Common questions
What's the difference between the standard and "no extensions" builds?
The standard build includes Apollo's app extensions — the share sheet action, widgets and the iMessage sticker pack. These are great, but they count toward the app limit imposed by some free sideloading setups, and a few signing tools struggle with them.
The "no extensions" build strips those out so the app installs as a single target. If you sideload with a free Apple ID, hit issues installing the full build, or simply don't need the extras, choose "no extensions". Everything else about the app is identical.
Will I still get updates if I'm not on the Liquid Glass build?
For now, yes — every build receives the same updates. Down the line, some features may rely on newer iOS 26 APIs and could end up requiring the Liquid Glass build. If that ever happens, we'll let you know clearly before anything changes.
Can I still get push notifications?
Yes, but it takes some setup. Push notifications require a paid Apple Developer account ($99/year) and you'll need to self-host the notification backend yourself. It's not plug-and-play, but everything you need is documented.
See the push notifications setup guide to get started.
How can I support the project?
Apollo Reborn is free and made by volunteers. If you'd like to give back, several of the developers have Buy Me a Coffee links right inside the app — it's the easiest way to say thanks and help keep things going.
Can I submit my own Liquid Glass icon?
We're still working out a proper submission process for community icons. In the meantime, we'd love to see what you make — share your designs on the subreddit at r/apolloreborn.
