Problem with winxp installation of wamp
Installed easyphp 1.7 to install apache, mysql and php, and get either a dns error, gateway error or a server 500 error on trying to load http://localhost, http://127.0.0.1 or http://thecomputer.
I set both apache and mysql to run as services and that didn't fix the problem.
It might be something in the router setup as I don't access the net directly, or it might be something in in xp. I only just installed xp for the first time, and have easyphp 1.6 working well on a 98se system, so it's more likely to be xp.
There are no error messages in apache itself, it just doesn't work.
Any clues or directions to investigate would be appreciated. (Easyphp's site didn't have any info and I've been googling for two hours now with no luck.)
