The new version of the friends page is a bit odd - there's no journal customisation applied. It could be anyone's friends page!

One good thing is that filters are still available to access, for those that were worried they would disappear I presume this function will stay!

I do love LJ, but does anyone else feel like it just sucks up ALL your time. It's impossible to come on for five minutes, catch up, post etc.

I was thinking about looking into the LJ app(s) as I'm out and about a lot and it might help me keep up with everyone.

Does anyone have a direct link to a Peter/Olivia moodtheme that's fairly new? I'm up to 3x02 but will be all caught up by the end of the week anyway (can't wait).

I did a quick Google search but flailed and closed down the browser in a panic at potential spoilers. It's Monday morning I am dumb.

Any help appreciated and awarded with karma points!

Needless to say I have become obsessed with this pairing, it was inevitable I think.

ETA - I found a good animated one here by world_icons from S1 up to 2x05 but if anyone knows of a more recent one I could check out that would be fab.

I upgraded again to paid account and LJ decided it would be a good time to delete all my userpic info, right after I'd handed over my hard earned cash.

Really pissed though, because I always always credit if I snag someone else's icon and now all those credits are gone.

If you happen to recognise any of the pretty squares as belonging to someone you know, please let me know so I can properly credit them again?

And apparently posting access to comms is now FUBAR and people without permissions can post when they shouldn't be able to? Gah. Why they feel the need to mesh everything with Facebook is beyond me.

Facebook is, what I call, a Real Life site. LJ is not. LJ is my lovely little fandom home where I do not want any sort of real life interaction or fear of said interaction invading my previous fandom space.

People already think I'm a bit mental in RL, but could easily be tipped into too mental should they know how much I covet characters in TV shows and I have a theory where everyone is gay and doing it like bunnies in between scenes.

Does anyone use Gallery3, specifically with the Basket module?

Can anyone tell me why IE8 is sucking the life out of my brand spanking fabulous gallery, but it works fine in IE9 and FF4? I'm getting paid a lot of money to get this shit done and shit is not getting done while IE is being SHIT.

I just happened to catch an episode of Dawson's Creek (actually two - Tamara's Return and Full Moon Rising - er, by total accident) and none other than our Joe Flanigan was in it as the hot but eventually creepy sailor-cum-law student trying to get it on with Jen.

Oh how fandoms collide.

Am sure the SGA obsessives amongst my flist will be scoffing in the knowledge that they already knew this tidbit and I'm not sure how I didn't.

BUT HE LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME.

And does anyone else have to think twice before typing their Stargate acronyms? Like I knew I wanted to put SGA but SGU almost crept in there.

So I've been noticing in both my own journal and communities that I haven't been able to see some comments even thought it says there are more comments there than are actually showing up. Instead I'm getting a place holder that says (Spam comment) or (Suspicious comment).

Why are these showing up like this you may ask? In their rush to fight spam LJ has created a new filter that're AUTOMATICALLY TURNED ON in ALL journals and communities, which screens comments that are made with 'suspicious links' ie links that are not on their safe whitelist, so pretty much the majority of the internet. There is no noted way to add to the 'whitelist'.

What really gets me is that they didn't inform people that they were doing this until a week after it was done and that it was automatically turned on.

So how do I turn it off you might ask.

That's simple. Go to your Settings, click on the Privacy tab, and half way down where it says Spam Protection uncheck the box next to "Comments containing a link to a non-whitelisted domain will be marked as spam and moved to a special section." This applies to both personal journal and communities and the opinion has to be manually changed in each one.

While I understand how this could be a good idea, I think they went about it in a very backhanded way, and have implemented it poorly. There was no message to anyone that the link has been screened. It's automatically done. This went on for over a week before they said anything about it. There is still nothing in the FAQs about it even. The only way I found out about this way going through the support pages where people were reporting similar issues.

Marvel's The Avengers Begins Production (casting spoilers, I think).

Mostly I'm just gleeful that Joss Whedon is directing a screenplay he wrote, hoorah. And yet, somehow, I don't have a Jossverse icon to represent this fannish glee.

Instead I have chosen an Ally McBeal icon where Calista Flockhart looks strangely identical to S6 Buffy.

My TV Calendar says it is.

But I can't find it on my Sky listings and the Sky Planner is not due to record the next episode until next Saturday.

Not really much to report about this episode was there? ~~It wasn't horrid~~*...but all I really remember is that P Diddy was in it acting really badly with a gunshot wound in one scene and then fine in the next scene and that Steve apparently went for a swim with his cast on and his mobile phone in his pocket? Or something.

*ETA - Actually I've updated my mind. It was horrid. Everyone seemed bored and Kono climbed a tree and people kept mentioning religion out of no where. What was that about?

And Danno took an extended leave of absence.

I think there was an amusing Steve/Danno car ride but I'm struggling to remember. Oh yeah they had a funny convo and then drove through a gate. Highlight of the ep probably.

Bring on the next ep? In May, urgh.

Let's be honest, after last week's epicness, this week was always going to be a bit of let-down but man, seriously?

So in my infinite wisdom I've been using LJ for Mobile to post comments and having just checked a few that I'd posted, they haven't posted.

So, erm, sorry. Now it's like I haven't spoken to anyone for a week, but I have I promise!

And I can't remember all of them and I don't think the comments were crucial for world peace!

Watching the new H50 in the next hour and SGU if we have time. Wheeee!
