Academic Credentials
It is a Class A misdemeanor to misrepresent academic credentials. A person commits the offense of misrepresentation of academic credentials who, knowing that the statement is false and with the intent to secure employment at or admission to an institution of higher education in Tennessee, represents, orally or in writing that such person:

- Has successfully completed the required course work for and has been awarded one (1) or more degrees or diplomas from an accredited institution of higher education;
- Has successfully completed the required course work for and has been awarded one (1) or more degrees or diplomas from a particular institution of higher education; or
- Has successfully completed the required course work for and has been awarded one (1) or more degrees or diplomas in a particular field or specialty from an accredited institution of higher education.

Important Notice: The Clery Act Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available on the website of the APSU Police Department. This report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings, or property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the Clarksville, Ft. Campbell, Springfield, and Dickson campuses. It contains policies on crime reporting, alcohol/drug use, crime prevention and other matters. The report also provides information regarding fire safety and statistics. You can view this report by clicking HERE. A paper copy is available by contacting the APSU Police at (931) 221-7786.
