It sounded already too easy to be true: Instant and automated article creation. For free? No. Of all the programs I tried regarding article writing, this one offers the poorest results.
Starting with Article Assistant is easy. You have to put up with a bit of advertising to start downloading this program, but it is small, and easy to install.
After starting the program, a nice and simple work space promises easy results. Like a book, you need to start from the left upper corner of the program. There you can fill in a few words, describing the theme of your article and which keywords should be involved in your article and in your search. My first attempt was to find out which results I would get by seeking for the theme "cms review" and with keyword "joomla", a very general subject on the net with a bulk of information. Results: a few, stating nothing. I didn't even get an idea to write an article! Compared with free applications like "Article Ideas", Article Assistant proved to be poor in results. Even seeking for "free download" and "software" as keywords did not gave me any hints on writing any article. It only repeated the search string a hundred times...
But, another strategy was promising: I filled in two words without any keyword, and as general a subject as possible: software review and again: hundreds of results. But now the program offered me nearly a hundred keywords which, by dragging and dropping, could be included or excluded in the search. After dragging and dropping a bit and starting the search, I waited twenty minutes for the search to be completed and got only a few results which I could have found also by typing the theme and keywords in any search engine. In that case, I wouldn't have waited twenty minutes.
Pros
- Easy to use
- Free
- Possibility to rewrite
- drag and drop keywords
Cons
- Poor results
- Slow search
I never could get the program to work. I have contacted the developer by phone, email and in forums. I keep getting a response to not use commas in the keyword search. I have sent at least 35 emails begging for help and I get the same response: don't use commas after keywords. The problem is 34 of the emails I have enclosed a snippet image showing the error occurs without commas separating the keywords. I need the software to work even a little but I have had no success. Can anyone recommend a product that actually works and provides competent support?
