Aurum is a 24-hour AI-native hackathon hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore. The event brings together student developers, designers, and builders to create real systems powered by intelligent automation and AI-driven workflows.
What to expect
- Build real, working systems within a 24-hour offline hackathon.
- Work alongside developers, designers, and builders from across the country.
- Receive mentorship from industry and academic experts.
- Present your solution to a panel of judges.
Tracks
Projects can be built across the following domains. Regardless of the track, all submissions must incorporate AI systems or intelligent agents.
- Fintech – Fraud detection, risk analysis systems, automated trading tools, and AI-powered financial assistants.
- Data Science – Predictive models, large-scale data pipelines, analytics systems, and intelligent data-driven applications.
- Blockchain – Decentralized applications, smart contracts, on-chain analytics, and blockchain systems enhanced with AI automation.
- Open Innovation – Real-world problem solving across healthcare, education, sustainability, productivity, and social impact.
Selection
Aurum is designed to be a highly selective hackathon.
- Teams apply through Devfolio.
- Applications are evaluated based on a 250 word project pitch describing the idea, technical approach, and potential impact.
- Shortlisted teams are invited to participate in the final offline hackathon at DSCE.
