Goose – 2″ sq

It took me about 7 hours and I’m going to make another one.  1st reason is to see if I can adjust the sizes of the mesh.  I am thinking of my students and how they might like to make a less realistic Goose.  I also have to time myself without all the thinking – now that I know how I’m going to construct  the parts and attach them together.   The class I’m teaching is only 5 hours.  I kind of got sidetracked working the neck and head details.  The legs were one piece of wire and I was impressed that my idea worked. Its can almost hop.

Abstract - Spring 3 - SgndAbstract - Spring 2 - Sgnd Abstract - Spring 4 - Sgnd Abstract - Spring - SgndThese 4 are a sample of ideas that flowed from looking at broken ice. The Orange and Pink one was the 1st.  I used pen and brush once.  The rest were made using only the brush.  The Black, White, Grey. Blue & Ocher one is the last.  The two with the more organic lines are in the middle.

Although started from the patterns in broken ice, they also harbour a waiting for Spring.

  5. Many years ago I turned to reading Sci-Fi and haven’t looked back.
  6. Tomato soup with a large crunchy peanut butter sandwich to dip in, is soul food for me – or any pasta out there.  Simple or fantastical – I love food.
