The Lawson Legacy: Generation 5.3

Last time, Etienne grew up and was immediately kicked out of the house sent to university, as there was no way he was going to be heir. And then Christmas arrived, and I got the Free Time expansion, so I used it as an incentive to actually clear out my CC folder a little. In doing so, I somehow killed most of my CC grey hair (while leaving a whole stack of incorrectly binned non-grey hair in there *sigh*) and changed my default skins! I'd had the old ones for ages and then I saw these lovely ones and had to have them. And thus we start this update with a picspam of how everyone looks after their post-Free-Time-installation makeovers...






Celeste is still smoking hawt. She even manages to rock the Maxis hair.





Pretty Lucy.





Darren still looks pretty much the same, perhaps slightly prettier.





My beloved Drusus <3 I love how my new skins actually show a proper difference between the s1 and s2 skin tones.





The newly teenified Elizabeth continues to be surprisingly pretty, especially after a second (and better) makeover.





Eponine is still way too cute. (And on the potty.)





Eleanor wanted to get in on the potty photo action.





Hell freezes over and Darren suddenly starts pulling his weight around the house and even - *gasp* - autonomously taking care of the children. It's a pity he didn't get around to that when his own two kids needed a bit of TLC.





Romance sims need loving, even as teens, so Elizabeth heads into town to look for easy targets, creepy-looking wrist and all.





The shop was filled with adults (and Elizabeth is not an inteen kinda girl), but the cashier – Jill Midlock - is pretty and of a non-criminal age. Unfortunately, she refuses to fall in love at first sight.





Elizabeth thinks she's hot, though, so she chats for a while to build the relationship, then files away Jill's number for future misuse.





Brutus Lawson: Awkward. Pretty sure that's my great great niece behind me.

It was at this point I realised I really needed to start appropriately aging my spares.





Birthday time! Eleanor wishes to NOT age into an outfit as hideous as Lucy's one.





So pretty she doesn't need to bother with makeovers.





Eponine's turn! (Plz note Darren continuing not to fail.)





How could anyone resist this child's puppy-eyed face?





Apparently Elizabeth can. Hugs are evil.





Elizabeth: I'll wave good morning to you, but if you touch me again, you're grilled cheese.





New house means new gardener. She's kinda cute, so if I ever find a desperate heir on my hands, I know where to look.





Apparently Drusus is forgiven for his little lapse. You know, the one that resulted in Eponine and Eleanor.





Elizabeth brings Melody Tinker home from school. Nice shades :D





Elizabeth is in dire need of a first kiss, though, so she decides to clean Melody up a little.

Still, could you get angry at this face?





Second time's the charm in this case. Melody is much more dateable without the green lenses. (Why, Maxis, why?)





Apparently Elizabeth's still undateable, though. I'm as stunned as you are, Elizabeth :O





Homework parties are hard damnit. (Guest appearance by Drusus's leg.)





Still shaken from Melody's inconceivable refusal to acknowledge her hot, Elizabeth calls Jill for a date. Jill is much more open to Elizabeth's advances. Possibly because she's a romance sim herself.





Much more open. First kiss, complete with stuck dancing-face.





With the stereo on, Celeste has absolutely no choice but to head into the kids room and wake Eponine by smustling loudly at 2am. Grandmothers should always be rotten influences.





Jill is first in the line of what will surely be a lonnnnnnng line of dream dates, especially if Elizabeth is heir.





Autonomous tucking-in never grows old. Not least when the kid's worn out from middle-of-the-night smustle parties.





Darren: Ewwww Mahew is so ugly.

Yeah, well your husband doesn't think so...





Darren: I'm so glad I graduated uni so I could be unemployed for most of my adult life and play on the swing all day with my mother-in-law! Yay!





Elizabeth brings her cousin, Elias Lawson, home from school!





...and immediately gives him a noogie. Hey, with that haircut, he was kinda asking for it.





Elias: I feel violated O: O: O:





To apologise, Elizabeth gets rid of the bowl cut for him.





Okay, so this is the point where I really regretted adding in a mod that elders' lifespans would be much more random. Celeste D: D: D:





WHO WILL SMUSTLE IN THE KIDS' ROOM NOW???





Does anyone even remember Dionysius? He was so not-heir that he didn't even get to graduate uni with his brothers. And yet apparently he scores a much higher inheritance than Dante and Darcy.





Eponine is heartbroken, poor kid.





Elizabeth: Anyone want to join me in a swim? What, you're still mourning? Grandma died two whole sim minutes ago!





Eponine: I'm upset. Hug me?

Elizabeth: WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT TOUCHING ME?!?





Celeste's grave joins the rest in the family graveyard.





What the hell, Lucy? You couldn't have waited a few hours?





Catterick takes his angst out on the toy bird.





Apparently Elizabeth is capable of affection. Possibly only when it involves animals, however.





Hi Brit! Thanks for popping by and making Eleanor wet herself!





Amelie drops in too, but Eponine is made of sterner stuff and manages not to embarrass herself all over the bedroom floor.





The Lawsons are Lawsons even in death. Forget about possessing objects – Brit pops back to make Lucy's bed.





Because it's a rule that every Legacy must include a picture of twins hugging each other (or else).





Celeste's death sent Eponine into the kiddy version of aspiration failure, which means toilet tantrums, apparently.





The fairy tutu is cute as, but not entirely appropriate for basketball.





Catterick turns to drugs to heal the pain.





Presumably Lucy's looking for that new love she's so desperate for.





Yeah, Eponine is one of those kids. Are you surprised?





Eleanor got fat. She looked pretty unhappy about it, so she shot hoops until she worked it back off.





Elizabeth decided to take a second crack at Melody, after the latter just turned up on the Lawson's doorstep. She's pretty persuasive, is our Elizabeth.





Macking on your schoolmate while your parents snog in the same room is a leeeeetle creepy, though, Elizabeth.





Darren: So, am I forgiven yet?

Yeah, yeah, you're forgiven. But only because you're pretty.





Melody: Are you sure all best friends make out with each other?

Elizabeth: *whistles innocently*





She does innocent well. Don't believe a word of it. One nice point, remember?





Lucy too? Crap :(





Although it looks like it, the Grim Reaper's crotch isn't actually thinking about Darren. It's Catterick. Promise.





What the hell is with the Dionysius love, guys? He almost got as much as Drusus and you haven't even spoken to him on the phone in years! (Plz note: Elizabeth got shafted.)





Presumably she's crying about the fact that her baby sisters and twin brother all scored better inheritances than her.





Lucy's gravestone is placed beside Celeste's.





Poor Eleanor. Two deaths and an accident. This update has really sucked for you, huh?

Next time... well, hopefully no one will die. And the twins might finally make it to their teen years. Betcha can't wait :D
