Others seem to linger long after we’ve finished the final page.

This conversation was inspired by my review of The Housemaid series by Freida McFadden, but it quickly became something broader than a book discussion. While reflecting on Millie’s story, I found myself thinking about trust, survival, healing, and the way past experiences continue to influence how we see the people and situations around us.

Why is it sometimes harder to trust peace than it is to survive chaos? How do we tell the difference between intuition and fear? And what happens after we’ve made it through difficult chapters of life?

Rather than focusing on plot twists, this episode explores the questions that stayed with me after the books were finished. It’s a reflection on the stories we carry, the memories that shape us, and the quiet ways fiction can sometimes reveal something true about being human.

If you’ve ever finished a book and found yourself thinking about it days later, this conversation might resonate with you.

https://wisdomlibrary.substack.com/p/why-we-ignore-ourselves-until-something-feels-wrong

Thank you for taking the time to listen and reflect with me.

If you found this episode meaningful or useful, I’d truly appreciate it if you could share it with others.
