The Lawson Legacy: Generation 7.7

Last time, Germanicus killed a sim. It's all gotta be uphill from there, right?

After the untimely death of Jill (*coughcough*), a new dormie arrived. Her name is Trista Parker and I'm pretty sure she's been with a few Lawsons over the years. Surprisingly, given the red hair, Grace doesn't decide to join that club.

Poor Gaius, crying his little heart out over the death in the dorm.
Just kidding! He's actually whining about his aspiration being in the red, as though it's my fault he just sits on the damn piano all day long.

This gorgeous redhead was a walk-by who couldn't be let walk by.

And Grace shows that she has awful taste by finding the cute readhead totally ho-hum.

Either that, or she's just getting way too attached with ol' Elise, here. And, because she's a cheerleader, she's always around to remind Grace of their three bolts of lurrrve.

It's all getting a bit domesticated in the dorm, what with Griff and Adam...

...and Grace and Elise all coupling up.

Do you think it might have anything to do with the fact that he spends his entire life fighting Dickson?

This is Tyrone Reikaite, and he's proof that the non-loved-up Lawsons can, in fact, find themselves a date. Sometimes. Gaius was quite enamoured of him, and they had a great date, but there was something a little bit lacking.

Meanwhile, Germanicus met and fell for William Lawson. Like father, like son in William's opinion, apparently.

They were cockblocked by Griff just as they were about to woohoo, however.

Speaking of Griff, that would be his boyfriend heading into the photobooth with his oldest brother. Hint: they didn't take any photos.
Not cool, Gaius.

Guillaume was harder to hook up with a date, largely due to his innate hatred of just about everyone, really. Finally, however, he spotted Robin Butcher when out and about.

As you can see, he's super cute! A worthy boyfriend for the (very near) runner-up to the heir trophy. What do you think, Dickson?

Gotcha.

Luckily, Dickson doesn't decide anything around here.

That's just a friendly cuddle, right guys?

Gaius kept rolling wants for his teenage boyfriend, George McCarthy, to join him at university, so by the magic of hacks I granted his wish, hoping that might take his attention off Adam for a while.

After generations spent languishing as a teen in the legacy, George knows what he wants to do first, now that he's finally an adult.

The pair quickly takes up where they left off as teenagers, falling deeply in love with each other.

Apparently George isn't just in it for one night.

(Although he'll happily take that in the interim.)

For some reason (I'm looking at you, Guillaume), Dickson moves out of the dorm. His replacement is the oh-so-pretty Edward Fairchild. I'm rather glad that none of the boys have three bolts with him, because I'd rather like to save him as a potential heir spouse ;)

Germanicus manages to overcome the spectre of Will formerly being his own father's lover. Meanwhile, Will decides it's probably time to move on, given that Fiyero's been married to Vittorio for a couple of decades.

You know it's love if you'll literally sleep together – and not just figuratively do it.

YAY IT'S ROGER ZARUBIN. This guy has been around since Brit was at uni. When I cleared out all the hideous maxis template sims from the neighbourhood recently, I kept Roger because he's kind of like the legacy mascot at this point. I want to marry him into the family.

Unfortunately, the rest of the boys agree with Gaius. Sorry, Rog. Not this generation.

Okay, this one might take a moment to get straight. This is Adam, in the middle of hugging his boyfriend, getting annoyed because Gaius, the guy he's been cheating on Griff with, is attempting to shag Germanicus's boyfriend in the hot tub, while Germanicus is busy spying on the neighbours. Got it?

ADAM: How dare you cheat on me!
GAIUS: But we're not...
WILL: Does this mean the sex isn't happening?

Adam doesn't drop a grudge easily. Especially when it involves his not-boyfriend cuddling someone else.

I bet Edward's feeling embarrassed to be a redhead right now.

Well, I suppose that's one place to fall in love, Guillaume. And people always say it's the womenfolk who confuse sex with love.

Just another day in the Lawson dorm. Adam is trying to hug Edward, who's not having a bar of it, Guillaume is cleaning, while swooning over Edward, and Griff is wondering why his boyfriend isn't hugging him.

Adam's not going to like that, Gaius...

GRACE: Omigod Grace Lawson is so hawwwttt!!!
GUILAUME: OIC
Best not to ask, really.

Grace and Elise go on a date to the gamer secret lot (despite Grace being a sports sim and Elise being a cuisine sim), and this old lady watches them creepily for the entire time.

With the kids in their final year of university, it's time to start getting serious.

For Guillaume, that means proposing to Robin in his pants. Luckily, Robin is happy to accept, despite the lack of formality.

At this point, EVERYONE starts obsessing about the damn kitchen fireplace, that has been in the dorm since the very beginning. Everyone wants to light it. And it's SUMMER.

GRIFF: Marry me and be my one and only for ever and ever?
ADAM: Okay! The one and only restriction only applies to you, right?

And then Germanicus comes THIS close to dying. I had Grace on standby waiting to plead with the Grim Reaper, but he woke up JUST before his hunger bar hit zero.

Despite his dalliance with Edward, it's George who Griff really loves.

Proof that high school romances can work out?

This is the perfect illustration of the personality differences between Robin and Elise. After his dream date, Robin drops off a pleasantly geeky pinball machine....

...while Elise drops off a delicately pretty vase.

Germanicus almost does as well as Guillaume by proposing in his bathing suit.

And discovers that Will is a romance sim ;)

Finally, it's our heir's turn to propose – and it just had to be Elise. The cheerleaders usually drive me crazy, but Elise is just adorable. Even more so when she's bouncing from excitement as Grace pulls out a ring box.

Look at those faces ♥ We'll undoubtedly have an overabundance of blond children in gen 8, but could you say no to these two?

Elise says yes, by the way. In case you were at all doubtful.

Splashing in puddles in a thunderstorm? Excellent idea, Grace.

That's not your fiancé, Gaius.

Adam continues to crack onto Edward, who is becoming more and more frustrated by it.

A little random Grace & Elise cuteness.

These kids argue for fun. And it doesn't stop them from all having perfect relationships with each other.

GUILLAUME: Do you ever feel like you're in jail, now you're engaged?
GRIFFITH: Adam only guards the door because he loves me.

Dormie fight! Apparently Adam hit on Edward one too many times.

EDWARD: That'll teach you to try to hug me!

Trista really fails at toileting. Near enough is not good enough when it comes to this kind of thing.

You couldn't have waited a minute, Edward? o.O

With Dickson safely out of the dorm, Guillaume's new target is the llama mascot.

That's still not your fiancé, Gaius.

I've never seen this happen before! Adam tries to jump into Gaius's arms, and Gaius isn't having a bar of it, so Adam lands on his arse.

GAIUS: I told you: it was one thing cheating with you when you were my brother's boyfriend, but you're his fiancé now. That would just be wrong.

GAIUS: MINUS MINUS
ADAM: MINUS MINUS DE-HEART

Adam looks so confused, poor boy.

Sick of being the only non-dramatic sibling, Grace puts her three nice points to good use and makes the llama cry.

She reminds me of her grandmother when she's mad :)

GRACE: You're going down, bitch!

LLAMA: You were saying?

Jill returns to the dorms to avenge her murder, but only manages to make Gaius wee his pants.

And finally it's graduation time! Does that mortarboard suit anyone?

Grace invites Elise, her parents, her grandmother and her dog to her graduation party. Neither Elizabeth, nor Bones, deign to put in an appearance. You know you're in trouble when the dog has better things to do.

This is Elise's first introduction to Fiyero and Vittorio. At least she knows from the get-go what she's in for.

It's not a uni party without the llama mascott kicking the cow mascott's arse.

Nor is it a Lawson uni party without the photobooth being utilised for nefarious purposes.

With one last shag under her belt, Grace feels a little peculiar.

With an explosion of confetti, she drops the 'young' from 'young adult' and prepares to head back to the legacy house to get another generation of Lawsons underway.
