▶ What is AtmosphereConf? #
AtmosphereConf is the global conference for the atproto community, an open protocol powering Bluesky and 100s of other applications.
▶ How can I contact AtmosphereConf? #
You can reach the conference producers using our contact form.
▶ Where is the venue? #
▶ How do I get from the airport? #
The Skytrain goes to and from the airport. The most direct route is to take the Canada Line (there is only one line leaving the airport) and get out at Oakridge - 41st Avenue. Cross the street and take the R4 fast bus to the end of the line UBC Bus Exchange Bay 1, and it's a 5min walk to the Gage Suites conference hotel.
▶ How do I get around Vancouver generally? #
Vancouver's public transit is quite good. There is a fast bus to UBC along Broadway, so will take 30-40min from downtown Vancouver. Public transit is enabled with tap-to-pay that works with major credit cards, or you can buy a stored value Compass Card and use that to tap.
Uber and Lyft are both available.
▶ What kind of restaurants are around? #
There is a dinner plans channel in Roomy which is a good place to trade restaurant tips.
// hotel & accomodation

▶ What are the rooms like? #
The rooms we have reserved are Signature Suites:
Premium private studio room with queen bed, fully equipped kitchen with appliances, and washroom with shower (no bathtub). Superior bathroom and kitchenette finishes. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and LCD TV. Sleeps up to two people. Suite has air conditioning during the summer months
▶ Where is the conference hotel? #
▶ What are the details for travel support hotel stays? #
Organizers, speakers, and other community members who are having their travel supported will all be staying at Gage Suites. As part of travel support onboarding, you'll be booked into these suites. Your name and id at the front desk is all that you will need to present.
▶ Do you have other accomodation recommendations? #
Here is a Booking.com link sorted by distance to the conference venue.
Closer to downtown Vancouver, the Holiday Inn Vancouver-Centre is right on Broadway which has a fast bus line direct to the UBC campus.
