Artikolo Getting Started Guide

This guide walks you through installing the Artikolo plugin and connecting it to your account for automated AI content generation.

Installation

From WordPress Admin

1. Go to Plugins > Add New in your WordPress admin panel
2. Search for Artikolo
3. Click Install Now, then Activate

Manual Installation

1. Download the plugin ZIP file from the Download page
2. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin in WordPress admin
3. Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now
4. Activate the plugin

Initial Setup

1. Create an Account

Visit artikolo.co.uk and create an account. You can start with a free trial to test the features.

2. Connect Your WordPress Site

In your Artikolo dashboard:

1. Navigate to WordPress Configuration
2. Enter your WordPress site URL (e.g., https://yourblog.com)
3. Enter your WordPress username
4. Enter an Application Password (generate one at Users > Application Passwords in WordPress admin)
5. Click Save WordPress Configuration

3. Configure Content Settings

Switch to the Content Generation Settings tab to set:

• Default category for generated articles
• Default tags to apply
• Target keywords for your niche

Using Artikolo

Generate an Article

1. Go to Content Tools in the dashboard
2. Enter a topic or sentence in the “Article from Prompt” section
3. Click Generate Article
4. Review the generated content
5. Publish to WordPress when satisfied

Rewrite Content from a URL

1. Paste any article URL in the “Content from URL” section
2. Click Rewrite
3. Get an original article based on the source content

SEO Autopilot

1. Go to SEO Dashboard
2. Add up to 3 competitor domains
3. Click Analyse My Site
4. Review keyword opportunities with difficulty scores
5. Select opportunities and generate targeted articles

SEO Audit

1. Go to SEO Audit Centre
2. Enter a website URL (or tick “Use connected WordPress site”)
3. Select audit type (Quick, Standard, or Deep)
4. Click Start SEO Audit
5. Review scores and recommendations

Subscription Plans

Artikolo offers tiered plans based on your content needs:

• Standard - 4 articles per month
• Premium - 30 articles per month

Troubleshooting

Connection Issues

If the WordPress connection test fails:

• Verify your site URL includes https://
• Ensure Application Passwords are enabled (requires WordPress 5.6+)
• Check that your WordPress user has Editor or Administrator role

Content Generation Issues

If article generation fails:

• Check your credit balance in the dashboard
• Ensure your subscription is active
• Try a different or more specific topic
