A friend of mine pointed out that I neglected to put “Christmas Day” as an option in the poll for my last newsletter…

I guess the joke’s on me!

A sweet baby boy joined our family Christmas afternoon, and we are all enamored. He was incredibly considerate in his timing. We made it to midnight Mass — which itself was an adventure, but declared “the best Christmas Eve service” by the same children who were bordering on tears and falling asleep in the middle of it. I think I went to sleep at 3:30 AM Christmas morning, and woke to a suspicious “pop” around 7:45. I considered it my warning (the midwife thought it was probably a high leak) and we enjoyed Christmas morning, cinnamon rolls, and the much coveted kiddie Jeep (thank you FB marketplace) that has probably had 14 miles put on it since yesterday.
