@FabioLolix I have 16GB ram and 4GB swap. I don't know what made it crush. The systemd-run --scope -p CPUQuota=50% yay -S musescore-git still runs but if it is to take so many hours to build it I cannot wait for it! Thank you for your response anyway!

@angelosn I had a similar problem with gtk4-git and I've avoided the problem using or increasing the swap but I don't recall the procedure

Hi, I try to install it with yay but my computer freezes after start building. I try to set to -j8 (I have 16 total) but still the same. I also tried NINJAFLAGS="-j8" yay -S musescore-git without success. Now I try systemd-run --scope -p CPUQuota=50% yay -S musescore-git as AI suggested but I don't know if it safe when I upgrade it in the future. Is there any "right" way to do it?

Can you add -DCMAKE_POSITION_INDEPENDENT_CODE:BOOL=ON to the flags? Build fails right at the end otherwise with:

mold: error: /usr/lib/libQt6Core.so.6.9.1: cannot create a copy relocation for protected symbol 'qt_resourceFeatureZstd'; recompile with -fPIC

@kelvie I don't have broadband in these days yet I made a couple changes, now it fetch git master, the pkgbuild is also hosted here https://github.com/FabioLolix/PKGBUILD-AUR_fix/tree/master/m if you have some changes to propose

Hello oberon, the pkgbuild still need to change branch

Since it can no longer be installed alongside musescore -DMSCORE_INSTALL_SUFFIX="-git" \ and the .install file can be removed (https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/?h=musescore-git&id=a2285bbac4990938e8cf0cbc03996e8fe04b902b)

@rhipilaf Do a pacman -Syu before building.

Your local package database is probably out of date, causing pacman to request packages that have been replaced by newer versions.
