ELEVATEX aims to accelerate the ecological and digital transition of the textile industry, increase the innovation capacity of SMEs and strengthen their resilience and competitiveness in Europe and abroad. The project will also foster cross-sector and cross-regional collaboration, supporting the adoption of sustainable and advanced technologies throughout the textile value chain.

With a total budget of €2.6 million, the project will dedicate €1,980,000 to cascade funding for SMEs through two calls for proposals.

The first call, ELEVATEX, will boost business innovation across the textile value chain, dedicating a total of €600,000 to finance individual SMEs (20) to develop new products or processes (€30,000 per SME), and the second call will facilitate greater cohesion and resilience in the EU industry. Twenty consortia of two SMEs will be funded (€69,000 per consortium), distributing €1,380,000.

ELEVATEX’s strategy to boost the competitiveness and sustainability of the sector is based on three key missions:

  • Innovate for strategic autonomy, supporting the development of new textile products and services.
  • Adopting advanced technologies, promoting digitalisation and sustainable practices through cooperation between SMEs and technology providers.
  • Internationalising the European textile sector, opening doors to global markets and strengthening its international position.
ELEVATEX has received funding from the European Union through the SMP-COSME-2024-CLUSTER (Euroclusters) programme and is coordinated by Techtera (France). The consortium also includes CITEVE (Portugal), Next Technology Tecnotessile – NTT (Italy), ATEVAL (Spain) and Tèxtils.CAT (Spain), which will work together for 36 months to promote innovation, cooperation and sustainability in the European textile ecosystem.
