As a YouTuber (215k subs now) myself, I know the pain. I spent years working with my video editor to nail down a workflow to convert my long videos into shorts. It was impossible (and that's why I'm building Choppity). My editor is incredible at long-form editing, but we just couldn't deliver on the sheer demand of short-form. There is A LOT that happens when you’re converting long-form content: 😭 Finding the specific moments that are actually valuable. 😭 Animated captions 😭 Styling (zooms, cuts, layouts, framing, etc). 😭 Adding relevant B-roll. The list goes on. Then repeat it 10-30 times per long-form video 😅 And when that was finally done... 🤕 The dread set in. We still had to manually post everything to every single social platform ☠️. That is why I'm now building Choppity to be the product I wish I had back then. For the past year we've been helping thousands of creators, podcasters and businesses clip the best moments from their long-form videos with all the bells and whistles intact... ✨ Automatically with AI ✨ What use to be weeks worth of manual work can now be done in 5-10 minutes. We also built a Pro Video Editor experience inside the app that allows you to refine those AI clips to perfection. No one else does this. And as of this morning, we have solved the "DISTRIBUTION DREAD" and the technical headaches too. Nothing is worse than captions that drift out of sync on a 2-hour podcast. We have eliminated 99% of caption drift on files that are 2-3+ hours long. It is now rock solid. We are building the tool I always wanted as a creator.

Last weekend, I decided to eat my own dog food. While sitting at a cafe with my wife, I connected her YouTube channel to Choppity and turned one of her old long-form videos into Shorts. I wanted to show her why she shouldn’t keep putting this off, because every uncut video is: • missed views • missed fans • missed sales of her digital products Here’s what happened. I pasted in a YouTube link. AI handled the heavy lifting of clipping, editing, styling etc. It took 4 minutes to turn one old video into 12 short clips. The only manual part was that I had to click “Post” 8 times (we didn't want to post all 12) to publish the clips directly to her channel. She was skeptical at first. 48 hours later: +9,000 views +30 new subscribers +251% more views across her channel Four minutes of work from content she had already made. Now she wants to repurpose every video she’s ever uploaded. I told her to pay up. Your old content isn’t “old.” They're untapped opportunities.
