I see FLTK1.3 was added as makedepend, thank you! I did some further work for cmake to detect that version, otherwise it keeps using FLTK1.4.
Now FLTK1.3 is properly detected but when reaching practically the end of the build process I get this
It's in Spanish but basically it says that «_ZN7Fl_TreeC2EiiiiPKc» is an undefined symbol and that a DSO is missing from command line, but I don't know if this is an error in the FLTK1.3 library or something else has to be modified to the cmake files before starting the building process.

Gmsh is very slow when mouse hovering, see here https://hpc.montefiore.ulg.ac.be/gmsh/gmsh/-/issues/1313. According to release notes, since v4.14 they compile with FLTK 1.3 instead of the current version to solve this. FLTK1.3 is available in extra repository, but how should I modify the Pkgbuild to force that version instead of the current one (both versions will be present in my system)?

@Aurelius_Nero You can write a patch file and incorporate it in your PKGBUILD, if you want to install it a package. Alternatively, in case you are fine not to have it as a package, you can compile gmsh manually after changing the files.

@Tomatopaste I am getting the same error. I have tried changing the files as suggested in the error report. However, I am using yay and it always resets the build files. How do I rectify this error using yay?

I ran into an issue compiling gmsh with gcc 15.1. Again, it has been already reported here https://gitlab.onelab.info/gmsh/gmsh/-/issues/3276 and here https://gitlab.onelab.info/gmsh/gmsh/-/issues/3270

I do not even have an idea where to start here :)
