At least if it takes a while, it's because we're getting a big update, and I prefer it that way. And without those options to choose which girl to spend time with.
I find it tolerable if the "skip" involved someone outside the protagonist's circle and it adds nothing to the protagonist's life., but if it's someone close to him or from his circle, and the "skip" still happens behind the MC's back, it would be somewhat unpleasant.
