The Lawson Legacy: Generation 5.5

Last time, the fifth generation all grew up and headed off to university, because I am a sucker for punishment and seem to think that it's necessary to have Romance Sims who are university graduates, even if the only thing they want in life is a whole lotta woohoo. Of course, uni taking 439873458 hours to play through has completely stolen my ability to

Eponine was just as ridiculously good-looking as a young adult.

Eleanor was almost as pretty as her twin...

...but Elizabeth is the heir of generation five. Her sisters are more traditionally attractive, but Elizabeth is fantastic and I love her :D Basically, the only way she wouldn't have ended up heir would have been if she had ended up looking like this next guy once she grew into a young adult.

GUESS WHO, GUYS! Unfortunately, the only time I saw him this update was when he cleared out of the dorm (left over from the 4th gen boys) when the girls moved in :(
Speaking of moving in, the only one of the girls who had a lifetime aspiration involving a career was Eponine. She signed up for a Philosophy major, to push her towards her goal of a successful journalism career, while Eleanor chose biology (it has something to do with making babies, after all) and Elizabeth chose drama... for fairly obvious reasons.

The girls were joined by three dormies, the first of whom was Theresa Grundstrom.

Elizabeth was quick to show off her shining social skills.

She then invited high school girlfriend Melody Tinker over, thinking her an easy target when it came to working her way towards her life goal of woohooing with twenty different sims.

She aged up very nicely!

Not to be outdone, Eponine invited over her own high school chum, Tessa Ramirez, and aged her up.

The cause of all the drama between Elizabeth and Eponine, Jill Midlock, also found herself invited to the dorm and subjected to being aged up

Dormie number two: Rebecca Stratton.

Dormie number three, who was not interested in any of the girls and thus didn't have a name. Apparently. *cough*

The girls headed to the shops to stock up on mobile phones (essential for Romance sims!) and MP3 players. Apparently Jill was coping just fine with being mysteriously turned into a young adult, given that she had already found a job on campus. A job with an extremely... casual... dress code.

Eponine is an autonomous primper, like her father and big sister before her.

Ahh dormies.

Ahh dormies take two :D

Eponine fell in love with

Eponine didn't seem to care about that, however.

A couple of dorm rooms over, Elizabeth was having her own first time with Melody – hereafter known as Conquest number one.

She did a good job at looking as though she wasn't about to jump right into bed with the next girl who'd let her.

A typical scene of college life: Elizabeth and Eponine compare stories of losing their V-Cards, while a dormie lies, passed-out, in the background.

Just because Elizabeth is love.

Of course, Eponine is also love, especially when wearing that devilish expression.

Unnamed Dormie: Could you put on a DRESS for god's sake?
Theresa: HOW DARE YOU! MINUS MINUS!

Near-nudity is srs business.

Would you trust that face?

Elizabeth's third highschool girlfriend, Sheila Cameron, faced the growing-up music.

She made a very nice looking adult.

Elizabeth thought so too. Conquest number two.

I think this picture is the perfect summary of dorm life in Sims 2.

Jill and Elizabeth fell back in love after that unfortunate incident involving Eponine.

...and Jill became conquest number three.

Elizabeth gained a good reputation. The Sims are a little unrealistic in this regard :/

At this point, my cook glitched and reloading the game didn't help, so I had to bulldoze the dorm and start again. This meant that I got three new dormies, the first of whom was Joanne Dalton, who is ridiculously pretty but had zero interest in Elizabeth.

I'm pretty sure this kind of behaviour would get a professor fired at basically any university BUT a Sims 2 university.

Eponine really isn't the sporty type.

It was Eleanor's turn to invite over her highschool girlfriend, Calista Platz, and age her up.

It's amazing what the removal of EAxis makeup can do.

As young adults, the two quickly fell in love, and Eleanor immediately rolled the want to get engaged to Calista. The second semester of her Freshman year, however, was far too early for her to be settling down.

Theresa became conquest number four.

The second of the new dormies was Brittany Kauker.

Elizabeth obviously approved, immediately launching into a multiple-times-a-day routine of autonomous romancing.

She also invited Camryn McClennan over for a date.

However, once it became clear that Camryn was familiar because she'd been one of Elizabeth's uncle Dante's conquests, it all got a bit weird and Camryn wasn't added to her own conquest list.

All of the fires in my legacy are started by dorm cooks, who really should have enough cooking points to NOT BURN THE PLACE DOWN.

It was only a matter of time before Brittany became conquest number 5.

Family sims can woohoo too!

Just because I love her :)

While out and about, Elizabeth meets Heather Huffington. Random townie DISAPPROVES.

Heather is a playable who used to date Elizabeth's great grandfather. AWKWARD!

Oh, hi Etienne. Good to see that you're having fun at uni, despite me completely disowning you the moment you arrived! He actually doesn't look too hideous in this picture, which is a nice change.

Elizabeth and Heather hit it off pretty well. Conquest number six.

Eponine scores herself a music and dance hobby plaque. Her One True Hobby is cuisine. I'm not sure what the point of those is, given that Sims seem to show absolutely no autonomous preference for them.

Conquest number seven: Trista Parker

It's no real surprise that Elizabeth had made a name for herself on campus by this point.

The third new dormie was Kerie Nanale and she was to become an important part of both Elizabeth's and Eponine's university lives.
It was around this point that my screen capping program decided not to work on one of my longest chunks of play. The key events lost during this period were Elizabeth's conquests numbers eight through eleven. The first was Rebecca (former dormer number two), the second a fellow uni student called Marylena McCullough (who had three bolts with Elizabeth) and a third was Kerie. Going by Elizabeth's eventual LTW count, there was also a fourth conquest at this point, but her memories (and mine) are missing someone. From this point onwards, Kerie seemed to manage to autonomously woohoo with Elizabeth or Eponine at least once a day. Sometimes it was both sisters. Both 'couples' eventually fell in love, but there was absolutely no drama about their little arrangement, which I'm still surprised by.

Back to your scheduled programming, and Elizabeth was quick to ask Sandy Dallas out on a date to make the most of screen caps being back up and running. Unfortunately, her manners could have used a little fine-tuning, as she immediately proceeded to accept a call from one of her other crushes.

Sandy didn't seem to mind. Conquest number 12.

Eleanor wanted to write a novel. Unfortunately, Animals, Animals! wasn't very good.

Kerie and Brittany loathed each other, so this sight was a very common one in the dorm.

Despite her oat-sowing, Elizabeth still had time for Jill.

Do you really blame her? Besides, the two of them had three bolts, so things were kind of drenched in heart clouds whenever they were in the same room together.

Elizabeth and Eponine forgot their quarrel over Jill pretty much the moment they got to uni, and remained the best of friends throughout, often choosing to spend time together when they weren't too busy seducing their respective dates.

This is Beverly Pederson. She's ridiculously pretty. Unfortunately, she thinks that Elizabeth is the exact opposite of pretty.

It doesn't matter, though, because Rebecka Royce thinks otherwise! Conquest number thirteen.

Eleanor disapproves of such public shenanigans!

She's more than happy to lure Beverly to her bed, however. So much for wanting to get engaged to Calista...

Conquest number 14: the extremely pretty Elizabeth Wolosenko. I wonder if the name thing was confusing.

This is Sharon Dalton. Although she looks fairly unassuming, she is about to change dorm relationships forever.

While on a date with Sharon, Elizabeth flirted with her in front of Brittany, who was in love with Elizabeth and DIDN'T APPRECIATE IT ONE BIT. Up until this point, she'd been sharing the autonomous-woohooing-of-Elizabeth role with Kerie, but apparently she'd thought she was the only girl in Elizabeth's heart. Oh dear.

Elizabeth doesn't like being shouted at :(

You know you're a busy Romance Sim when you have two of your conquests dropping off thank you gifts at the same time.

Kerie: OMG WATCHING YOU WEE IS SO BORRRRINNNNNGGGG *whine*
Um...

This is just one of the many reasons why I love Elizabeth.

POP! No, there are no scandalous university pregnancies here, sorry. Elizabeth just got fat.

I had no idea that pingus had such a deep-seated interest in law and order.

Michelle Zarubin became the latest in Elizabeth's string of first dates.

Elizabeth doesn't do a good line in smiling prettily for her dates.

She also got fit due to needing body points for her major.

Elizabeth seemed rather unimpressed by the very pretty Gretchen Buckingham...

...but she was just fuming about Brittany having told her off for being a lousy, no-good cheater.

This is Rose Barrett. She is (a) important, (b) in possession of fully recessive genetics and (c) very pretty.

My first witch-spotting since getting Apartment Life! It was at this point that I realised I needed to do something about that hideous green overlay o.O

Vampire spotting on the same night!

Is it just me, or is Abbey Lewis particularly real looking?

Elizabeth didn't care about such things. She just cared that Abbey was conquest number fifteen.

Tuesday Little, the Infallibly Evil witch, looked a helluva lot better once I'd ditched the green overlay.

Elizabeth didn't appreciate her habit of conjuring cockroaches, however.

As it was nearing the end of the girls' time at university, I decided to give them each one final date with the matchmaker, to ensure that they would end up with their perfect match. Eponine went first.

This, folks, is what happens when a sim's turn-ons include grey hair. I'm not sure whether female elders are still capable of creating babies if they're using the same-sex hack with a non-elder female, but Nikki Zhang was ruled out as an option for Eponine just in case. They did, however, have three bolts, something that Eponine hadn't seen until then.

For a family sim, Eleanor seemed far too excited at the prospect of another chance of a random match usurping Calista as her One True Love.

Unfortunately, the matchmaker brought Zoe Custer, whom you all may remember as the Lawson's gardener back home. What a waste of five grand, especially as they didn't have any more chemistry than Eleanor and Calista have.

Elizabeth found that she had a lot in common with Tuesday. It might be the whole evil thing that did it.

...well, either that or Tuesday's similar interest in woohooing in public places. Conquest number sixteen.

Remember Rose? Conquest number seventeen, coming right up!

As a university Senior and a Family Sim, Eleanor thought that settling down was long over due, so she took Calista on a romantic date to a park and proposed.

Calista was very happy to say yes.

Meanwhile, Gretchen was becoming conquest number eighteen.

And Michelle? Conquest number nineteen.

Remember Sharon, who was the cause of all the drama between Elizabeth and Brittany? She was privileged enough to become conquest number twenty...

...and Elizabeth completed her LTW and received perma-plat status, all before graduating from university. Yay Elizabeth!

Why was the extremely unathletic Eponine working out in the kitchen?

Ah. Creepy coach-dude. Of course.

With her LTW out of the way, Elizabeth hit up the matchmaker for one last chance at finding her true love. (Mind you, she was already in love with about ten different women at this point.)

The matchmaker introduced her to Nancy Boyle, who was another three-bolter, but whose lips would create some terrifying children if they happened to be teamed with Elizabeth's face shape. So their romance was not to be ;)

Eleanor received a film & television plaque, largely due to her annoying habit of spending EVERY FREE MOMENT surfing the internet for related sites. You just know she's all over the IMDB forums.

Elizabeth's new LTW is to become a professional party guest.

Is that a red head I spot in that cloud of dust?

Just Brittany kicking Elizabeth's arse. Nothing too surprising.
So, at this point, it had come time to choose a future spouse for our heir. As I said earlier, Elizabeth was in love with a lot of women. While I am extremely fond of Jill and her drama-bringing ways, her dominant genes would mean that we'd be back to brown hair for at least the sixth generation, and possibly beyond. Tuesday was also very tempting, but she makes such a perfect Infallibly Evil witch, and it seemed cruel to take that away from her, just so that she could end up (likely) being cheated on by a wife that she (as a Romance sim) probably didn't even want. Elizabeth had actually rolled a want to get engaged to Rebecka at one point, but she was too much like a lighter-skined clone of Elizabeth's great great grandmother, Abbey. And so the choice was made...

...and Elizabeth proposed to Rose Barrett. Generation six will be redheads, one and all :)

For a Romance Sim, she looked adorably worried that Rose might reject her.

No chance. Rose is a Fortune Sim. She knows better than to say no to a woman who buys her lobster on a date.

Second thoughts, Elizabeth?

Eponine also used the last hours of her time at university to propose. Remember Kerie? Eponine

Of course, they're both Romance Sims, so it's not as though marriage is a GOOD thing.

The girls all graduated well. Nice to see that Elizabeth remained her usual, charming self, even with a summa cum laude degree.

Handy hint: do not invite vampires to daytime graduation parties. It will almost kill them. Oops?

Party over, Elizabeth grew up... and into a decent outfit, because she is Just That Cool <3 AND UNIVERSITY WAS FINALLY OVER HURRAH
Next time: There may be babies. In a Legacy! Who would have guessed?!
