10:40pm: Yes, clearly I haven't been getting adequate zzzs and it's coming back to bite me. It meant I was pretty lackluster at work today, although with no items coming in with the run up to the end of the financial year there isn't a lot going on right now TBH. Although as I wrote that out I remembered that we're meant to clean one shelf in the library a day - taking all the books off and cleaning it, checking for grubby items and all this jazz. The idea is that this keeps the library looking clean and tidy, but I've totally been slacking on that - it's been busy, except of course now it's not so busy. In other news, I can't find my bus pass, which is bad news because it means I have to use my credit card which means I don't get the discount towards the end of the week. I thought maybe I left it at the office, but no luck, then I hoped maybe it fell out my Pusheen wristlest and would be on my bed when I got home, but no sign of it :O( So unless it's in my co-worker's car or I come across it when I walk to the bus stop tomorrow (very unlikely), I have indeed lost it. Which sucks because I kept it in a Pusheen bus pass case which I'm quite sure you can't purchase anymore. Plus I have to get a new opal card. Sigh. Anywho, it's almost 11pm, so if I going to get a decent night's sleep I better wrap this up! Ta-ta! Hunger

10:25pm: I'd score way below expectations, no seriously I suck so hard at these performance review things, particularly this time around because I managed to get a headache just before the meeting. I also forgot to properly link my activities to the what was written in the assessment, so the Library Manager though I hadn't done half the stuff I was supposed to have. SO yeah, basically I need to be more proactive and less distractible, which is easier said than done. Also, the headache is still there, I'm starting to wonder if the supermarket brand ibprofen isn't as strong as the Chemist stuff - I don't think so, but it's annoying. Of course the headache could also be from a lack of sleep, which means I shouldn't be updating so late, but you know me. Anyway, not much else to report - although I finally got an Eggplant costume in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, which is very exciting indeed! I was able to make my sim from the Eggplant Generation of a Legacy Challenge I'm doing. I also got a hockey outfit at some point and since I'm now one of those people who have read Heated Rivalry I decided to make one of the main characters from that book - apparently it's his birthday today so that was funny. OK, good news is my headache seems to be settling down, so I'm getting the heck outta her to sleep. Ta-ta! Hunger

8:53pm: OK, some I'm writing this early in the hopes it'll encourage me to do the thing - which is writing up stuff for my Performance Review tomorrow. As mentioned yesterday I considered going to the library after Archery today, but my plan went awry because I decided to go to the Dee Why Library. I had unfortunately forgotten that it doesn't open until 1pm on Sundays - and it was only 11:30am. I mean, I could have gone to the Mall Library after that, but I didn't feel like it. And now here we are coming up on 9pm and I haven't written anything yet. Sigh! Have I mentioned before that I totally hate these reviews? 'Cause I totally do. I never know what to say. In more pleasing news, despite rainy weather I totally blew my previous PB for the 30 m on an 80cm target face outta the water. We're talking more than 200 points better! Although considering how low my scores were today I must have really screwed up the last time I tried to shoot it! And oh dear...I could distracted - as I do - and it's now almost 9:30pm, ugh, maybe I should write off the Performance Review stuff at just head into work early tomorrow and do it there? Which means I should get to bed at a decent hour especially since I didn't have the best night's sleep last night. I am debating if I should play some Sims 4 before it gets too late...I did manage to do some yesterday (and I made sure to save LOL), but this could cause issues in terms of getting to bed on time. Eh, I'll wrap this up here with the Meme! The Friday FiveThese questions were written by Dreamwidth user archersangel, who used a random letter generator, for random questions. 1. What is place you have visited, or want to visit, that starts with D? Well...it'd be fun to visit Dublin in Ireland - where some of my ancestors came from - not to mention it's called the Emerald Isle and my favourite colour is green :O) 2. What is a food that you like, or don't like, that starts with R? Well, I got nothing against rice? I can't actually think of any other foods starting with R, LOL. 3. Own anything that starts with the letter M? Ummm, I have a mouse - the computer kind, it's pink. I wanted a green one, but they didn't have them, which was a shame. 4. Know anyone whose name (first, middle, or last) that starts with N? I do indeed! I saw them just last weekend. 5. Favorite movie, book, TV show, or song whose title starts with T? Well, I did very much enjoy Torchwood, or at least the two seasons of it - Children of Earth and the other one weren't my faves, they got too serious. OK, and now I'm off! Ta-ta! Hunger

11:43pm: Considering the time neither is good, but yeah it's rather annoying, my stomach has felt weird all day, but I do feel better when I eat so...I dunno? Although I've just remembered I haven't eaten my usual go-to cure, a slice of buttered bread. It's like 15 minutes to midnight so I'm not sure if I should do that. In other news, the archery did not go so well today :O( I don't know if there's something wrong with my bow since I've changed the limbs (like it's not properly lined up for me) or if it was stomachache or the stupid itchiness. But I did not get a PB :O( and I definitely didn't win anything LOL. However, there's more archery tomorrow, which means I shouldn't be staying up late. In other news, I'm wondering if I should go to the library tomorrow to finish up my Performance Review, I was supposed to get it in on Friday - I totally forgot that it's meant to be submitted before the meeting not at the meeting. The meeting in question was originally on Monday morning, however the boss has kindly moved it to the afternoon - but I'm supposed to submit the review first thing in the morning. Which I totally can't do because I haven't finished writing it up yet! So I dunno... Dr Gluon will be doing his stream and I don't want to miss that. But this is work related, so I should probably suck it up. Also, I bought Calamine lotion because I remember that it's really good for itchiness, and indeed it is. Alas the itchiness is still there when it wears off...I wonder if I should go back to my doctor's for it... and ask for a new referral for the blood test I'm supposed to get, but can't because I can't find said referral. Shakes head. Right, I better be off! Hunger

11:39pm: Ugh, the itching has returned with avengeance and I'm rather worried to be honest. Like are the cockroaches biting me? Do I have bed bugs somehow? Or have the previous bites set off some weird allergy issue? Is that even a thing that can happen? Anyway, in better news, I finally caught up with Ghosts today! For the past few weeks the website I use to watch it (because it hasn't come out on free to air TV here) hasn't been able to play them - something about resources not been available or something. But yes, I have seen it and the cliff hanger is so cliffy! It's gonna suuuuck having to wait for Season 6, I have high hopes though. And I've just noticed the time, I guess I gotta wrap this up, after all it's archery tomorrow, and we're doing an inter-club shoot, well kind of, the other club in question isn't actually joining us, but our scores will be up against theirs, so that will be interesting. It'll be the same shoot as last Sundays, hopefully I can get another PB. Finally, I got to play Sims 4 tonight, only for the game to crash after I hadn't saved in a while... because I forgot the cardinal rule of playing Sims, shakes head. Right, I'll do the Meme tomorrow, for now... Ta-ta! Hunger

11:27pm: Right so I totally planned to play Sims today, it's been some days and I want to continue my games, but I decided I'd do a quick bit of Power Wash Sim, which I could have done because there first job was super quick, then I made the mistake of going to the next job, which was not a quick one. I should have left part way through, but once you get going... So yeah, no Sims. It's also rather late and I need to get my butt to bed. In other news, I need to do my annual performance review, because I'm pretty sure I'm having a meeting with the Library Manager to go over it as it's due by the end of the financial year. I absolutely hate this review, it's such a pain in the butt, it's like...why do I have to tell you that I've done my job? I feel like it'd be really obvious if I hadn't? It takes ages to type up and then you have to rate yourself, but as if you'd rate yourself super highly or super lowly. I did once rate myself as exceeds expectations because I thought i had, only to be told, nope. So that was embarrassing. Haha, I was just going into Wordle and there was an ad...for a Power washer XD Hilarious. And I just got the Wordle in three guesses, so yeah go me. On a final note, the building manager sent an email yesterday - the building is getting bug sprayed next week (I think?) Hmpf, I wonder if my email was the impetus? It would be pretty annoying if it was because he never answered my email and ended up getting someone else in - but they turned out to be cheaper, so go me. Speaking of the pests though, I'm worried that I'm going to have to have the man come back, which means I'll have to clean out my kitchen cupboards, sigh that won't be a pain in the ass. Especially when it comes to the pantry. Let's hope that can be avoided, fingers crossed! Ta-ta! Hunger

11:31pm: Shoot, it's late, I meant to update this like an hour ago, but you know me... Anyway, the good news is, I did indeed leave my handbag at work, along with my sunglasses, so no need to worry about lost wallets. Apart from that I don't have much else to report, I'm currently at the parental home since it's Wednesday night, Mum and I have caught up on our shows, much laughing has been done. Now I can only hope the Lite n Easy comes on time tomorrow. I totally forgot to check the roster so hopefully I'm not on first thing tomorrow - I'd assume not since I was on the closing shift, but sometimes work does weird things. Well, I still need to do my Duolingo before going to bed so I'm gonna wrap this up here. 10:46pm: Also too late to play them seeing as it is a work night, although I'm on the closing shift tomorrow so that means I get to go in an hour later than normal. I should probably take that opportunity to catch up on a few more zzzs though. Not much to report today, except that I (hopefully) left my handbag at work today...I know I bought it in this morning, but I didn't have it when I got home. I should maybe be more concerned about this, but like I said, I'm pretty sure I left it at work. Oh I almost forgot that I do have something to report...there was Random Drug & Alcohol Testing at work today, this last happened 3 years ago and at that time I volunteered to get tested. This time they had picked employees at the library randomly...and for some reason I was again on the list! What's the deal with that? They swore it was random though, so off I went to the rather suspicious looking van (it didn't even have a logo on it! Which I guess is for privacy reasons, but still). Now, I take dexamphetamine for my ADHD, which will apparently show up on the drug test - except I forgot to take the tablet this morning, so it in fact did not. Well played me :OP It was also gym day, although for some reason while I was on the bike I kept getting a sore left hip and needing to stop. My hip is fine now, so no idea what that was all about. Right, as I said, I need to get my butt to bed, so... Ta-ta! Hunger

11:07pm: Whoops, I've only just noticed the time here, better make this quick! It was the King's Birthday Holiday today, which meant a day off. As I mentioned yesterday (I think) my friend Ben invited me to lunch at his house, which I hadn't seen before, it's about a forty minute drive which is longer than I usually drive places. I was a little nervous and my Google Maps seemed to take me in a very roundabout way but I got there! So yes, not only does Ben have a house, he's doing some big renovations, including a pool out pack, nice. Wonder if there'll be any pool parties this summer LOL. Lunch was yummy, there was roast potatoes, rice and fish (not sure what kind of fish actually, could I have had - gasp! - salmon?!) and for dessert we had a cake that Ben wanted to try to see if he wanted it at the wedding. It was a taro cake with purple frosting and most delicious indeed, so it looks like it'll be on the menu. But yes, Tina (my friend who got married on Saturday), her husband and my friend from Wales were there too along with Boyfriend Ben, so a good time was had by all. I shared some photos of my Japan trip from last year since I'm pretty sure I never actually shared them! I should show them my photo album some time.(Did I ever finish writing in all the info for those, hmmm) I wonder when we can meet up again - Ben is actually going away soon to some medical conferences overseas - but maybe my friend from Wales and I can meet up with another friend of ours who we haven't seen in ages. I did talk to Bec earlier this year, but we never did get around to meeting, but an effort must be made. Anyway, I better head off now, the book return situation is always crazy after a long weekend so it's all hands on deck tomorrow and I don't wish to be late! I am however starting to worry that the cockroach situation is not clearing up :O( soon it'll be one week since the spraying and I've still got bites on me. I do wonder though if that's some other bug...because cockroaches don't really bite humans unless they're really desperate or the infestation is really, really bad (like way worse than mine). If that's the case though I have no idea what sort of bugs they are, so I have no idea what I'd tell the pest spray guy. Hopefully whatever they use to treat cockroaches, treat's whatever the Hell these things are. On that note, I gotta dash! Hunger

11:11pm: Well, considering the time this probably shouldn't be surprising, but I think it's also due to the ultra long archery shoot - 144 arrows - that I did end up going to do today as I woke up feeling much better this morning. I have to say I felt like I was doing pretty badly, but to my surprise I got a PB! I don't actually remember ever having done this shoot before, not to mention my new score was the rather lucky sounding 777. Although there wasn't very many people at the shoot today, I'm not sure if that was because of the super long shoot or because tomorrow is a Public Holiday, which means most people don't have to work and schools are out. Speaking of which, I can't remember if I mentioned this last entry - I probably did - but Ben has invited me (and other friends persumely) to his house tomorrow. Which reminds me that I still haven't got hold of a Sat Nav for my car...Unfortunately, there's no way of getting one by tomorrow, so I guess I'll have to use my mobile phone tomorrow, although, I don't actually have a cradle or anything to put said phone in, so that'll suck. Anywho, I can't write too much more because I need to get those zzzs. I should mention though that I had lunch after the archery with Mum, Dad and the Little Bro, it was roast pork and was delicious :O) On a final note, I gave in to temptation and bought Powerwash Simulator 2 which is on sale at the moment (although not by a lot, LOL) but hey when you don't go out to restaurants, or drink booze you can afford this kind of stuff. I hope... And now I say, ta-ta! Hunger

8:21pm: Yes! Today was my friend's wedding party, which meant I saw nearly all of my old friends again, including one who lives all the way over in Wales now (who I don't think I've seen in...5 years or more). A real blast from the past and once again a reminder for me to make more an effort to see the friends who do live in the same city as me, even if they are like half an hour away LOL. What isn't so LOL was the terrible digestive issues I had this morning - it was most unpleasant and alas I believe I've found the culprit - it seems I can no longer eat BBQ flavoured crisps. I bought some yesterday because they were half price and I do like them - but not so much now, after the stomach pains and bathroom related issues. I managed to get my hair done, good thing it was just a wash and blow dry since that took less than hour as opposed to like 3 hours for the straightening treatment. I then went to the supermarket for some things and got some Buscopan for my digestive system, I took one, but unfortunately, it didn't seem to have much of an effect discomfort wise. The big test came with driving out to Macquarie Park to where the party was, it's about a forty minute drive, which honestly isn't that long, but for me it felt like it would take forever. None of my friends live on this side of the city anymore, so I couldn't hitch a ride and while I did give myself plenty of time to get there, it was a real struggle. Fortunately, I was able to call Mum and have her talk me over, although there was some pulling over, general groaning from pain and then a wrong turn...but in the end I got to the place. However! As indicated in my subject heading, it was so much fun seeing my friends again! :OD There were quite a few people at the party who I hadn't met, but our group didn't really mingle because we were all catching up with each other. There was one extra addition to the group, my friend Ben's boyfriend - also called Ben. They're actually getting married too in a couple of months time. Which means my friend from Wales is staying out here until then. Hooray! Plus this Monday is a public holiday, which means no work - Ben is having a get together at his house which he's invited me along too, I haven't seen his house before, so that should be cool. It does mean more driving though...but with any luck the affects of the BBQ crisps will be long gone. Anyway, my digestive system settled down enough so that I was able to have some food at the party along with the delicious wedding cake (it was a very impressive wedding cake, two tiers, one Oreo chocolate and one vanill, yum!) My friend - the bride - looked super stylish, and as I discovered my friend from Wales was the one who made her wedding dress! All the way from the other side of the world, which is very impressive! She's a costumier over there, so is super talented at making clothes. Unlike the time I made some clothes for myself...they held together but were all quite lopsided in the end, whoops. There was even a cape to go with dress, which I didn't actually see, but the bride wore it in the morning for the actual wedding at the Registry. I was about to type something else, but it's gone out of my head now...Oh! I did manage to get to church, although I was late and Mum and Dad had found someone to do the Powerpoint, they did quite a good job too (it's not a hugely difficult thing to do, although I guess you need to be on the ball). Finally, I was planning on going to archery tomorrow morning, but looking at the event I'm not sure what I'm supposed to sign up for - scratches head - and not many people seem to be there. On the downside, I won't be able to go on Monday (that's because I'll be at lunch at my friends place though, so that's an upside!) although taking a look it seems they're doing a special shoot that day for Clout anyway. I am however, very tired - not sure if that's digestive related or once again from not going to bed at a decent hour throughout the week, maybe both - so perhaps I should write off Archery this weekend. I could try going on Wednesday evening. That's way too much thinking for me know though :OP so I shall wrap up here. Congrats to my friend on her wedding day! Ta-ta! Hunger

11:10pm: For my friend's Wedding Lunch thing which is on tomorow so I've left it kind of late because I'm not sure exactly what to draw on the card...I don't know my friend's husband-to-be very well to the extent that I don't know what he looks like LOL... So yeah, not sure what to do with the card, I was thinking of doing something with a red lucky envelope, but I don't rate my chances at being able to replicate Chinese symbols, I mean I could just draw some hearts on it, but that sounds a bit lazy. Having said that though, I'm getting my hair washed and blow dried straight tomorrow morning for the lunch, so I don't have time to do anything now, perhaps inspiration will hit while I'm in hairdressing chair. Before I head off though, here's... The Friday Five5/6/26
BooksThese questions were written by canadiangirl16 on LJ. 1. Do you enjoy reading? I sure do! Although my attention span is not what it used to be so I can't do it as much as I used to. 2. What is the first book you remember reading? It was a picture book from the library called Annie the Invisible Girl, about a girl who lived between the towns of Greenville and Blueville and was bullied because she was neither until she cried herself invisible. She then made sure that none of the pranks the children of each village were planning to do against each other happened until eventually peace was made between the groups. I loved that book! And the weirdest thing happened, just before we moved the book was lost and we paid for the replacement, but then when we arrived at our new house like 600km away the book reappeared! Not sure how that happened, we found it in my brother's bunkbeds so maybe I somehow dropped it in there. 3. Who is your favourite author? I really enjoy Sue Townsend's Adrian Mole series. I also really love Jane Austen's work. 4. What is your favourite book? I'll cheat and say Adrian Mole: From Minor to Major which contains 3 of the Adrian Mole books ;O) <>5. What is the last book you read and the first you'll read next?</i> I just finished reading a romance book called In A New York Minute and now I've just begun Heated Rivalry LOL. Right on that note, I gotta run! Ta-ta! Hunger

11:36pm: From the Pest Control company, I only just noticed the SMS with the invoice attached today and I haven't paid it yet because I was walking when I saw it. But yeah, I gotta get onto that... Not much else to report except that like clockwork now that the parental units are back in town the Lite n Easy came late, almost 8:30am! In fact I'd actually left the parental abode when I saw the delivery van driving up the street so had to turn around and go back to grab it. I'm glad I didn't have to inconvenience Mum - who would have had to have brought it over in the evening, but it did mean I was like half an hour late to work. I didn't have any desk shifts today though, so at least I didn't need to worry about that. So I'm now back in the apartment and somewhat unfortunately, there's still bug activity, although hopefully it's like their last gasps or something. I guess I could empty my cabinets and clean the Hell out of them myself in the hopes that'll chase off the rest of them. Although I'm going to busy over the weekend or at least on Saturday what with my friend's wedding reception which reminds me that I need to make a card for them. But I gotta run, since it's like 10 minutes to midnight and I have to get my zzzs! Ta-ta! Hunger

11:08pm: I'm currently at the parental units for the night as I've ordered Lite 'n' Easy - which will hopefully show up at a decent time and also because the pest control man came by today to spray the cockroaches. There was a bit of mess up because he put my apartment number rather than the number of my building into his GPS so it took him a while to find me and I'm still not sure exactly where he parked, but eventually he got into the apartment and was able to check things out. Interestingly, according to him the bugs were not coming out of the hole in the wall - which thinking on it makes sense since I've lived in this place for 7 years and never had any bugs coming out of that hole. Instead they've made the hole their base of operations after getting into my apartment some other way, who knows how! The man suggested it could have been on some envelope or something, which is actually the same thing a co-worker of mine suggested. I'm trying to think of anything I ordered in December - since the bugs actually first showed up at that time - but nothing is coming to mind. Anyway, he sprayed all the nooks and crannies - note to self, rinse all plates before use! And said to keep an eye on developments over the next two weeks. If they're still around I'll have to clear out all my kitchen cabinets and he'll need to come back. That reminds me...I didn't have to pay him and I also didn't get a phone call about paying... I better go and check that! I'm sure they've charged me something. Apart from that, not much else to report - work wasn't super busy and the patrons had actually all left the library before 6pm! I don't think I've ever seen that before, usually someone will try and come in last minute. Guess we got lucky! Anywho, I need to do my Duolingo, so I shall be off now! Ta-ta! 11:24pm: I have to make this quick - but tomorrow is P-Day - Pest Control Day - which I have everything crossed rids me of this bug problem. Sadly, I've been bitten again - which seriously sucks, because the previous bites were finally starting to clear up. Oddly enough, the bugs only seem to attack my right leg, not sure why. I've been using the cream, but I think I need to bust out the Claretyne again because the itchiness is not going away and I keep scratching at them! Moving along, the apartment cleaning is...er...OK...it wouldn't pass muster with Mum but fortunately, she doesn't have to come over tomorrow morning since I'm on the closing shift as I mentioned. Still, I really need to make sure the kitchen zone is tidy at least. I've just remembered though, I used the drain unclogging gel on my bathroom sink and I haven't run the hot water through to finish the process, whoops! I better go do that now, ASAP. Wish me luck tomorrow. Ta-ta! Hunger

10:53pm: No, I'm not at the airport, but the SydSquad guys are down there filming and since the curfew starts at 11pm, all the taxi drivers are trying to get out there. There has to be about 40 of them...and they don't seem to have a system for leaving the parking lot, I wonder how long it'll take them to all get free? In other news, the cockroaches have reared their ugly heads again - it's definitely that hole where the cable for the apartment's internet router is, and it looks like a new generation has just shown up D: I might need to start taking the anti-histamines again, because even with the cream I'm itchy. Stupid cockroaches...I really hope the pest controller can take them down. Speaking of...I had a half day today, but I haven't really cleaned my place...sigh! I do have tomorrow evening to get onto it, which I guess is the sort of prod I need. I'm trying to figure out if I need to pack my plates away though - I think I mentioned before that all of the preparing for spraying, one makes sure to keep all the cupboard doors shut. But since the bugs are in the cupboards surely I can't do that. In which case where do I put them? Maybe in the winter garden which - fingers crossed - remains bug free. Getting away from the bug situation, I'm rather bummed to discover that I can't seem to get my screenshots of Tomodachi Life off my Switch. I could have sworn I read somewhere that you could? But I can't seem to figure it out, or rather my Switch tells me I'm not allowed to use social media. I wonder if the child lock is on or something? I wouldn't have thought so, it had been factory re-set but maybe I did something. It's very annoying though because I want to show my fellow Ghost fans my Ghost Miis! I may have to take a photo on my phone if I can't figure it out, LOL. On that note, I gotta dash, it's that time o' the month so I've been half falling asleep all night, though I seem to be getting a second wind now which is most unnecessary. Ta-ta! Hunger

11:28pm: Yeah, I know, where the Hell is the year going?! It's hard to believe that this time last year Mum and I were seeing the sights of Japan, hopping on Shinkansens and seeing all sorts of things... If I remember correctly this would have been our last night in Hiroshima before moving onto Kyoto. I could check this in the journal I kept of the trip, but it's getting late and I have work tomorrow. Anywho, it was another busy day for me, I went to Archery this morning - it was the monthly handicap shoot, alas any hopes I had of possibly winning a portable chair were dashed. I'm having a lot of trouble with my sight settings lately...it didn't help I started out on the left hand side of the target. My arrows tend to go to the left, so I usually stand on the right side to compensate, but you can't always decide what side you're on so I thought I'd give it a go. But yeah, not so good. I'm a bit worried that my bow might be out of kilter with the new limbs, I had to get one adjusted because I was having trouble taking it off. Now, I still have trouble taking it out, but other people are able to do it, so I can only assume my weak arms are the problem. Grumble, grumble. Still, I got better as the shoot went on, so even though I didn't get a PB, there was still some good news. After that, I went home briefly before going out to lunch with my friend Lara, I don't usually go out to lunch so that was a treat! We had grilled chicken at a place called Charcoal Charlies and then went to a cafe for hot chocolate and matcha. After that we went for a walk, since the weather was super nice, although not to anywhere exciting, just the supermarket near my apartment. I'm also going to busy next weekend because one of my friends is (has?) gotten married and are having a party to celebrate the event next Saturday. Then a few weeks later another friend is also getting married - I better check the exact date on that... OK, before I run - here's the Meme The Friday Five29/5/261. In an average week, how many nights do you eat home-cooked dinners? Pretty much all of them, because I'm a cheap skate :OP Although...thinking about it, I'll sometimes have only a very light dinner, so it's not like I do anything exceptional. 2. Do you plan your meals out in advance, or just wing it? Just wing it mostly...I don't have a lot of meals in my repetoire so it's not like a have too many choices to make LOL. 3. How many nights per week do you eat out or order food delivered? Well technically I often go over to my parents house on Wednesday night, so you could call that eating out - but it's a home cooked meal so not quite. I also often have Sunday lunch with them too. 4. Do you keep a stock of nonperishable foods from which you could whip up a meal or two if you needed to? Kind of? I keep what I call an emergency sausage roll in the freezer which I can heat up in the microwave if I don't feel like cooking anything. I also mean to have some packet Alfredo in the pantry, but I often forget to keep that in supply. 5. Have you ever tried preparing meals for the week all at once, say, on the weekend? Not really, although I can get 6 serves out of one lasagna, so that's the closest I've got to doing that. On that note, I'm off! Ta-ta! Hunger

10:47pm: Yes indeed! This morning while I was eating breakfast the library manager texted me because one of the people who works the whole Saturday shift had called in sick - and the other person is actually a casual so doesn't have the keys to get into the library. The long and short of it, while my shift is supposed to be 10am-1:30pm, the library manager asked if I could come in by 9:30am so the library could be opened. This is where living so close to work is an advantage because I was able to get there in time, hooray! :OD It did look like the Library Manager would have to come in, but he managed to get two casuals in to fill in for the second person so crisis averted. Even more so because yesterday the entire library PC, Printing and Photocopying system went down and it was still down at the end of the day and Saturday is a Justice of the Peace day, which means people need to photocopy and/or print stuff to be signed. Thankfully, everything back online today so everyone was able to get their stuff done, also after many days of rain it was nice and sunny today so it was actually very quiet in the library. Anyway, because I was in half an hour earlier I also left half an hour earlier. Now usually I go to the gym after working on Saturday, but since I drove in to get there in time, I left because as a member of staff I get 4 hours free parking, but with 3.5 already down I didn't want to have to pay $6. Finally, I had an appointment at 3:50pm at the pharmacy across the street for my flu shot, which went well, although I have a bit of a headache at the moment, which might be related, or maybe not. On the plus side I think my arm is OK, sometimes it hurts afterwards. Let's hope I don't wake up with it sore tomorrow because I've signed up for Archery so it'll suck if I have to pull out. OK, now I must be off! Ta-ta! Hunger

11:39pm: No indeed, I have my Saturday three and a half hour shift tomorrow, which means I've left starting this entry way too late. I had a busy evening though as Mum and Dad have arrived home from their month long trip and I went to their house for dinner. The little bro drove them home, but as it turned out I didn't need to drive him home as Mum and Dad are letting him keep their car at least for the next day. Dinner was Chinese which included Honey Chicken, delicious and there was some left over that I can have for lunch tomorrow. Good stuff. Mum and Dad also bought a gift, a coin purse with a Jane Austen from Mansfield Park regarding money which was very apt indeed! Oh I almost forgot, I've booked in my flu shot for tomorrow afternoon, here's hoping I won't end up with a sore arm because that would be most unfortunate. Anyway, I better go. Ta-ta! Hunger

11:23pm: Yes, I've been meaning to play Sims 4 more so I can really get into Squashington's part of the legacy but instead I've been messing around with Tomodachi Life, I haven't got around to uploading any of the screenshots I've taken! But of added most of the Ghosts, created a Woodstone Mansion and McFly house along with various kinds of outfits to make the Miis look more like themselves. Right, in other news, I only realised this morning that for some reason I thought last night was Sunday or something, very odd. Not much else to report, although things are continuing with the Community Library and the underspent budget, with any luck I'll have enough books to order. In other news, I need to cut my nails again, how the Hell do they grow so fast! Maybe it's all the cheese... Oh and I didn't look at my phone properly during lunch so I didn't realise I missed a call from the air conditioner people until after I finished work and then it was too late :O( They said they'd be in the area on Monday but I needed to call and confirm. Having said that...I rather worried that cockroaches might be inside the air conditioning unit, in which case I should get that fixed before having some poor technician open the front panel and get a nasty shock. Stupid bugs. On a final note, there was much hilarity this afternoon when while playing a game Dr Gluon discovered it had mature themes, thinking about it though, we probably should have suspected since said game's title is L.A Noir, but yeah safe to say no-one was expecting full frontal nudity! O.O Let's just say Doc's jacket came in handy at hiding stuff. Poor guy though, LOL. Oh! And I almost forgot! Mum and Dad are now back in Aussieland! They're in Perth on the opposite side of the country at the moment, but the last leg of the journey is tomorrow and they'll be back in Sydney tomorrow evening. My little bro is going to pick them up and then we'll meet at their place for Chinese food after which I'll be driving my bro home. Right oh, off I go! Ta-ta! Hunger

10:19pm: So I bought Paralives yesterday without actually reading the requirements, because I'm ding-dong and I figured my Gaming laptop would be good enough for it. Spoiler alert - it is not D: But I've only just realised it and I've already played 4 hours! (Some aspects of the game work fine, like the Paramaker so I spent a whole lot of time doing that before actually playing the game and then the laaaaagggg started) Steam will give refunds, but I think you have to play less than 2 hours. Apparently, the creators have said they'll optimise the game which I guess means it'll be able to play on not as good systems, but there's no plan for when that'll happen. I guess I could try turning the settings down and seeing how that works. Seriously though, remember to check your specs guys! Moving on, I got to the parentals right on time although the washing machine repair guy didn't show up until 11:30-ish, but that was OK since I bought an egg, muffin and my little egg frying pan and made breakfast over there. The dentist also went well, although they had different kind of fluoride and it was so sour tasting, ick! But my teeth are in good shape and I just need to come again in six months, hooray! In more unfortunate news, I have not cleaned up my house, sigh, I really need to get onto that. But hey in exciting Tomodachi news my George and Lorraine Miis got married! The funniest thing though, was because I kept failing the proposal game thing, George ended up proposing himself while Lorraine was trying to proposing to him! LOL. I wonder if the same will happen with Pam and BoxFort... Anywho, I better wrap this up, it's back to work tomorrow! Ta-ta! Hunger

11:15pm: I neglected to mention in yesterday's entry about the work crisis I found myself in - we have some community libraries - they mostly run themselves, but one of them receives funds to buy books from the Council. I was put in charge of making the order from the selections they send to us and I'm meant to keep an eye on the budget. Well, I made sure that they didn't spend way too much on books, but in doing so I didn't really keep track of the budget even though I had a spreadsheet and it turned out they've underspent...by a fair amount and if that money isn't used up it disappears! D: As you can imagine this is quite a fuck-up and I was panicking about what I was going to do about it, I talked with one my colleagues - or rather I blurted out all my worries and wondered if we could go and purchase books from the bookshop downstairs - which we used to do for them. As it happens we couldn't do that, but our library supplier does fortunately have a limited supply of books in their warehouse and they sent me a list which I've sent onto the person at the community library so they can select enough of them so the the budget is spent. Phew, wipes brow. Hopefully this won't look too terrible on my performance review, fingers crossed! Anywho, tomorrow I have the day off, however I did stay at my apartment so I need to move my butt tomorrow morning to make sure I get to the parental abode by 7:30 am to let the washing machine man in. Also, they're turning off the water in my apartment building tomorrow so even if the man comes early I'll be sticking around until it's back on. On a final note I spoke to the parental units who are leaving Italy in 20 hours and heading for home - via Perth so they won't arrive back until Friday evening. So that's pretty exciting! :OD I have to see if my little bro wants to pick them up from Manly - although if he does I'm supposed to drive him home (since he's been using one of my parents cars while they've been away). Right on that note, I better run! Ta-ta! Hunger

11:24pm: As in aiming at stuff, I had two chances to get my George and Lorraine Miis to get married in Tomodachi Life and I messed up both of them! You have to play a mini-game to get the proposal to and wedding to actually happen, which is like a shooting game with hearts and since I'm not very co-ordinated I can't get past the last level of it. I wonder how many times I'm going to have to try it! In other news, I had to buy a power adaptor for the Switch since it didn't actually come with one (one of my work colleagues thinks that means its stolen property, which I sure hope isn't the case because yikes...), it sure charges quickly which is great! What's not so great is I think I'm still getting bitten by cockroaches because I'm still itchy! D: I'm thinking I'll take my anti-histamine in the morning rather than at night. The cream does work pretty well, but I can only use it twice a day, so when it wears off it sucks. I was going to say something else, but I've forgotten what now - oh wait, on Wednesday I have the day off work because I have to be available to let the washing machine repairman in at my parents house. Problem is, I'm not sure I want to stay over there all by myself tomorrow night, it gets chilly there and all my stuff is here at my place. Thing is, the repair guy could show up at any time between 7:30 and 12pm (isn't that always the way, grumble, grumble) which means if I don't stay over there I'll have to get up pretty early in the morning. Anyway, I better wrap it up here, I have to get to bed and I still need to put on the cream. Ta-ta! Hunger

11:36pm: Good news! I forgot that I had some arrow points from a couple of my arrows that were broken beyond repair, which means I had points to replace the two I lost yesterday, hooray! Despite the weather being damp, the tournament still went ahead, which was great! Especially the barbeque afterwards, one of the members of the club is French and made some very posh sausage sandwiches for us :O) I also didn't finish on the last target this time! Which was a bit sad because the lucky loser prize was an archery target bucket hat, not to mention a small bit of money! Still, it's good to improve :O) Apart from that not much to report, with the weather being rather crappy, I spent the rest of the day at home watching Dr Gluon on Twitch, he's been playing Paralives, the new life simulation game, it's in Early Access and looks really interesting! I wonder if I should purchase it...I have been buying a lot of games lately and there's only so many hours in the day. I did at least do one thing, which was replace the elastic straps on a number of my masks which have become all un-elasticised after multiple wears. I am a bit worried that my sewing machine - which I bought second hand for like $25 many years ago - is starting to die, but it might just be the thread I'm using which admittedly isn't of the highest quality. I should check that out. Now finally before I finish up... The Friday Five22/5/261. How long to you hope to live (to what age)? I often joke that I'd like to live to be 116 so I can ring in the new century, but that might be a bit too ambitious. I can't think of another age though...except definitely not any time soon! 2. Based on the lifespans of your grandparents and/or great-grandparents, what is your realistic lifespan? Well...Grandpa is alive at 95, although he hurt is hip and although he had surgery he's still recovering so isn't kicking yet. M lived to 91, I think? On Dad's side of the family his father died very young, but also had hemophilia :O(. I'm not actually sure when Grandma died...I know what year she did, but not her age...I think maybe she was in her mid-80s? Meanwhile Dad will turn 80 next year, which is scary to think about O.O So I guess maybe 90s? 3. What is the average lifespan of people in your country? I think the average age for women is 84? Goes to check - wait it's 85 now, well that's cool. But the average expectancy for men is 81! SO let's not think too hard about that O.o 4. At what age do you plan to retire (or did you retire)? Retire? Hahahaha. In all seriousness though, I have no idea...they do say it'll be really difficult to retire. 5. What are your plans for retirement? Beats me! I guess I'd like to go travelling? Hang out with friends, volunteer? Who knows!
Right, I gotta head off now, I need to put my skin cream on and take my anti-histamine, fortunately they're both work and the itchiness and swelling is going down. Huzzah!

11:17pm: Indeed, which required me leaving work early because my doc usually runs late - which he did so today - but he prescribed me a special cream for my itchy bites and advised I take some anti-histamines. I have been hesitant about that because while I do get allergies I usually find anti-histamines too much like they dry me out way too much. But I guess I'll have to risk it because otherwise I'm going to scratch my skin off! Moving on from that, I didn't end up getting a physical copy of Tomodachi Life primarily because - wouldn't you know it - the Big W was sold out when I got there! I was going to ask at the Tech desk if it really was all gone, but apparently a new series of Pokemon cars or something were released today so despite the fact it was 10 minutes to 9am there was a line of 10 people there! I did try and get a price match at JB Hi-Fi, but unfortunately, they don't price match on stuff that's out of stock - which makes sense I guess. Although, as it happens, the Nintendo people said I couldn't get a refund anyway so whatever... Anywho waiting to see the doctor gave me the time to get my island - Mooselandia going and as I write I currently have 6 Miis including BoxFort and Pam from Stardew who have fallen in love just like in Dr Gluon's game, which is pretty funny to me! Interestingly enough, while Alberta in my original game fell instantly in love with Jackson from Doc's Retro Rewind, in this one Jackson decided to be an ass. Oh well, I guess I'll create a Pete :OP I also need to make some BTTF Miis I totally forgot to do that until just now, shakes head. Speaking of shaking my head, I was going to do the Meme because it's up but I also have to get up early to help set up the archery field tomorrow, which means I should totally be in bed already! So I'll have to leave it to tomorrow, I'm sure you can all wait ;O) On that note, Ta-ta! Hunger

10:34pm: About the bug bites, which remain itchy - although not constantly - and quite a few of them are looking worse for wear - they don't seem to be growing in size or anything, but still it seems very unusual, I've never had bites itch for this long... So I looked up available appointments for my doctor and to my surprise he actually has an open appointment tomorrow - the only problem is...it's at 3:30pm and I'm pretty sure he always runs late. Also I don't actually know when I've got desk shifts tomorrow - although I'm pretty sure I do have some. So the question is, should I book the appointment now or wait until I get into work tomorrow? Although writing all this has made me think I should totally make the appointment and if necessary swap shifts with someone. The only reason I'm hesitating is because I'm supposed to get a blood test for my iron levels, which i haven't done yet because he said to get it done at the end of the month. Having said that, I guess if you've gotta see a doc, you gotta see a doc. And I guess I do need to because I haven't started this entry with the exciting news - my second hand Switch Lite arrived today! Somewhat annoyingly it arrived at 8:55am this morning when I was already at work - I did actually toy with the idea of popping home (I drove into work) at lunch to get it, but I decided it was better I didn't. But I definitely jumped on it when I got home! The good news is, it switches on, all the buttons and joysticks work, the bad news was the battery was almost dead, but it's charging slowly now. I have to wonder how long the battery will last though, I didn't actually think to ask about that, having said that it might be a good thing if the battery sucks though, because then I won't be tempted to take it everywhere and play it LOL. I played the demo of Tomodachi Life, which I wasn't sure was worth it until I got to the bit where the shop pops up - and inside was a Box costume! I can make BoxFort! Hooray :OD I'm not sure if I should have used the non-5G version of my internet though, I'm downloading the full game now and it's taking some time. I was surprised to discover that the Switch Lite can indeed take physical game cards, I thought it didn't, I could have bought the game in its physical form! (Which I think is cheaper, a quick Google search though seems to indicate they're not actually available anywhere close by). Well, time is getting away so I gotta turn in now! Ta-ta! Hunger

11:34pm: And I have to go to bed ASAP, but I also washed my hair and it's nowhere near dry yet, which means I'm gonna have to get the hairdryer out before I turn in. Not much to report, I did drop off my Lite n Easy plastic bags and put out the boxes for tomorrow's pick up - originally I was going to drop my car back at my apartment, but my lack of time keeping got me, not to mention the three very large buses that were coming down the narrow street that the Retirement village my parents live in. I have no idea why they let cars park on both sides of the road because it's way too small. As for tomorrow morning, well I plan to drive over in the morning before work - hence why I took a shower tonight - and I'm trying to figure out if I should leave the car parked there and put the Lite n Easy in my parents' fridge/freezer, or drive my car to work via the apartment and drop off the food or catch a bus. At any rate I can't park my car in the underground parking because of the cleaning that's going on tomorrow. I'm also still following the Australia Post tracker in the hopes that my Switch Lite will arrive tomorrow, but it's possible I'll have to wait another day - to which I say boo. Also, I was kind of busy today and forgot to check my phone so I didn't realise I'd missed a call from the people who installed my air conditioner - it's yearly service is due and they wanted to know if they could come by tomorrow. I hope the fact I didn't call back didn't make them think I wanted them to come over, because the place is messy again. However, I don't actually have any desk shifts tomorrow so I might have actually been able to get time off to come back here. As I said though, I don't really want them coming over, I might need to wait until the pest control people come - I'm kinda worried that when they go to open the air con there'll be cockroaches crawling around. I hope they aren't in there... OK, I better go now so I can do my Duolingo and dry my hair! Ta-ta! Hunger

11:33pm: My two new pairs of shoes have passed my podiatrist's inspection, which is very good news because they did cost me $400 altogether so if they hadn't that would have been a very expensive error on my account. The main issue is, as I think I've already mentioned is that I've got weak fingers so the tests I'm supposed to do don't work so well. Like I'm supposed to push at the heel and see if it gives way, but with my thumbs most heels don't give way. Anywho, because of the podiatrist appointment I didn't go to the gym after work today as usual, I was planning to go on Thursday when I thought I had the closing shift, but instead it turns out I'm doing the closing shift tomorrow. This kind of messes with my plans...and I'm also still trying to figure out what to do with my car because it just so happens that the half-yearly underground parking spray clean is on for my level on Thursday. Which means I can't drive home from the parentals on Thursday morning before heading into work like I usually would, so I either have to drive the car to work or leave it there and then drive it home after work. Also it's going to be fully dark when I finish work tomorrow so I'm wondering if should take the car tomorrow...or maybe I should drive over to my parent's place tomorrow morning and just leave the car there for the duration instead (although I'm not sure I want to leave the Lite n Easy out all day - it's in a sealed container with dry ice, but)... Ah the trails of being me :OP In other news I realised that I forgot to watch my show this evening! By the time I remembered it was too late, booo, of course it's easy enough to catch up on so it's not that much of a disaster. Anywho, before I head off, I need to catch up on... The Friday Five15/5/261. How often do you hear live music? Not often, especially since concerts are so expensive! Although if you're talking non-professional music I do hear that once a week usually when Dad plays the guitar at church. Although he and Mum are currently away so I haven't even heard it then! Other than that, sometimes a live music act will be playing at the club when we're having lunch or whatever. 2. What was your favorite live musical performance ever? Ooo that's a toughy... Back to the Future: The Musical which I saw just last year was absolutely incredible! On the other hand I really enjoyed The Corrs concerts I've seen...And I also saw Brian Wilson (of the Beach Boys fame) in concert too. 3. Do you play an instrument, or sing? Hahahaha, oh heck no, I have no musical ability whatsoever, Mum and Dad's talents in that area obviously skipped a generation. 4. Have you ever performed music onstage? See above, in fact I'm pretty sure if I did I'd be in contravention of the Geneva Accords. 5. Who is your favorite musician? Musicians - The Corrs! The actually did do a concert last year and I wonder if I should have gone to it, but it was like 100km from where I live so... OK, I better dash, even though I'm starting late tomorrow I need to keep my sleep schedule on track! Ta-ta! Hunger

10:31pm: I finally caved at after like five days of to-ing and fro-ing on the subject I purchased a Switch Lite, I'm not sure when it's going to show up, it's been posted from another state hopefully not long though! In other news, the itchy bites are outta control, they're just so damn itchy! I even went to the pharmacist during lunch today to ask about them, she seemed to think they were mosquito bites, but it's autumn and while it has been unseasonably warm I'd have thought they'd all be dead by this time of year. Plus I haven't heard them and usually at night time whenever's there's a mosquito buzzing around you can hear it and it drives you nuts. So, I have to wonder if it's not cockroach bites or something and I'm having an allergic reaction to them or something. So yeah, that's fun... I tried to call the pest control people, but I wait too late and they were closed :O( I left a message but haven't heard back, which sucks. I guess I'll need to try again tomorrow. In other news, I think I forget to mention that yesterday I found my Pusheen thermos, I left it behind at Archery! So that was a relief. Ahem, I just had to step away for a bit because I got hiccups, which I also had last night, very displeasing. They've gone now, so good. I did have something else I was going to say, but in typical Moose style I've forgotten what it was... Oh wait now I remember I did at least make sure to call the repair people who were set to come to my parents place tomorrow afternoon to fix the door of the washing machine (it keeps jamming). Instead they'll come next Wednesday - I'm taking that day off because I have a dentist appointment - which I had to move from last month because I forgot to ask for time off and by the time I remembered it was too late to get the time off. Right, so I should be trying to fix my sleep schedule in which case I better wrap this up and head to bed. Ta-ta! Hunger

11:14pm: Today's Archery shoot was a field shoot - which as I've previously noted is where the targets are set up a different distances and sometimes you shoot from inside the bushes or down a hill or up a hill. The targets are also different, they're black and yellow and it only goes up to 6 rather than 10. Anyway, I decided to try the Blue Peg (there's three different pegs, yellow, blue and red - red is the hardest) which turned out to be rather over-ambitious. Since it was the first time I've done the Blue Peg I automatically got a PB as soon as I got an arrow on a target - however, it wasn't exactly a given I was going to manage to get on the target. So the fact I did was a small victory! On the way though, I also lost three arrows! The good news is, they were all found after the shoot and none of them were broken. Still, one usually doesn't lose three arrows in one shoot! Still I guess I had did have fun in the end. ALthough, now that it's almost time for bed I'm itchy again! WTF, I was fine a couple of minutes ago...I wonder if I should go see my doctor about this, I mean it's pretty weird. Anywho, I better get going, once again it's past what should be my bedtime and the work week calls again tomorrow. Ta-ta for now! Hunger

11:17pm: Apparently that's a thing and I only seem to get itchy when I'm feeling stressed so maybe that's what's going on? I sure hope so... What would I be stressed about though? Well, I'm still trying to figure out if I should buy a second hand Nintendo Switch Lite so I can play Tomodachi Life, thing is though...there is a way to play it, but in a way that makes me feel kind of guilty (i.e I ain't paying for it). On the other hand as previously stated I shouldn't be spending money willy-nilly. Also, do I really want a portable game console that I might take to work? It could be a disaster! Anyway, it's late...so I better make this quick because Archery is on tomorrow - and the President of the Club really hates it when you're late. I would have made it on time today except I couldn't find my Pusheen thermos which I usually put cold water in for hydration while playing. I can't figure out where I could have put it, I did of course clean up a whole bunch of stuff when the furniture repair guy came by. I can't think where I could have put it though and I checked the usual spots. :O( A mystery indeed! Right, I got sidetracked - what else is new - so I gotta wrap this up here and get to bed. Although, I think it's raining out there, I hope it stops before morning because doing archery in the rain is no fun. Ta-ta! Hunger

11:37pm: Yeah, I have no idea why, I did do two desk shifts today, but I think I'm doing better with the standing up these days, maybe I just stood oddly. I also though I had more to write about, but be darned if I can remember what I was going say, hmmm, how weird. I also feel like I've forgotten something important, how annoying! Oh wait, I just remembered, it's about Ghosts, the website I've been using to watch the episodes doesn't seem to be working any more and thus I've fallen behind :O( I'm pretty sure the season finale eps are coming up soon and if I can't figure out an alternative I'll miss out on all the fun. Booo. The other thing I just remembered is that Mum sent me a message about taking a half day next Tuesday so I can go to the parental abode to let the washing machine repairman in. But that's quite short notice and work has been a bit funny about taking time off without a lot of notice, which is fair enough I guess. Also I'll be going to the parental abode the next night so I can pick up the Lite n Easy delivery the next day. Which gives me an idea, maybe I can move the time to the Thursday since I might be coming in late anyway depending on when the LnE delivery shows up. Although knowing repair people they might no show up until the last second, which would be irritating. Speaking of irritating, I hope it's not bug related...which reminds me of yet another thing, I forgot to call up the Pest Control people today because I forgot to take note of their phone number... Man, my memory is shot today! Anyway, there's archery tomorrow so I shall be off now. Ta-ta! Hunger

11:30pm: Haha no, not really...but he's been playing the latest Switch game on his stream Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and it looks so fun! I keep being tempted to buy a second hand Switch so I can buy the game. This is a bad idea for many reasons, firstly, I don't need another game to get addicted to. Secondly, even a second hand Switch is pretty expensive, not to mention the game also costs a bit (about $75!) and I'm trying to pay off my mortgage! In other news, the damn bug problem in my house continues unabated. Which truly sucks, because I cleaned up my kitchen, sprayed cockroach killing spray in the hole I think they're coming from (it's a hole that's supposed to be there, cables go through it) and even put out some of the Cockroach Killer Spray - they seemed to decrease in number a few days back, but now the horrible things are back. I guess I should call the pest control people who sprayed the apartment many years ago, whatever stuff they used really worked. Although it was also part of treating the whole building, so it might not be that effective this time. In other news, not much to report, speaking of reports though I did start writing up the one I need to do for work. It's about whether we should keep being a part of this program from our library supplier. I've been keeping some stats on it, so we'll have to see what the data says. Speaking of work, I do have to work two shifts tomorrow so I better get my butt to bed! Ta-ta! Hunger

11:09pm: I have no idea! I guess it wasn't super important in that case...although I once again had to move stuff off my gaming laptop so I could download the new update for The Sims 4. Which is annoying, but what can you do? I don't really think I should get a new laptop when this one still works quite well (when it's not running out of space!) and because it's a gaming laptop it has an excellent graphics card, I imagine it'd be expensive to get a new laptop with an equivalent card. Especially since computer chips are getting really expensive these days - or at least that's what I've heard. Anyway, I'm trying to pay off a mortgage so I shouldn't be making over the top purchases :OP Not much else to report aside from that, plus it's getting late I'm supposed to fixing my sleep schedule after all! So on that note, I shall be off. Ta-ta! PS. I've just remembered...it's my little brother's birthday! We did have the celebration a few weeks ago before my parents left on their trip, but I was going to send him a birthday message today and now it's kind of late...Still, maybe I should and hope his phone is on silent and doesn't wake him up! 10:34pm: Yes! The Couch Repair man came and I was able to leave work and come and meet him here, where he reattached the couch springs, so I am now sitting in my proper spot as I type this out. As mentioned I was curious as to how he'd get to the springs given that the zipper only opens a little bit, but he had an industrial-sized staple remover (the fabric that covers the bottom of the couch is kept in place by these heavy duty staples) and took them out to pull back the fabric to get in there. As it happens, the couch springs are kept in place by plastic things, which was a surprise to me! He replaced the two broken ones with metal ones so they should be secure, I just have to make sure I sit on my couch carefully rather than flop down, LOL. Once he did that he stapled the fabric cover back into place and it was fixed, huzzah! :OD In less pleasant news, later in the afternoon once I went back to work and just before I headed to the gym I started getting a headache and alas by the time I got home it was really quite bad. I took some ibprofen for it but it seemed to take a while to kick in - although the headache's gone away now thankfully, but I'm super sleepy now. I'm certainly glad this didn't happen last week otherwise trivia would have been a disaster! Now though I'm out, I need those zzzs! Ta-ta! Hunger

11:31pm: "Are you available tomorrow? We can do (thing)". That's the message I got from the couch repair guy after work tonight, and first of all, it's really short notice but I think I'll be able to get the time off to come back home and let him in. Second and more importantly...I have not tidied my apartment in like...weeks and the place is a complete disaster zone - well actually it's looking better now (at least to me, Mum probably wouldn't agree) because I've spent the night tidying it. However, there's still messy areas that I'm not sure I'll have enough time to fix up...plus there's the bug issue. There's a lot less of them now, but they still pop up and I'd rather the couch repair man not see them, but there's not much I can do about it. Then again, I have no one to blame but myself for letting the place get into the state it's in. Perhaps this will be the wake up call I need to leave a tidier lifestyle? I kind of hope so! I do hope the guy comes, it isn't a firm confirmation, he says he'll contact me tomorrow, which you know is rather annoying, I have no idea if his clients are usually people who don't work or able to leave said place of work with next to no notice, but who knows? Anyway, I better dash, I was hoping to get more zzzs tonight but I might have to spend a bit more time folding my clean clothes so I can get into my bed, LOL. Remember people, it's good to be tidy... 11:31pm: Leaving this entry a bit late, but what else is new? But, in regards to my subject heading, there was indeed weirdness today at archery. Yesterday I did really well at 40 metres with a better score than I got at 30 metres. This being the case I signed up for the 40m today - and I did terribly! I mean I got a PB, but the first time I did it I'm pretty sure I didn't have my new limbs and bowstring, so the score I needed to beat wasn't anything huge. Still, I have no idea why I suddenly had such a hard time! The only thing I can think of is the shoot was something called a "Ranking Round" and there were a lot more people than usual so there wasn't as much room between me and the next archer. Also, I think I usually stand a lot further to the right of the target than I did today, so my aim was off. But still very strange. In other news, I spoke to Mum this evening, she and Dad are currently in France :D and speaking of strange, it's raining over there and according to Mum it's the first rain they've had in 10 days. Which considering they went to England sounds most unusual! The weather really is whack these days...In more exciting news, tomorrow (French time) they're off to Malta! I've asked Mum to video call me when she's out and about there so I can see what it looks like. And I just realised, I totally forgot to wish her Happy Mother's Day - whoops...I should send her a message before I turn in. Which I should probably do now because I didn't get nearly enough zzzzs yesterday and I don't want to end up with a huge sleep debt. Even though the Giro d'Italia is on and do enjoy a bit of bike riding action. For now though, ta-ta! Hunger

11:45pm: Yes, indeed! The new limbs are paying off, in fact I did better shooting at 40m than 30, which is weird... However, my bow is acting weird, my top limb goes into the bow alright, but I have huge trouble removing it. One of the long-term people took a look and mentioned that the little...thing (I'm not actually sure what it's called) the bolt on the back of the limb slides into is crooked. It's not meant to be, so it's kind of getting caught in there. An odd state of affairs. Hopefully, the guy who looks after the equipment will be in tomorrow and be able to help me out. Apart from that excitement not much to report - I did go down to the nearby Woolworths to recycle my soft plastics, and then headed to Aldi because this week's special is suitcase and travel. I was hoping to get a new suitcase, but alas they were too big. I did get some more cheese though! Also I went to church, the kid who's been playing the piano with Mum and Dad was there, it's the first time he's played by himself and unfortunately, it was a bit rough. I hope he's not to bummed out... Anyway, I stayed up waaaay to late last night, so I have to wrap it up here. Ta-ta! 11:16pm: Indeed! The great man is 100 years old today! :OD Let's hear it for the man with the dulcet tones and conservationist extraordanaire. By co-incidence it's animal print Friday (unofficially) which was a fun coincidence :O) Anywho, I'm planning on doing Archery tomorrow, so I better not dilly-dallying too much. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to create a box for Sims to wear on their head - why do I want to do this, you may ask, well mostly so I can make my own little BoxFort - which is one of Dr Gluon's Tomodachi Life characters who is the personification of a box fort (whenever Doc plays a game where things come in boxes rather than throwing them out he proceeds to make a box fort of them). He's adorable and I think it'd be pretty funny to have him in game. Only problem, I don't know to actually make a mesh that has a hole in it so you can se his face. I found some bag head swatches with lots of different emotions on them, but it's not quite the same. But I may have to roll with it. Fortunately, the kind creators of Sims 4 CC actually have a box costume so I don't have to worry about making that at least - the things people create, it's amazing, LOL. I better be going now - before I do here's... The Friday Five8/5/26These questions were written by pebbleinalake on Dreamwidth. 1. What do you consider your current main fandom? (This can include hobbies and collecting. Anything you feel fannish about!) I'd say... The Sims 4 and the TV show Ghosts. 2. What was your first fandom? It was actually Inspector Gadget, my favourite cartoon! Dad even recorded a few episodes on VHS for me and I watched them endlessly. 3. Do you have any favorite headcanons or fan theories? Ooo lots! But I don't really have the time here to elaborate on them LOL. Most of them have probably been jossed, but what are you gonna do? 4. Have you ever created fanworks? Oh for sure! Mostly fan fic for Back to the Future, although I did write a fic for Ghosts too - although it did get totally jossed, boo-urns. 5. Are you still active in any old fandoms? I'm still a big BTTF fan, although sadly there's no Message Boards anymore - I do go to the Reddit page and sometimes there's interesting stuff there. And now, I'm off! Ta-ta! Hunger

11:28pm: Yes! As it happened the Lite'n'Easy arrived at my parents place before I did this morning, which unfortunately meant that the box that the food was in a few weeks back wasn't picked up because I hadn't put it out. They should be able to take them next time, though. As a result of this, I headed into work on time only to discover that I'd been put on the closing shift since on of the branch staff had called in sick - and I wasn't expected in until 10. The boss did say that he could do the shift instead, but after I flipped a coin I decided that I'd stay back (after all, while we were short on staff the boss was taking heaps of closing shifts) which means I get to start later tomorrow. Fortunately, the Thursday delivery of items wasn't nearly as big as Tuesday's one so with any luck I won't feel like I'm run off my feet. Having said that, I should turn in ASAP, I didn't get nearly enough zzzzs last night (probably because it's that time o' the month) and even if I am getting a later start I need to catch up on those. The closing shift went fine, we managed to get everyone out of the library on time - sometimes patrons dilly-dally - and while I did briefly look at some clothes at T.K Maxx (there was a nice white cardigan, but unfortunately, it was slightly too small for me) I didn't have to wait for the bus because the driver let me on even though they'd just pulled away from the bus stop. The state of my apartment though almost prevented me from getting the pills I'm supposed to take during the first four days of my period - I ran out last time, but went to my doctor and got a new script. Which I thought I'd put safely on my bedside table only to find it not there! Fortunately I managed to track it down and got to the Pharmacy before it closed. Anwyho, I better be off! Ta-ta! Hunger
