FL APSE 2026 Collaboration Summit
February 25-27, 2026
Join the Florida Association of People Supporting Employment (APSE) for a three-day conference dedicated to enhancing inclusive employment and career advancement for people with disabilities. This event is a prime opportunity to collaborate with a statewide network of providers, businesses, government agencies, and advocates.
Attendees will have the chance to:
Network with professionals from various sectors to foster new partnerships and strengthen existing ones.
Engage in educational sessions designed to improve service delivery outcomes for clients and families.
Connect directly with state leaders to discuss and influence key issues impacting clients, families, and providers.
This conference is a vital space for building alliances and sharing knowledge to create a more inclusive and supportive employment landscape in Florida.

State Employment First Efforts: Legislation & Directive/Executive Order
- Employment 1st Legislation (passed): The Individuals with Disabilities Act (CS/HB 7003), enacted in January 2016, established the cross-disability Employment First Act, the Financial Literacy Program for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and the FL Unique Abilities Partner Program.
- Employment First Executive Order: October 2013 Executive Order 13-284 directing state agencies to identify financing and contract methods that will prioritize employment
- FL Interagency Agreement: Interagency agreement among 9 Florida agencies to implement E1.
- Developmental Disabilities Council Employment First Statement: Statement from Florida DD Council in support of Employment First.
