All is good just had to disable debug package electron40 working fine.

1 aur/electron40-bin 40.8.5-1 (+9 6.39) (Installed)

The download snapshot link is for version 40.8.3-1, not 40.8.5-1. Please update the download link. It also might be helpful to include the version info in the PGKBUILD file.

I suggest you to disable debug packages by prepending ! before debug inside makepkg.conf(5) OPTIONS.

@daisseur @missingSleepDeps @Roxiemeow @D3SOX @Gojira_96 The upstream has deleted the prebuilt files. See that: https://github.com/electron/electron/releases/tag/v40.2.0 . Now I had downgrade to 40.1.0.

40.1.0 is still there. You can set _pkgver="${_major}.1.0" in PKGBUILD and run makepkg -si --nosign --skipchecksums
