For those of you who are new to the city, I put out a medical records form on the first of every month. Unfortunately, due to security issues, I'm going to have to ask people to come down to the hospital and fill them out in person rather than just answering over the communicators. We're sorry for the inconvenience, but despite how you may feel about doctors and hospitals, it really is in your best interests to fill this out fully and truthfully; you may think that you can afford to wait and only tell to us about some of these things should you ever need hospital assistance, but in a place like this you never know when you'll be brought in unconscious or too ill to properly give a history. For anyone worried about sensitive information getting out, I can assure you that only myself and the other doctors will be able to access your records; they will not be open to the general public.

If you've already filled this out in the past and you have had changes to your history since then, we would appreciate it if you came down and notified us as well. Thank you.

For those of you who may have noticed, two doctors from my hospital have shown up here in Discedo: Dr. James Wilson, and Dr. Greg House. As I was the one who originally hired them and have since worked with them for many years, I can personally vouch for their medical expertise. I would trust them both with my life, and I hope you will too.

Also, I figure I should make this clear before he's able to antagonize too many people: any complaints related to Dr. House can be brought to me. I know how to deal with him.

We're doing all right in the hospital so far. We have enough food, enough supplies, and hopefully enough fighters; someone shot through one of the front windows last night, but other than that there haven't been any incidents.

How's the rest of the city holding up? The communicators have been quiet.

It's seven o'clock. Whatever this thing is, it's ending in two hours. I need everyone to get to the hospital as soon as possible. If you can fight, station yourself near the outside to keep attackers from getting in. Buddy up, if you can. If you can't fight, get to the interior rooms and stay away from the windows and doors. If you're wounded, they'll be doctors on standby. If you see an unattended child or somebody else who needs help, please take them with you.

Whoever sent that message this afternoon: I know you can see this.

We aren't here by choice. We don't want to starve, or get sick, or get shot at any more than you do. We have children here, as well as elderly people, and more who can't fight or defend themselves. I'm sure your situation is dire, but so is ours.

Instead of attacking, approach us peacefully. We'll share our medicine, and our food-- you don't need to steal it. You don't need to make our situation any worse than it is, no matter how bad your own. If we work together, we can all come out of this alive.

I haven't left the hospital in days, and I've been keeping off my communicator for obvious reasons, but I need to ask-- is there any sort of safehouse for the kids, or for people who can't defend themselves? We've been doing the best we can keeping the hospital secure, but I don't have any... powers, and I'm wondering if we should start trying to get the people who can be moved someplace safer.

[the communicator clicks on suddenly, to relay a bizarre audio message-- the first thing that can be heard is Cuddy's urgent-sounding voice]

Lock down the hospital; he has a g--

[then two shots are fired in quick succession, followed by the thump of Cuddy's body as it hits the floor and the clattering of her communicator landing a few feet away from her]

[ooc: Cuddy has suffered fatal gunshot wounds from an ~*unknown assailant*~ 8( People in the hospital are welcome to have heard the shots and come to investigate, though she'll be dead by the time anyone arrives on the scene. She's outside her office area in the hospital. If people want they can use this entry to commentlog/talk to each other/godmode her body around, but I won't be responding myself.]
