitate to throw them under before they hurt her.

15. What are her hopes or aspirations?
Regina's greatest hope is... meeting someone who will love her and treat her as an equal. Sure, her aspirations are finding Myrddin again after her completion of teachings, but she wants to be loved and has felt this way since a young girl.

16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?
Despite her royal heritage, I think she doesn't want anyone to see how much she desires acceptance and love, aside from being a half-demon who sometimes snaps and eats people.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.
Regina has never met her birth father, but I promise you, she hates him. She has heard nothing but horror stories about him and the rest of his kind, so yes, she hates him.

She also hates her step-father for obvious reasons, like encouraging her abuse and abandonment.

Regina grew up hating her mother, but as she slowly grew, she began to understand her mother's mental break down after being raped and giving birth to her. She hasn't quite forgiven her for abandoning and abusing her, nor telling her things like she'll drown from God or she'll burn in Hell. But really? It's because of her birth father, so Regina's feelings on her mother are mixed. She has no real relationship with the woman.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Regina... has a bunch of half-sisters. Both human and half-demon. It's said that her father, the demon Azazel has tried to father a son, but has been cursed with girls who's mothers are nobility or royalty. She knows they exist, she doesn't care.

She has a younger half-sister, Gwenhwyfach that she's met once and doesn't really remember much of it. This is her younger sister by her mother and step-father.

TO BE BLUNT? Siblings? Regina doesn't really care. She'll never consider them family because they were never there.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?
None. At all. Regina doesn't like any of them :(

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?
Myrddin is her father figure and Regina loves him more than anyone on this earth. She looks up to him, wants to be like him, and has tried very hard to remember his teachings ranging from Druidism to her demonic abilities.

Maybe Nimue is some sort of weird mother figure... she's unsure. She thinks Nimue is a little smother-y.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
... This is a good question and I honestly don't think she views anyone as a best friend. Friends? Maybe.

6. Does she have other close friends?
Her circle from her coven, yes. These are her people and you don't mess wit them.

7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?
Regina doesn't make friends easily and she does have a hard time getting along with people, because she hates them. Other half-demons she will get along with and attempt to make friends with on the spot, same goes to anyone tied to her religion.

8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?
........... Friends? If they exist?

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?
Single. Will be married probably in two-three years.

10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
GET BACK TO HER IN TWO-THREE YEARS, YES, SHE WILL BE IN THAT SITUATION LOL.

11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?
Ciaran, a noble and another half-demon, he was her first crush and she was convinced she loved him as a teenager.

Blindly right now, it's Lancelot she's crushing on, and no, she doesn't know. Or she's in denial, since he's a human and all.

12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?
Equal footing and devotion, yo. She likes being treated like a person. Not a woman, half-demon, etc.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?
Not really, no. She is softer with children, since she sees them as innocent and impressionable. She does like kids but is a little awkward with them.

14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?
Not really, actually.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale?
She's very much a heterosexual :)

16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her?
Sex is nice and it is important to the whole function of life and all of that jazz. If she has to use it to get something from someone? Sure.

17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
........... Regina is scary. My god. She's got a blood fetish, anything revolving around pain and blood. Chewing. Scratching. Can I stop?

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type?
Regina is such a Capricorn. She is negative, pessimistic, workaholic, and cold.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life?
Regina is very religious. Her religion has gotten her through horrible times and has been there for her when others weren't.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
She's pretty morally ambiguous. She isn't above killing anyone, even without her demonic tendencies. She'll doe this if she views them as a threat, Regina will betray you if she thinks you're doing wrong against her (lol affair yes), and rule and laws she honestly feels that they belong to humans and do not apply to her kind. The compromise would be getting her in her berserker trigger, hurting her feelings, or somehow wooing her. Yay.

4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
She's tolerant of them up until you ridicule her for her beliefs and/or heritage, then no, she's not. She rather have you keep your human crap to yourself.

5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?
SO MANY.
Regina doesn't really like humans that much, she hates most of them, again, save the ones who are in her religious circle or show interest in her culture. This is brought from her abuse and torment as a child; Regina was tormented because she is a half-demon, an illegitimate child, and a child of rape.

She doesn't like Romans, at all. Myrddin would go off on tangents and tell her of how the Romans came in and crushed the Celtic culture 400 years ago and as a result, she has picked up on this, despite living in a Celtic-Roman Wales.

Regina hates Christians. Half-demon living in a Christian area? Yes, she suffered for that. Her mother is also a very radical Christian and has even gave her a "Christian name" of Regina when it's actually Gwenhwyfar. Not only that, her demonic blood is weak against holy and white.

She isn't too crazy about the Irish, is under the impression most of them are brash and crazy, although she's met a handful.

She's also weird about other women. It's not that she hates them, it's just that Regina tends to be more receptive and social with men, versus women. It's also made her, well, more sexually active than a normal girl in her teenage youth, because of the constant lack of a father figure and the trauma she had of parting from Myrddin. Also, a lot of stigma, hang ups, and insecurity from women does come from her mother.

A lot of her prejudices and assumptions are based on only handfuls of encounters, so, yes, Regina is very critical and judgmental, contradictory to her religious authority. In reality, Regina hasn't really gotten to know the real world or see a better view of it. So in turn, she looks down on a lot of people, if not most.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
A humbly poor Druid, she doesn't care.

2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?
She is an Ovate in the Druidic circle, a prophetess, seer, and shaman. <s>Or is that shawoman.</s> Steaming from being an Ovate, it's also common knowledge Regina is a noble or someone who came from a wealthy family, in order to receive training. Yes, only rich people had that kind of training. Despite, Regina lives a poor life; she hunts her own food, dresses in rags and bandages, and lives in the wild.

But in reality, she's the Welsh princess, Gwenhwyfar, though she's never been treated like it and if she was to be treated like it, it would certainly piss her off and weird her out.

3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?
She lives out in the forests in a little hut. Sometimes a cave if she feels like it. She can make a home out of any part of a forest.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?
Regina really doesn't have money, but she'd buy something practical, I bet.

5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?
Regina's an Ovate; she loves it and she's very good at it.

6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?
Other than her religion? Some paranormal and occultic stuff, she's always curious about it. But if you really want to know about her hobby? It's seriously collecting objects, things, skulls (yes, you read right), and pretty much anything that she deems of spiritual value.

And hoards them. Sob.

7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
She eats a lot. Big portions, as much as possible, mostly something she knows her body won't burn off quickly (read: protein and bread). If she does drink, it's sparingly. And Regina doesn't avoid food, obviously or skip meals. She can't, really. Well, if she avoids any food, it's people; she doesn't mean to eat people.

Associations
Which of the following do you associate with the character, or which is her favorite:

1. Color? White
2. Smell? Pine
3. Time of day? Evening
4. Season? Winter
5. Book? "The Crystal Cave" by Mary Stewart, which has actually influenced some of her creation
6. Music? LOOK AT ALL THIS FUCKING BLACK METAL.

Brictom - Eluveitie
Slania's Song - Eluveitie
Spirit - Eluveitie
Graven Idol - Primordial
Gateways - Dimmu Borgir
The Nephilim Rising - Behemoth
Lucifer - Behemoth
Inner Sanctum - Behemoth
A Succubus in Rapture - Dimmu Borgir
Progenies of the Great Apocalypse - Dimmu Borgir
As Rome Burns - Primordial
Journey's End - Primordial
Forgive Her - Swallow the Sun
Falling World - Swallow the Sun
Once it Was Ours - Moonspell
Night Eternal - Moonspell
Sanguine - Moonspell
All Shall Fall - Immortal
Tyrants - Immortal
Kneel to the Cross - Agalloch
They Escaped the Weight of Darkness - Agalloch
To Drown - Agalloch
A Dying God Coming into Human Flesh - Celtic Frost
Drown in Ashes - Celtic Frost
Those Whom the Gods Detest - Nile
Iskander Dhul Kharnon - Nile
Sister September - Anorexia Nervosa

okay im done

7.

Creation Process and Speculation Post

Regina is an OC derived from Arthurian, Welsh, and Enoch lore. A little dab of Gnostic and Eastern beliefs if you squint hard enough. She is meant to be a stark contrast to the traditional Guinevere, as if when Medieval authors had wrote about her, they purposefully made radical changes to her to make her more "civilized" and bring more of a Christian aspect to her. There are many variations of Guinevere, depending, of course, which myth you read and there is a triple goddess aspect to her.

Regina is different, aside from assuming the name "Regina". Regina, on the other hand, is a daughter of a Welsh Queen and the Grigori Azazel, born out of wedlock and a child of no consensual sex. Her mother suffered severe Postpartum Depression when she was an infant and was practically taken care by midwives up until she was small enough, but her mother's fear and disdain never evaporated. Because of the treatment she endured from her family, her husband's family, and her husband, Regina's mother took it out on her child, ranging from degrading her to beating her.

Where her romantic counterpart is Roman and a Christian, Regina is a Celt and a Druid. Since her Welsh mythological counterpart was a giant, so is Regina the old rhyme: Gwenhwyfar, ferch Ogrfan Gawr / Drwg yn fechan, gwaeth yn fawr. (translation: "Gwenhwyfar daughter of Gogfran Gawr; bad when little, worse when tall"). Or to be technical, a nephilim. Her Welsh counterpart was also the sovereign goddess of the land, whoever had her, had the rule to the throne. Despite, Regina has never been treated like an actual princess by those she knows and has known since a very young age about her inheritance, Myrddin has made sure of that. Where Arthur was raised by Merlin, Regina was under the tutorship of Merlin or Myrddin, which is his name in Welsh lore. She has been purposefully raised in the traditions of the Celts, versus the Romans, in hopes that she will restore some of the old culture when she assumes her birthright. Though she is a stark difference from her traditional counterpart, Regina is, after all, fickle. Her allegiances lie with no one, she trusts very few, so yes, even she will have an affair on her future husband.

Regina is now currently in Connacht, Ireland, for the sole purpose of continuing her religious teachings. During this time, Ireland is left untouched by Rome and left to thrive in the traditional ways. Where Regina could have been sent off to Inis Mona (Isle of Angelsy) 400 years prior, she is sent there to learn. Niall of the Nine Hostages has just supposedly passed on during an invasion, as a result, his nephews and half-brothers are scrambling to assume power of Connacht, leaving it in chaos.

THE GIANTS AND THE WORLD:
According to The Book of Enoch, angels known as "Grigori" fell from Heaven, because they lusted after the women on earth. They cross bred with the women and fathered half-blood creatures known as Nephilim. Also known as cambion, or to put it bluntly, in this story, half-demons. The Nephilim were giants and had huge appetites, eating everything on earth. But once God had seen this, he decided to drown the Earth, as we all know, telling Noah and Noah took his family and two of every animal into his ark.

In this world, it never happened. The nephilim died die off in some areas -- because they killed each other or they fathered quarter blooded and the line continued until it wasn't visible any longer. However, in Celtic lore, giants are frequent. Ranging from the giants Gog and Magog in the Irish Book of Invasions, to Fionn mac Comhaill, to actual gigantism genes in Ireland... I'm sure you get the picture. In conspiracy theories, alternate history, the Nephilim and/or Grigori are said to have had enormous influences on human society. They are known to harbor in Ireland, solely because of being untouched by Christianity, Ireland being genuinely a little isolated, and the connection to the paranormal world. Ireland is called "The Snake Pit" in Regina's time because of the all the paranormal creatures living there -- it's a fact of life. And, of course, when St. Patrick comes to "drive out snakes" it ultimately means the demonic lineage will slowly filter away. Regina lives with a small group of Druids, and sadly, makes no plans to move back to Wales, despite hating Ireland. The only thing that beckons her back is finding Myrddin as a complete Ovate.

DEMONS, FAIRIES, ANGELS?
In Regina's world, demons and angels are technically one in the same, and it is not too far-fetched, given that Regina's father was once one of the most powerful angels in all of Heaven, as well as his fellow Watchers (Grigori). As we all know, when the angels fell from Heaven, they fell into Hell. Angels were creatures composed of the Christian-Judaic god to serve man. When Lucifer refused to follow the orders and when the Grigori decided to rule on their own, they were cast out of Heavens and became higher demons. They were powerful and let their own powers consume them, becoming darker. They are above the food chain, this applies to anyone that is demonic or was a former angel, above the nephilim. They have more stability compared to Regina's race and are far more powerful. The nephilim are not meant to be as powerful as their fathers, because of the instability of their bloods, being half-human, half-demon. Human blood was not supposed to have this sort of power and the nephilim are ultimately destructive and consuming as a result, compared to demons and angels who are not.

It was actually a common belief in Ireland that the fairies (Sidhe) were demons and/or demoted angels. Because of this, they are just as powerful as demons and angels in Regina's world. They are a higher class of dead or are members of the dead, being spirits. Their place in the story is purely neutral and they have no sense of hierarchy in Welsh and Irish lore, unlike the Scottish Seelie and Unseelie. They bend to the whims of whatever they feel like and in reality, it's the sidhe, demons, and angels who can be far more monstrous compared to the nephilim and humans. While some are the Tuatha de Danann, they simply live life how they want to live it and will occasionally involve themselves in the world of the living if they feel like it or angered.

Since Regina was deemed too "arrogant" by the sidhe, she was taken back to the Otherworld to punish the growing uprising of the nephilim, despite the fact her group left her to die. She answers to them and is under their thumb, which would explain why Regina's such a damn good prophetess and an Ovate: she communes directly to the gods. Her right eye was taken as punishment, which is a shock to most, given that nephilim can heal faster and regenerate anything missing very quickly. Regina furthers this as an example of "this is why you can't anger the Tuatha de Danann".

And because it comes up frequently, Regina will often use terms and words that are not known today. LET IT BE KNOWN because Druids did NOT tend to pass down things written and did it verbally, Regina isn't entirely historically accurate. I cannot emphasize this enough and yes, I am constantly doing research on this character. A lot of sources during this time are questionable and don't have a lot to stand on. When the Druids lost Inis Mona, they lost a lot of their culture, period. The fall of Britain and Wales to the Roman meant the near destruction and death of a civilization and culture. So therefore, when these things come up, they're completely vague and possibly biased. SO.

With that.

TERMINOLOGY:

THE SIX CELTIC NATIONS (Gwledydd Celtaidd, Náisiúin Cheilteacha):
Cymru - Wales
Alba - Scotland
Éire - Ireland
Breizh - Britain
Mannin (Ellan Vannin) - Isle of Man
Kernow - Cornwall

OTHER PLACES?
Of course, the original Celtic nation, Gaul, currently known as France. However, in the current timeline, Gaul was considered part of the Roman Empire, and has long since adopted cultural aspects of the empire, as well as the languages spoken (Latin). The majority of Gaul spoke Latin by the third century, with a few still speaking Gallic language, Gaulish. Spoken through the Iron Age, well into Roman rule and as anyone knows, the language is now extinct. The closest you may hear to it is probably Eluveitie! Roman rule stopped in Gaul in 455 to 476, when the Visigoths, the Burgundians, and the Franks invaded.

Inis Mona - Isle of Anglesey, an island and county off the northwest coast of Wales. Said to be the stronghold of Druidism, many Druids were sent here for twenty years to learn and practice their faith. Think of it as the Yale University for the religion. But during 78 AD, it was invaded by Rome to crush Druidism and, unfortunately, it was successful. Most records of the religion do not exist because of this.

Languages:
Cymraeg - Welsh (a Brythonic branch of the Celtic languages)
Gaeilge - Irish (Gaelic)
Brezhoneg - Breton (This was spoken in Brittany, or, you know, Britain territories)
Gàidhlig - Scottish (Gaelic)
Kernewek - Cornish
Gaelg - Manx (Isle of Man)

Relatively more info here.

People (from the countries):
Cymry - Welsh
Éireannaigh - Irish
Breizhiz - Bretons
Manninee - Manx (Isle of Man)
Albannaich - Scottish
Kernowyon - Cornish

Terms relating to people:
Ordovice - This was a Celtic tribe that was later assimilated into the Roman Empire 77/78 AD, after failed resistance. They were said to wage guerrilla warfare against the Romans and were one of the few tribes who resisted the Romans. Regina's family comes directly from the Orodvicans. While it's said that the whole tribe has been wiped out, doubts from the terrain may prove otherwise. Cymru is an assimilation of Celtic and Roman culture, both languages of both cultures being spoken.

Nephilim - "Nephilim" (נְפִילִים) probably derives from the Hebrew root npl (נָפַל), "to fall" which also includes "to cause to fall" and "to kill, to ruin". Regina's "species", sort of speak, better known as "giants" or "devourers". Annunaki, 'hanyō, Demigod, and Cambion can also apply to them.

Bard - Professional poet and keeper of knowledge, they would sing praises of noblemen, gods, and warriors.

Ovate - A shaman, prophet, and healer (which Regina assumes the role of).

Druid - The priests who held greater positions in Celtic society, such as judges and advisers. Though, after the fall of Gaul and the invasion into Inis Mona, it should be noted Druids do not have such a high rank in the current society to the story. And while Celtic religion declined, some still practiced it; since Rome never touched Ireland, this is a great example that it still thrived in some areas.

Druidism terms:

Nementon - "Sacred Grove" <s>omg this post is littered with Eluveitie references!</s>, a sacred space in the most natural place, where many rituals and religious ceremonies were practiced. This also applies to shrines and temples. THOUGH, the Romans, as usual, considered such practices as horrible:

no bird nested in the nemeton, nor did any animal lurk nearby; the leaves constantly shivered though no breeze stirred. Altars stood in its midst, and the images of the gods. Every tree was stained with sacrificial blood. the very earth groaned, dead yews revived; unconsumed trees were surrounded with flame, and huge serpents twined round the oaks. The people feared to approach the grove, and even the priest would not walk there at midday or midnight lest he should then meet its divine guardian.
