FT2-FTIR

The ASTG FT2-FTIR is a high-performance, fully automated FTIR gas analyzer. It is designed for continuous, real-time monitoring of many gas species. It supports industrial and environmental applications.

Based on Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, the FT2-FTIR uses broadband infrared light. It sends the light through a temperature-controlled, multi-pass gas cell. Target gases absorb specific wavelengths that match their molecular vibrational modes. A rock-solid Michelson-type interferometer modulates the IR signal. The resulting interferogram is converted into a high-resolution absorption spectrum using a Fourier transform.

Advanced Partial Least Squares (PLS) chemometric algorithms allow for accurate quantification of gas concentrations, even in complex or overlapping spectral environments. A thermoelectrically (TE) cooled mercury cadmium telluride (MCT) detector provides high sensitivity and low noise. It enables sub-ppm detection limits and fast response times.

With a spectral range of 4,300 to 750 cm-1 and resolution down to 0.8 cm-1, the ASTG FT2-FTIR can measure many gases. It can measure CO, CO2, NOX, SO2, NH3, CH4, HCl, and various VOCs at once.

The system is easy to use, with an intuitive user interface and remote access capabilities. The FT2-FTIR is designed for 24/7 unattended operation in demanding industrial environments, which makes it ideal for process control, CEMS, and regulatory compliance monitoring.
